I really want to support Sunshine Donut since it's a family-run business and the only donut shop in town, and I genuinely wish them nothing but success. That said, as a local resident, the experience has been frustrating more often than not. Their posted hours say they're open until 2 PM, but in reality, they're usually sold out by around 10 AM. It makes it really difficult to plan a visit unless you go very early, which isn't always realistic for everyone. If the shop consistently sells out that early, it would be helpful to either adjust the hours or increase production so more people actually have a chance to buy something. Because this is the only donut option in town, it would be nice to have a more reliable experience--or even some competition to give residents a bit more choice. Again, I respect that it's a small, family-owned spot, but as it stands, it's hard to depend on them if you're not there first thing in the morning. Please try to work on this sunshine. I would hate for a chain donut store to come to this town, but at the end of the day i would take consistent service over anything. read more

We were heading to have breakfast with my in laws and hubby was craving donuts, we told me about this donut shop that is a tradition for all the families in Patterson , he told me how the owner use to be a mailman , as soon we got there it was busy with customers but the service was fast, big selection of donuts , coffee and other drinks I love that have some seating inside and outside , the shop is little but is well organized and clean , the ladies behind the counter super friendly. Grew up coming here in high school and nothing has changed at all about this place! Such an adorable local donut shop in downtown Patterson. Parking is very accessible and there's indoor and outdoor seating available. They have a ton of refrigerated drink options and a wide variety of donuts. Service is very friendly and the donuts are amazing. Ordered a dozen donuts and several donut holes for my brothers birthday. Up early Saturday morning, snuck out of the house to go get a dozen. Big selection, fresh and fast service. The donuts are great, melt in your mouth, made for a happy morning. We had the nicest experience with the owners today, during our last minute decision to grab donuts on our drive down home to Southern California. They had already closed. I was standing there waving my arms about hoping my friendly demeanor welcomed their attention. With good fortune, the owner opened the door to ask how she could help and I explained that my wife and I were wanting to eat donuts for our 8 hour trip down south. She hesitated a bit, but asked what kind of donuts we were looking for. At closing, I didn't expect them to have any specialty donuts left or fresh ones at that. She said, "I don't have any apple fritters left but I'll make you a box of what we do have left. Would that be okay?" Of course, I was completely shocked by the offer of an entire box made... and I answered with an exuberant, "YES! Thank you!!!" In a few minutes, she came out with a box full of soft and fluffy donuts and asked for a tiny fee of $7. Blessings and favors don't have to be honored and my wife and I were grateful for her willingness to help us out for our road trip. Oh and the donuts?!?!?.... DELICIOUS!!!!!! This is the only true donut store in Patterson. The store is super small and can get very busy but you never really wait long. The donuts and croissants are really good, I especially like the apple cinnamon bear claw. I've never had the coffee so I couldn't tell you how good it is. The store is kept clean even though they get tons of traffic coming in and out. There is plenty of parking with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is always hard working and friendly. Even though they only take cash it is hands down worth the trip to the atm machine. Staff is super friendly. They are busy but they are def quick. I used to go here as a kid and it's great to see that they are still open to this day. Donuts are fresh and soft. The coffee is also fresh. I really enjoy coming here.
