i had dounuts from there twice and they were amazing! your classic donut. they have very many varieties from donut holes, classic, and larger ones. the ladies that were working there at the time bonded very well together and it was not noisy inside. the entrance is able to be accessed by the disabled. it smelled normal, a good sign. the floor and kitchen are clean, as are the works. I prefer Donut Family, but Scotty's make a yummy maple bacon bar that my beloved hubby really enjoys, so I come here occasionally to get one for him. My wife went to get donuts with lemon & custard filling for friends. All donuts were wrong and when we called they wanted the donuts back, even the ones we threw away to prove they were wrong. It's like what happened to customer service. It would cost me more in gas to get there than the donuts cost. Very disappointed read more

We visited for the first time and got the plain glazed donuts. They were stuffy, fluffy pillows of deliciousness! I game my granddaughter the first one in the car and all I could hear in the back seat was mmmm. I tasted one when we got home and did the same. Then my daughter did it to lol. I was visiting my daughter and her family that live in Oakdale. The kids said they really liked Scotty's donuts so I took them over to buy a dozen. Some of the donuts were good but probably half of them were very dry. I had a cinnamon roll that was Not cooked very well. Maybe it was a off day I don't know, but for dozen donuts it was $27 so I don't think I would go back. read more

I don't live in the area so sadly I can't go here as often as I'd like. Over 20 years ago my family stopped in here on a whim on the way to Grandma's. What we thought would be just any old doughnut shop turned out to instantly be THE BEST DOUGHNUTS WE'VE EVER HAD!!! We've been stopping in to this shop just about every time we see her since that first visit. I can't figure out what makes them exceptional, and frankly I don't care! I've had them enough times to know that they weren't a fluke. Sadly, today might have been the last time I visited the shop as Grandma no longer lives in the house we were visiting. I've no doubt the store will flourish til humans don't like doughnuts anymore! read more

I stopped by Scotty's a few weeks ago. On my way up to Sonora for work. It is now my go to couple times a week. I get excited waking up in the morning to grab my coffee and donut from Scotty's and talk with the people there. The man and lady behind the counter are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Prices are high for donuts. There are only twi donut shops in Oakdale. I wish there were more options because the donuts here aren't fresh or made well but it's really the only place in town to get donuts. I would probably drive a little further out to Valley donuts or if you want a good donut, Mr. Ts. It's hard to keep donuts fresh but some shops do it well by using quality ingredients. This shop isn't the best, you could tell they cut corners with their ingredients. It's really a hit or miss if you get good donuts. Best time to go is in the morning before 10am. Anything after 10am, go elsewhere. read more

If you need donuts for your next office meeting, family gatherings or even at a Fundraiser Event. You need to have Scotty's Doughnuts. Dont settle for any other kind. I was even at the Modesto Alzheimer's Walk a few weeks ago and they had dozens & dozens of Scotty's Doughnuts there. Even had several dozens with the Alzheimer's color purple on top. Scotty's is my go to doughnuts, even worth the drive from Modesto to Oakdale. Very good donuts but the prices are too high compare to other donut shops in the area. I expected the donuts to be about the same price for apple fritters but they are a dollar fufty for apple fritters and close to a dollar for every other donut.
