The place is almost always packed when I arrive, yet it's never loud inside, so it's still easy to hold a conversation. There's always plenty of outdoor seating. The valley can get pretty hot in the summer, but the weather is usually nice enough to sit outside 9-10 months of the year (and almost always pleasant if you're meeting in the morning). Don't order a macchiato from here expecting a Starbucks sugar bomb - a true macchiato is espresso with a small amount of foamed milk (in Italian it means "stained" or "spotted") and they nail it every time! This place is a bust! Me and my wife love coffee and like to support independent coffee shops as much as possible. We've been wanting to visit Austin's Coffee for a while but they're closed on Sundays and after 4(?). We finally got a chance but it was a big let down I ordered the baristas recommendation for the day which was ok but nothing I'd return for/reorder and my wife ordered a carmel macchiato both drinks were a medium. What a joke!!!! The "mediums" are basically smalls either 6oz or 8oz. My wife's "medium" was literally a shot, check out the pictures. Needless to say we will not be coming back @Sarah D- Thanks for the offer and reaching out, but your offer of complementary coffee will not persuade me to update my review. Furthermore when my wife brought this issue up to one of the baristas she gave some excuse (I didn't hear what she said) about this is how they are. This is a sunk cost for me and an object lesson for others. This is my first experience at this establishment and I have to say the vibe is really unique. I can't recall a vibe like this but it's pretty cool but it kinda depends on your life priorities. Let me explain a bit... First, there are some really cool eats here. Everything looks fresh and well composed in the kitchen. Scones and other pastry type eats look like they are from scratch and the baristas are very friendly and efficient. As for the vibe, I can't say exactly what it is but there are a selection of books that are most evidently religion based. It's not a knock on the establishment, it's just a first for me to come across a coffee house with this type of open announcement of their belief system. I usually think of business as religiously innocuous but it seems to work in this place. The conversations on the patio were very interesting and there were more older and established clientele. I'm in the hunt to find a coffee shop that sells a lavender latte. I'm always looking for that flavor first. Luckily, this place has it. We noticed that the drinks are on the expensive side. Even for just one cookie, it cost $3.50. My boyfriend ordered the alma mater. This drink had caramel and vanilla poured over ice topped with whipped cream. I went for the rosemary latte. It drink tasted really good and it reminded me of my favorite coffee shop in the Bay Area. The lavender cookie tasted lemony and had real lavender bits sprinkled on top. And that's another thing to note, this place is super Christian forward and has bibles for sale and Christianity forward merchandise. Austin's Coffee Crafters is a really aesthetic coffee shop sandwiches between a couple really good restaurants and it is a great option to get a cup after a nice meal. The service is so friendly here and you are always provided a smile and attentive customer service. There is a good amount of seating indoors and outside. Inside it gets a little toasty, but it is comfortable. The decor is also very creative and well thought out. Downside is that is does close on Sundays. I ordered the Elementary Chai ($4.75) and it might be one of my favorite Chai Lattes especially for the price. It's not too sweet and they add plenty of spices on top. The barista was also super nice and told me it isn't very sweet so if I needed to add more sweetness I can ask them which was great. It was a great experience going here and I love supporting a local neighborhood coffee shop in a small town like Ripon. Parking is also fairly easy during certain times. I've been to Austin's a handful of times now. They have quality tasting hot, vanilla lattes and delicious breakfast sandwiches. Last time I went was before Christmas 2023 coming back to Stockton from Modesto. I choose local, one of one coffee houses every time over ginormous chain coffee stores. Austin's fits the bill. What makes them stand out is that they actually have a drive thru. I never see local coffee spots have drive-thru's!!! Unfortunately the drive thru was closed for some reason and the wait was long but kinda expected for the holidays and the drive-thru being closed. Came here for the first time yesterday. I love that they have a drive thru! It makes it so much easier to order on the go. Lucky us, they still have the winter menu so we tried the Butterscotch and the Chocolate Latte with Almond milk. The butterscotch was good but my partner said it tasted slightly water down.
