It has been a long time since I've visited this establishment. I used to frequent to purchase staff donuts in the morning - after about a year and a half break, I decided to treat my staff again. The employee was courteous which is the only redeeming factor for three stars versus a lower rating; minus two stars were for the donuts that I paid for vs what I got. The cost alone is absurd and we can thank inflation for that. $15 for a regular dozen, $20 for a fancy dozen. I'm not sure if these are normal prices now because it has been quite some time since I've purchased donuts from anywhere ... but. I opted for a fancy dozen. I did not know paying $20 for fancy would only mean 1/2 of what I received would be "fancy" and the other half would be "regular". I don't consider the regular two glazed, one chocolate, one maple, one old fashioned and chocolate sprinkle to be "fancy". Unsure if I'll return. I certainly will not purchase a fancy dozen again. read more

We were craving donuts and were in the same shopping center as this place, we went in and were told they were closed but the worker then told us to wait at the door and gave us a bag of donuts. This place sucks. It's really too bad because it's right down the street from my house and they have one of the best apple fritters I have ever tasted. The problem is that they sell out of donuts before 7:30am. Now if you want a plain glazed donut, this is your place. No one wants those so they probably have leftovers of those when they close. Check the dumpster behind the building at noon and there are probably two bags full of glazed donuts in it. I've been here 5 times and only once have I been able to get an apple fritter. This morning when there were none left he told me to go down the street. There's your answer Yelpers! If you want a variety of donuts from a place that makes enough to keep an inventory past 7:30am then your best bet in Ceres is Donut Town. Got some today! I got there around 11:30 so the donuts weren't the freshest. I thought the donuts were kind of pricey in my opinion. The people who work there are very nice though. Also clean environment and a comfortable environment! They do give you free wifi too. I bought 2 glaze donuts, 1 chocolate donut, and dozen donut holes which came out to = $4.05 Do enjoy coming here. I would come here more often BUT they only open till 1 p.m!! That's really really early. So I only come when I can actually beat the time before they close lol. Consider this an Ode to Donuts, a favorite of law enforcement and commoners alike, all delicious and non-nutritious this is a homage to the almighty Donut the King of all Pastries (The One Ring to Rule them All)! Recently in my hedonistic, life- long search for the holy grail of fine, deep fried goodness; brought me to the pillars of Glaze-d Donuts located inconveniently in Ceres (middle of nowhere /armpit) of California. For those of you who have little knowledge of where Ceres is located, Ceres is next to Modesto, to those who have never heard of Modesto, you are fortunate Google it. Modesto is one of those towns you can easily discern that the local highlight is its farmer's market and the nightlife consists of hanging out at the neighboring Wal-mart. The first thing you will notice about Modesto's landscape is that it is so depressing and flat, that you would be hard-pressed to find a building over 2 stories and the tallest structure in a 30 mile radius is a water tower and/or grain silo. The second thing you will notice exiting your vehicle is the strange smell of Modesto itself, a simple mixture of cow manure and utter failure of which the locals are blithely unaware they are undoubtedly used to it. The one silver shining beacon of hope for Modesto is Glaze-d Donuts, I must say when I first walked in I was surprised at how clean and well lit the place looked; as compared to any other donut shop even in the Bay Area. As for the taste, as you voraciously sink your teeth into their famed Old Fashioned Chocolate devouring the buttery, milky flesh and softly smothered chocolate, it felt like an angel came down from heaven and slapped you in the mouth. Their Bearclaws should be renamed Big Foot Claws due to size alone. Their Cinnamon Buns are the size of a premature baby you have to hold them with two hands. The Vanilla Iced Coffee tastes like the first ray of sunshine after a three day rain, its creamy smooth texture, tantalizingly strong and yet sweet at the same time (just like me lol). In conclusion what have I learned? It is clean has a Starbucks like vibe and has some variety in its coffee like iced etc. Comparable in prices to other donut shops.
