Donut Delite is hands down my favorite donut shop. Every single time I come here, I already know what I'm getting -- the #9 breakfast croissant sandwich with egg and jalapeño -- and it never disappoints. Super delicious every time. The sandwiches are amazing, the donuts are always fresh, and honestly everything on the menu hits. On top of that, the customer service is always top-tier. Kids wanted donuts. Didn't want to drive far to get them at our normal spot so I saw they were open and decided to give them a try. Soon as we parked we see a homeless man bare bottom walking up and down the sidewalk. Walk inside and the lady greets us. I look at the donuts and order as she is selecting them I notice a bunch of flies behind the counter and some are actually landing in the donuts. Told her no thank you immediately and we left. I am from the east bay and recently moved to Ceres. There is a donut place in Hayward that is literally the best all over! I tried Donut Delite and they're donuts comes extremely close to being better than the place in Hayward! Very nice staff! No newspapers sold here. read more

Do not waste your time just go to Starbucks/ Mr.Ts i wouldn't recommend coming here to anyone!!! The location is in a decent area but the front of the store is basically a hobo hangout, bums loitering in front of this place 24/7 and the management does nothing. Pretty sure she gives the homeless the old old donuts at the end of the day , it's the only reasons l can think they sit there all day everyday. I'm not sure on what your expectations of of a donut shop is, but if you want a dark dirty shop with no lights on , flies everywhere and only 3 racks of donuts, with. A rude old lady owner and all the donuts look basically the same and have no real variety come here. I walked inside and was immediately disgusted with the establishment i Tried discussing the issues with the manager/store operator and She said "What Can I do" i quickly left and will never return. These people are rude! The lady that is there is a disappointment to humanity. My sister asked her a simple question about the ingredients because my niece is deathly allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and she was completely rude and got mad because my sister asked if there was any danger of cross contamination or any peanut or nut ingredient in the regular donuts. Her answer was to tell us we can go somewhere else if it was an issue. Sorry for not wanting someone we care about to die because of the negligence of uneducated people using the same tongs to get all the donuts and cross contaminating all of them and making it a risk for people with allergies. There's a lot of choice words I would like to say to this lady but karma will get to her. I hope she never has to deal with the struggles of a child with multiple allergies, it's one of the hardest struggles to deal with. read more

Stopped here after shopping at Food 4 Less across the street. As soon as I pulled up I was a little hesitant getting out of the car since I was by myself. There were two homeless men sitting there staring at me. But I pulled on my big girl panties and got out, they were actually friendly and said good morning, I told them good morning as well. I rushed into the donut to avoid anymore conversation with them. When I walked in there, there were two gentlemen inside at a table talking and that was it. The lady at the counter greeted me and I saw there wasn't much selection at 9:30 in the morning.Which is really odd so early in the morning. So I picked what I thought my Hubby and I would like and left. I'm wondering if the reason for the small selection is that they don't get many customers and end up throwing a lot out. Which is a bummer, but I'm sure if they called the city and asked for a no loitering sign out front and be more pro active about the situation they would have more customers.. Just a thought. I purchased 3 dozen doughnuts for my sons birthday. We planned on taking them to his class as a snack. We ordered the doughnuts but it took awhile because there were hardly any doughnuts at 8am. We waited for the chocolate ones to be ready. We were given two boxes of doughnuts, so I grabbed them and the kids and loaded up because we were now running late. I was called by the teacher because they shorted us a box of doughnuts. I had not even counted, I just assumed they were all in there. The teacher ran down on her recess break to explain what happened, the women behind the counter did not know what the teacher was talking about, so the teacher purchased the lost box of dozen doughnuts. I called, but it was 3pm and there was no answer. First thing in the morning I went in and explained what happened. The woman did not remember me, and asked for my receipt. I showed her my charges-$31.99. I told her that the teacher came down to explain we were shorted doughnuts. I was then informed she remembered exactly what she gave me and she knows I am wrong. I asked if she could ring up 3 dozen doughnuts and 3 chocolate milks, and it was only $26.75. I asked how I had the extra charge and she said she did not know. I told her that I would just like what I paid for. She proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and she remembers what she gave me. The continual rudeness of her toward me was alarming and very upsetting. I have been purchasing doughnuts for my three kids every year on their birthdays from this shop for seven years. I was called a liar and given a box of doughnuts she threw in the box. NEVER AGAIN will I order doughnuts from there. The doughnuts she gave me the day prior had all melted because they were just thrown in the box. Not only did it waste my time, the kids were disappointed, and the teacher went out of her way to help. I covered my portion, and then the teachers portion. This was a costly mistake to not count the amount of doughnuts I bought, all because I trusted the business. If I could give a zero, I would. They have an awful business relationships with their customers. read more
