    Oat nut bread mozzarella sandwich
    Anamika A.

This is a very sweet brunch and breakfast place in Manteca . They had multiple vegetarian options. I ordered oat nut bread with mozzarella sandwich with their home made balsamic dressing .. it was good but cold sandwich. Cheese pesto bagel was also good and a bit hot (temp) . Service was quick and ambience was cute with Friendly staff

This is a convenient quick stop if you are looking for fresh food. We stopped in for coffee and breakfast on our way to a meeting and weren't disappointed. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful! We were only looking for breakfast so didn't try what looked to be delicious sandwiches l, but I can vouch for the avocado toast - either plain or fully loaded! We purchased one of each. All are reasonably priced. You place your order at the counter and the staff will bring your food to you. The setting is simple and there are seats inside and outside. I recommended this for a coffee meeting or a fast, healthy option for breakfast - and most likely lunch!

One of my favorite cafes out here in the valley! Nice spot for a quick Sunday Lunch. The brick walls, framed mini art gallery with signs, and plants make the place feel pretty cozy. They support local artists and have their artwork displayed on the wall for sale! It's always changing every time I come back, so it's nice to see that they support that. Their menu is written on chalkboards on display with a huge variety of drinks and food! Pastries that are baked fresh are also available -- such as banana bread, lemon bars, chocolate chip scones. There's also decent amount of seating inside and a couple of tables outside. Always clean! I particularly like coming here for their lattes and sandwiches. We love a classic iced vanilla latte that isn't just milk and you can taste the espresso. They use Equator Coffee and make their own bread (sort of a Dutch crunch rendition), so can't go wrong with that! Sandwiches come with kettle chips, but you have the option to add $2 to upgrade it to a salad. I've only tried their Turkey Club and Turkey Pesto, which both are equally delicious. Their bread really completes it in my opinion and adds a nice crunch. Everything is priced decently. Depending on the size, the lattes have never been more than $6 (rare I KNOW) and sandwiches remain at $12 - $13. I've called in my order a couple of times, which saves me from waiting 20 minutes for a sandwich on the weekends when they are busier. I like that that's an option they promote. I've only had one instance where they messed up my choice of milk for a latte and one of the baristas was kind enough to make me a new one entirely, so great service!

My husband and I visited this gem for the first time today. We were unaware that they've been open for years, but its better late than never! Upon arrival, the ambiance was lovely. The entire staff was welcoming and kind. Many smiles throughout - they really look like they enjoy what they do! The menu has plenty of delicious options to choose from! We went with a few breakfast options (avocado toast and egg & ham croisant), all of which was delicious! My husband and I shared a medium iced coffee, which was made perfectly! You could taste a small tint of fresh coffee beans with every sip. I'm glad we stopped by. We'll be back to try their sandwiches and salads for sure! Thank you for the excellent customer service!

I had a pleasant experience here myself. I ordered a avocado and cream cheese bagel and it was delicious, I know it sounds plain but it was super good because they give you a healthy amount of avocado and most places don't. My wife didn't like her egg and cheese bagel or her coffee but mine was good so maybe it just wasn't her day lol. Service was fast and friendly and the vibe was average. Nothing out of the ordinary but I would come back if I was passing through Lathrop again.

Local and hidden gem in Manteca! I stopped by for a late breakfast with my bf before we went on our road trip and we were really impressed by the food and drink we got. I'm not too familiar with Manteca but the cafe seemed to be located in an older part of the town in a plaza with many other stores so there is plenty of parking. The cafe itself is very homey and has lots of nice artwork on the walls. We got there around 11 am and there was a long line but it was moving quickly. We were still indecisive when it was our turn so we went the staff's recommendation: everything bagel with chive cream cheese, buffalo chicken sandwich, and zebra mocha to share. Everything was so good, I just wish i went with a different shmear because I thought the chives would have been mixed in and not just placed on top. The coffee was good too and I'm usually not a fan of mocha drinks. The only thing I didn't really like was the close proximity of our table to the tables around us and no public restrooms. Everything else was perfect! Good food, great service, and loved the mom & pop vibes.

The pesto turkey, to die for! Bread is so good. Flavor soo good, perfect size tbh

Uhm what hello how have I not been here before?!? This place is incredible. They absolutely make the best sandwiches, the bread is SO good it's like Ike's sandwich Dutch crunch bread but better imo bc the ratio of bread to crunch is so much better, the flavor WAS ON POINT. I literally want to come back everyday. I'm gonna be trying it all. They make the sandwiches fresh so it a wait but not too long. They're very kind and accommodating, there are spots to sit inside and outside, and the vibes are, well, immaculate See you soon bean and leaf!!

5-Star Review for The Bean & Leaf Café The Bean & Leaf Café deserves every bit of a five-star rating. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt warm, welcoming, and personal, and the staff truly made our visit memorable. I ordered the ham and Swiss bacon croissant paired with a hot chocolate topped with strawberries. The team was kind enough to actually cut the strawberries for me, which added such a thoughtful touch. My partner ordered the fresh bacon egg bagel pesto sun-dried cream cheese sandwich with an iced latte, and also surprised me with a slice of banana nut-free bread. The staff went the extra mile and warmed it up for me without hesitation. Every single item was delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. Beyond the food, what really stood out was how friendly and attentive the staff were. They didn't just take our order they genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. This café has heart, and it shows in both the service and the food. Highly recommend. Solid 10 out of 10.

my go to place to visit when I go to Manteca. I usually order the veggie sandwich. The drinks were chai latte and they were very yummy , has a cinnamon twist. The service is very fast, and everyone is so sweet.

A cute set up they have

Wow this is our first time coming here and I must say that I'm glad we stopped by. Our drinks were perfect and must say better than Starbucks as we are Starbucks fans and the drinks were way better here. Our sandwiches were so good and our turkey club had so much flavor and their spread was so good as well, my BLT was so yummy as well. We will for sure be coming again. The workers were awesome and very friendly and helpful and professional, the inside was nice and clean and the place would get packed of customers so we were like we are in the right place.

One of the best cafes. Their bacon, egg & cheese croissant was delicious and their iced coffee is too. Will definitely return!

    Yes??!!

What milk alternatives do they have?

    Oat, coconut, soy and almond.

Do they offer coconut milk for coffee?

We had it for a short time but I cannot get it by the case for a decent price right now. However we do have soy milk and almond milk

We ordered #14 Italian sandwich and a large cup of clam chowder. The chowder seemed like a bit of a rip-off price-wise, but it tasted good and was enough for two people to share. The sandwich was good as well, the bread was kind of hard since it was toasted. Overall great food, place was clean and friendly staff. Can't wait for the one near me to open.

That is a tough act to follow. The Caprese Sandwich sounded really good. I spent a long time trying to decide what went with Sourdough Bread. We lived in San Jose and went to the other coast, so I've never had San Francisco sourdough bread. I ordered the clam chowder and the Caprese Sandwich sounded. I wanted a 4 inch sandwich but they only had 6 and 8 inch sizes of that certain sandwich. Those two and iced tea gave me a total just under $30. Gaaaahhhhh! It's 2025 and after the pandemic but I'm still adjusting. I went to sit and noticed a dirty table and a mess on the floor. I sat at the next table and hoped that they cleaned it. After a while, they brought the food to me. The clam chowder was good and there was plenty of meat. Usually, restaurants cheapen the mix with loads of potatoes and a hint of clam. The Caprese Sandwich was also very good. I don't realize that it was supposed to come with mozzarella, and I should not have asked for provolone. (If you know all the places in Philly or Jersey where I got sandwiches, you'll know I have some experience.) Since I didn't want that much sandwich, I couldn't eat it all, and walking, I didn't take the remainder with me. The staff was friendly but I could not hear them half the time. Some of the buildings are meant to look cool but are not good with noise.

My wife and I stopped in after our jog along the Tidewater Biketrail, making this our lunch pit stop after starting at Lathrop Road. The Char Siu Pork Bánh Mì is an easy 5/5. The baguette was fresh, crispy on the outside, and soft and chewy inside. The char siu pork was tender, juicy, and perfectly caramelized around the edges. Crisp pickled carrots and daikon, plenty of cilantro, and fresh jalapeños brought everything together. It's a well-balanced sandwich with a portion that's just right. The Grilled Chicken Roll'd deserves more attention. The grilled chicken reminded me of a flavorful chicken satay, and the peanut sauce complemented every bite without overpowering the fresh ingredients. If you're looking for a lighter, protein-packed option, this is it. They also offered complimentary strawberry and passion fruit refreshers. They were a little sweeter than my preference, but the flavors were refreshing. Next time, I'd order one at 50% sweetness. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and a welcome escape from the Central Valley heat. Service has always been friendly, and it's the kind of place where both the staff and regulars make you feel welcome. There's also a Tracy location, but I find myself coming back to the Manteca restaurant. It's smaller, more intimate, and has a charm all its own. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Great food, great people, and a relaxed atmosphere. I always say, good food brings out the best in people.
