Drink: Vanilla Oatmilk Latte So yummy! Not too sweet, and has a great balance of vanilla with the oat milk. It was a great start to my day! Vanilla latte's are my go to, so I'm impressed with what I got! Sure beats the Starbucks next door haha. Service: As I completed my order there was a customer who returned and complained that her drink did not taste good. All the staff addressed this with complete grace and humility. I was really impressed with how they quickly addressed this and provided a resolution to make her another or provide her with another option. This definitely made me like this place more! Furthermore, the barista directly handed me my drink as I was waiting for my drink. It is clear they take pride in their work and product :) Environment: It was a moderately filled cafe, and there were groups of people hanging out and others by themselves individually. When I was recommended this place, I went in with pure joy that I was going to find a delicious salad. Decided to grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich as well. Ended up spending $36! I said, screw it and just went on with my day. Breakfast sandwich was very plain something I could've made at home. The eggs had too much pepper and the ham was just a thin slice. The coffee was way too sweet and was made with coffee ice cream, I gave it a try, but honestly, I really did not like it. The salad on the other hand was good. I requested extra lettuce. Was a decent size salad but I don't know about spending over $15 for it. There wasn't much chicken or toppings. I asked for extra chicken and they wanted to charge me an additional three dollars! Insane! I know about inflation people don't worry, I expected to pay a little bit more but I'm sorry I have to complain about the price. It's insane to me that these days a salad cost way more than getting a greasy fattening burger. I wish I could just find somewhere that has healthy food for, decent prices and sizes. I would give the salad about 4 out of 10 the breakfast sandwich a two out of 10 and the coffee a two out of 10. And the only reason I'm giving is because I don't want to say one or zero so I'm being nice :) I will end this review with saying everybody at the location was super nice friendly service. There seem to be a lot of people at this place too so I'm sure it's a really quick place for someone to grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich. This review is just my personal opinion. I got an Iced Vanilla Latte with a double shot and a carrot bread here. Loved the carrot bread but not so much the coffee. I can see that this place specializes in their food items so I'm not too surprised but the coffee was just not it. I just didn't enjoy the taste of the coffee they used, it was water, kind of sour, and almost had a smokey bbq taste to it? I couldn't drink more than 3 sips of it. It's a popular place, but they prepare foods as fast as they can! They have THE BEST chai lattes ever...because they make their chai in-house and it's not some gross fake syrup, like most other places. They have great food for breakfast and lunch as well. I dream about the next time I can come back here ! Our family has been driving here to Manteca which is a few hours away from where we live since Great Wolf Lodge set up camp here. We love discovering the best food everywhere We travel and wanted a good salad or Mediterranean food. Lo and behold I found Bean & Leaf Cafe through yelp and saw all the amazing reviews! Let me tell you, this place was way beyond what I could have expected! Hands down the best cobb salad of my life ! Fresh greens with Bacon, chicken, avocado egg, tomatoes, onions and cheese. Personally I love feta so I get that instead of blue cheese crumbles with ranch. You ranch lovers out there must get the ranch !!! ... It's homemade, creamy and full of flavor. I always pay for an extra side! ( I can work out out later right?) It gets even better with the homemade bagel chips! My brain synapses have no clue what this amazing explosion of crispy, soft and seasoned perfection is happening. These are popular and get sold out fast! ( don't even try to pay for an extra side of them because they are limited and the answer will be a kind no ) I tell myself that it's ok and that im just being greedy.. they give u plenty with the salad. The best part of everything is that the salad is cut and chopped ready to eat.. I love the presentation of a cobb salad but most places you end up cutting everything and mixing it around before you can eat it. This one is ready ro go! No knife needed. I can't forget the hummus plate which is a personal must have staple! Fresh homemade hummus with cucumbers , onions, tomatoes, olives , and feta served with fresh pita bread. It's a dream really. Happy to find and independent place with like this for lunch and some laptop time...decently a local following. And refreshing change from the million Starbucks we always see when in the road! I got the iced white chocolate mocha which wasn't so bad and I also got the ham and cheese croissant sandwich along with chicken chipotle sandwich and a slice of banana bread. the ham and cheese croissant was a too toasted almost burnt and there was absolutely no cheese in it. the chicken chipotle sandwich was really good but it was very small. For almost $13 a sandwich i think they can make it bigger. The only thing i actually loved was the banana bread! best thing they have imo. it is a cute spot that i didn't know manteca had but i wish it was a little better. maybe i need to try something else on their menu so i will be back! read more

The salads here incredibly amazing! Huge portions. Cobb salad is sooo good. The homemade blue cheese dressing is unexplainably delicious. Super clean place. The water is delivered so it's not the nasty city water you get at most restaurants. ALL the ladies that work here are super friendly and helpful. Tons of toppings, all piled high, all fresh and delicious. I have also had the turkey pesto sandwich which is loaded with ingredients I never leave without a side of hummus. They have really good iced tea -- the only drink I order wherever I dine out. Nice and strong, never cloudy (indicating old tea). My only complaint is they are consistently understaffed. The tables are often dirty, the wait is long to get your order -- particularly at lunch time -- and the staff is not always friendly.
