I always go there for my jalapeño bagel. I love it the only place I could get it where they make it just like I like it.

Drink: Vanilla Oatmilk Latte So yummy! Not too sweet, and has a great balance of vanilla with the oat milk. It was a great start to my day! Vanilla latte's are my go to, so I'm impressed with what I got! Sure beats the Starbucks next door haha. Service: As I completed my order there was a customer who returned and complained that her drink did not taste good. All the staff addressed this with complete grace and humility. I was really impressed with how they quickly addressed this and provided a resolution to make her another or provide her with another option. This definitely made me like this place more! Furthermore, the barista directly handed me my drink as I was waiting for my drink. It is clear they take pride in their work and product :) Environment: It was a moderately filled cafe, and there were groups of people hanging out and others by themselves individually. I got an Iced Vanilla Latte with a double shot and a carrot bread here. Loved the carrot bread but not so much the coffee. I can see that this place specializes in their food items so I'm not too surprised but the coffee was just not it. I just didn't enjoy the taste of the coffee they used, it was water, kind of sour, and almost had a smokey bbq taste to it? I couldn't drink more than 3 sips of it. Updating my review to highlight the stellar service from Kaden! Came in with my sisters and was looking for something new to try outside of my regular iced white chocolate mocha. He whipped up a vanilla iced coffee with a splash of cream - so simple, yet so good! He really does deliver 5-star service anytime I come in and I can't express how much I appreciate that - especially considering how crabby I can be before I've had my coffee. It's a popular place, but they prepare foods as fast as they can! They have THE BEST chai lattes ever...because they make their chai in-house and it's not some gross fake syrup, like most other places. They have great food for breakfast and lunch as well. Salads are delish! Great atmosphere, great vibe, super nice staff that seem to enjoy working together! Highly recommend!! read more

Food was good. I order the Turkey Pesto Sandwich and a Bagel Bacon and eggs with avocado and was good. The price is a little bit more than usual but good. Coffee was strong and with body. I dream about the next time I can come back here ! Our family has been driving here to Manteca which is a few hours away from where we live since Great Wolf Lodge set up camp here. We love discovering the best food everywhere We travel and wanted a good salad or Mediterranean food. Lo and behold I found Bean & Leaf Cafe through yelp and saw all the amazing reviews! Let me tell you, this place was way beyond what I could have expected! Hands down the best cobb salad of my life ! Fresh greens with Bacon, chicken, avocado egg, tomatoes, onions and cheese. Personally I love feta so I get that instead of blue cheese crumbles with ranch. You ranch lovers out there must get the ranch !!! ... It's homemade, creamy and full of flavor. I always pay for an extra side! ( I can work out out later right?) It gets even better with the homemade bagel chips! My brain synapses have no clue what this amazing explosion of crispy, soft and seasoned perfection is happening. These are popular and get sold out fast! ( don't even try to pay for an extra side of them because they are limited and the answer will be a kind no ) I tell myself that it's ok and that im just being greedy.. they give u plenty with the salad. The best part of everything is that the salad is cut and chopped ready to eat.. I love the presentation of a cobb salad but most places you end up cutting everything and mixing it around before you can eat it. This one is ready ro go! No knife needed. I can't forget the hummus plate which is a personal must have staple! Fresh homemade hummus with cucumbers , onions, tomatoes, olives , and feta served with fresh pita bread. It's a dream really. Great for sharing but who Wants to do that . As I told my husband earlier , this meal is "Last Meal" worthy status! Hands down I would go out a very content person You can tell how much love goes into their menu and business. All the employees reflect such great energy as if they are enjoying what they are doing which makes this place that much better .I worked in the hospitality business for years and let me tell you ... It is so refreshing seeing people who don't look like they are being forced at their will To work somewhere, and are checked out. I call those people zombies .. I try to stay away from them at all costs ! The several times I've been here i'm greeted with a welcoming kind of energy and in my opinion that's usually a reflection on management by hiring the right people and bringing out the best in each one and also creating an atmosphere that is enjoyable to work in! Everything was pretty decent, just a little overpriced and they take forever to bring the food out. They took over 15 minutes to make a side salad and I just told them to give me a bag of chips instead. Very nice people but they really have to work on getting their food out in a timely manner. read more

Service was great! Food is okay. Prices are crazy high and for the food you get I don't think it's worth it. I got the iced white chocolate mocha which wasn't so bad and I also got the ham and cheese croissant sandwich along with chicken chipotle sandwich and a slice of banana bread. the ham and cheese croissant was a too toasted almost burnt and there was absolutely no cheese in it. the chicken chipotle sandwich was really good but it was very small. For almost $13 a sandwich i think they can make it bigger. The only thing i actually loved was the banana bread! best thing they have imo. it is a cute spot that i didn't know manteca had but i wish it was a little better. maybe i need to try something else on their menu so i will be back! read more

I'm a tad confused by what I paid for two sandwiches today. I called and ordered two sandwiches, no drinks or any extras! On the website it says the sandwiches are $9.25 So two would be $18.50 plus tax My confusion is why I pad over $28 for the two? They didn't give or offer a receipt for our meal (someone picked it up for me) so I could look it over. I love supporting small businesses but not when what I am charged is so different then what is listed as prices on their website! read more

We found Bean and Leaf while killing time in the area waiting for soccer games. Nice chill vibe, simple interior, super friendly staff, coffee and very tasty paninis drew us here! Happy to find and independent place with like this for lunch and some laptop time...decently a local following. And refreshing change from the million Starbucks we always see when in the road! This place is quite literally a Costco reseller. Their bagels, croissant, baguette in the sandwich and salad greens are all sourced from Costco. Nothing wrong with that except for their almost 100x margin. Oh and you even have to pay for a cup of water. read more

Forgot what a gem this place is! My kids even chose to order smoothies here instead of going to Jamba Juice! They are so happy they did too! They loved their cream cheese bagels and smoothies! Wow!! What delicious meals. I enjoyed the chipotle chicken sandwich which was wonderful! We also had Asian salad & veggie wrap, which were also delicious. I live in Arizona so won't be able to enjoy it again soon, but looking forward to it again on my next visit. The salads here incredibly amazing! Huge portions. Cobb salad is sooo good. The homemade blue cheese dressing is unexplainably delicious. Super clean place. The water is delivered so it's not the nasty city water you get at most restaurants. ALL the ladies that work here are super friendly and helpful. The food is outstanding here!!! Fresh salads, fat sandwiches, flat breads, amazing homemade hummus, with best bagel chips!! I always order the Asian salad. Tons of toppings, all piled high, all fresh and delicious. I have also had the turkey pesto sandwich which is loaded with ingredients I never leave without a side of hummus. They have really good iced tea -- the only drink I order wherever I dine out. Nice and strong, never cloudy (indicating old tea). My only complaint is they are consistently understaffed. The tables are often dirty, the wait is long to get your order -- particularly at lunch time -- and the staff is not always friendly. Unfortunately if I'm on my lunch break, I go to a different place. read more

The menu is up on the wall in chalk but they have paper menus for easier reading. Little tables and chairs inside and a few outside. They've got breakfast and lunch.
