There is nothing specifically different about this donut shop compared to others you have visited. The shop is clean and orderly with plenty of seating. They have a decent selection of standard and special types of donuts. They serve coffee and there is a beverage fridge with various drinks to quench your thirst. Small shops in Ripon always have a locals type of feeling, so you will usually see a group of old boys sitting in there talking shop. The lady behind the counter has always been a pleasure to deal with and greets me upon walking in. I have posted a photo of the most updated pricing. I would say their pricing is pretty fair at $13 for a dozen regular style donuts and $16 if you want special/filled donuts. read more

Wow! This was my husband and I's first time here and let me say not only is the service amazing but the donuts are too! This photo hardly does any justice because let me tell you these donuts are fresh, soft, fluffy and airy definitely everything you'd want in a donut. I also had the pleasure of having a glazed raspberry filled donut that was filled after I had ordered--not sure if this is normally how they do it or not--but it was definitely a plus for me since I was able to request extra which was scrumptious! This place was PACKED this morning! I am beyond impressed how fast the line went though, with only the "sunshine lady" working the front. Very efficient, tasty treats, this place is great! It truly is a small town gem. For the newbie, it is in the heart of Ripon in a strip mall. They take plastic (credit/debit) but it is a $5 minimum or you will have a nominal charge in using for a lesser transaction. read more

Very disappointed! Decided to try a new donut shop out with my daughter who's name is Sunshine...perfect, It Was Anything But. Showed up a little after 9am on 12/22 and the Open neon sign was off but door unlocked. I went inside and lady said no more donuts. Not a single one left? How can that even be possible when your hours are supposed to be Open until 1pm? Drove from Manteca. Half an hour round trip for nothing. The quick minute I was there another potential customer drive up and pulled away after seeing they were Closed. You have customers but nothing to sell = Horrible Business Model. read more

This is the type of business that I want to support even when I might not have the money or the craving. They are always so kind. On top of the always amazing service there donuts are always fresh and amazing. I'm very picky when it comes to the oil used for frying food since you can taste when oil is getting old. The donut shop I used to go to was hit and miss on whether the oil tasted fresh which is why I started coming here and never went back to the old place. What a find! Going to a meeting in Salida, Found Sunshine on Yelp. Called up to confirm directions and the nice young woman told me to order now as they were going fast. Sunshine is one of our favorite donut shops in the Valley. It's a small, family business who have always been friendly and pleasant. Selection can be limited depending on how busy they are, but all the donuts we've tried have been good. The fruit rolls are unique and quite tasty, the apple fritters are good, but you really can't go wrong here. read more
