We stopped in for coffee and some quick breakfast bites before attending a softball tournament at Mistlin Sports Complex across the street. The shop is attractive and clean, it wasn't crowded, and staff was pleasant. My decaf latte was good and the portion of cream cheese with my bagel was generous. There were two problems, though. One person in our party complained that her regular coffee was only lukewarm and not very strong. The other disappointment was that they offer only one size for many of the drinks. I would have preferred a much larger latte to start my morning, a la Starbucks venti. Overall, it's a good choice if you're in the area and need that coffee. But I would encourage a couple of changes. read more

Wow! What a great find in Ripon. Great coffee shop with nice selection of food as well. Fits right in that space between hipster coffee shops and the big corporate places. Breakfast sandwiches are fresh (not just heated in a microwave) and coffee is craft level (Counter Culture). Customer service is prompt and friendly, everything you'd want from a coffee shop. I wanted to share my experience this morning. I wish I could say that I had a pleasant experience here, but it was quit the opposite. My sister and I were in the drive thru, and ordered to sandwiches. I have been here a couple of times previously and have typically always had a long wait time in their drive thru, but once our wait time had reached around 15-20 minutes, I nudged my car forward and a younger lady with black curly hair opened the window and asked "do you have a question?" in what seemed to be an annoyed tone. In no impolite way at all, I simply asked "hi yea! Are our sandwiches almost ready?" She tilts her head at us and says verbatim, "Um no. Probably not." And shut the window on us not saying anything else, with no smile, no "sorry" no nothing except an attitude. The reason I asked is because we both had infants in the car and I was simply wondering how much longer the wait would be; after all.. we were in a drive thru. I was completely taken aback, and looked at my sister who had her mouth open in shock by the response we had just received. We decided to park our car, and go inside to wait. When inside, I politely asked one of the male employees if I could have a chat with the manager. The lady who we received the attitude from butted in and said there wasn't one on shift, that her manager works all the time and that she couldn't tell me when she was in, but that *she* was the "lead on shift". All to which, still not getting any apology for her behavior, no accommodation or apology for the long wait, nothing still, and her tone was still very off putting. I did *not* come in there to bark at them and make a fuss. I responded to her, "they have you as the lead and you're the one that gave us attitude?" she proceeded to argue with me and call me disrespectful, scoffed and said "this is too much" and muttered under her breath that i needed to go while turning away. I then left, and absolutely will not be coming back. Coming from someone who has had a restaurant family business growing up, customer service has always been a huge priority for me, and there were a million different ways she could have handled that better. I have always been polite and understanding of servers and restaurant/food workers. After hearing mixed reviews already of the place, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and still support a local business, but that just ruined it for me. I'll take my business elsewhere; just wishing that they'd change up their behavior and mannerisms in a place that should put and treat customers first. I will definitely be in contact with the Manager or Owner. read more

Finally made the trek to Austins and it was an amazing experience. The cappuccino was fantastic the baristas are super service oriented and the owner Alexis is an absolute class act! She came over greeted and welcomed us. So refreshing to have that hospitality touch. read more

Came here for breakfast and walked into a bustling and modern coffee shop. Such a gem! Beautiful color scheme and decor. Staff were friendly and provided prompt and courteous service. They also have a drive through which I have never seen in a local coffee shop. I tried the breakfast bagel sandwich with ham and cheese, overall tasty and filling. I love Austin's! It's the seriously the best little coffee shop in the area. In addition, it is touching to know the story of Austin or "Smiley" and the reason that Austin's Coffee Crafters came to be. I enjoy coming here for the craft coffee, the delicious whole food with real ingredients (eggwiches, sandwiches, granola and yogurt bowls, etc.), their seasonal menu, and simply to sit and read a book. This cute coffee shop gives me all the Magnolia vibes, for all of you Chip & Joanna Gaines fans out there! We stopped by early one morning on our way down to LA. We were greeted by multiple people, their customer service is great! The guy who rang us up was so helpful and descriptive when my hubby asked for their recommendation on best creamy bittersweet drink. All of the syrups are made in house here. They had some seasonal drinks available too. Lavender seemed prominent in a lot of their drinks, which really isn't my thing, so I decided to get their Straight A - a hazelnut maple sweet cream latte, with oat milk. It was delicious! The maple really comes through and I loved the sweetness level of the drink. They even have a drive thru here. I hope they'll be open for a long time because this is definitely my new favorite coffee stop on our drives down to SoCal! read more

(COVID-19 REVIEW) Austin's Coffee Crafters is located in the left corner of small plaza next to Klean Eatz (Market + Bakery) and a couple of restaurants. Both the exterior and interior of the coffee place had some wooden fixtures, dark blue accent walls, and LOTS of plants. There's plenty of room inside to walk around, which includes tables to study at and a large couch faced towards the outside seating. There were even some cards and tote bags that were displayed, but had no price tags. Honestly, this place had the term "modern rustic" down to the core and I was here for it! They have a huge green menu to your right that displays all of their drinks and snacks. Also, there's a couple of menus you could grab to look at really quick in case the line is really long. After some serious digging on Yelp, I opted for the Alma Mater ($5.00) and my grandma got the Mocha ($4.50). Their menu was definitely on the pricier side, but most places make drinks $4-5 anyways. The coffee blends they use was on the strong side. The Alma Mater was a bit too strong for me and tasted nutty? It was kind of odd since the drink description said it would taste like Caramel & Vanilla, so I was confused on what the goal for that drink was. The whip cream made it a bit sweeter, but as it disintegrated into the drink I was left with a watery consistency of coffee. The drink looked amazing though, so I was disappointed that my tastebuds were not in favor. The mochas, however, were yummy! The ratio of coffee to chocolate flavor was beautiful. It was not at all sweet, which is great for people who truly enjoy the flavor of coffee with a hint of something chocolatey. I would come back to try their pastries such as the Almond Croissant and sandwiches to gain a better sense of my opinion on this place. The place itself was decent, which is why I gave it 2-3 stars. Although I really enjoyed their mochas, I wasn't really satisfied with my overall experience. There was no problem with the customer service since the atmosphere was very welcoming, so I do hope to come back and give this place another shot! read more

This is the perfect midway stop to Yosemite from the Bay Area. If you like to leave early like I do for a road trip, this is the stop to grab some breakfast and coffee, and stretch your legs before you continue your drive. Located in a small strip mall, they offer some fun coffee options and good service. Because this is my breakfast stop when going up to Yosemite, I usually pick up a Asiago bagel with honey pecan cream cheese ($3.50) or a ham and cheddar bagel sandwich ($7.75). Both are pretty good and they toast the bagels (which I always prefer). For drinks, I really liked their matcha lemonade (20oz for $4.50), and even though a tad too sweet for me, the Alma mater (20oz for $4.50)- caramel & vanilla poured over iced coffee topped with whipped cream & caramel drizzle. Again, the drinks here are pretty good and unique so I'm sure anything off the menu is pretty good. There's some small tables for indoor seating and a small outdoor seating area as well. read more

Absolutely disgusted with the customer service or should I say lack there of that my sister and I endured this morning. It's no surprise that the wait time for this place is ALWAYS extensive. However, when you're not busy, I am confused as to why it took over twenty minutes for two food items. While waiting a long time in the drive thru, there was no follow up or apology for the inconvenience. We got the attention of one employee who was GOD AWFUL. This woman, with black curly hair, opened the window and rudely said "um do you have a question?" When asking if our sandwiches were ready, she proceeded to disrespectfully say "ugh, probably NOT." And quickly shut the window on us before we could respond. What type of response is that? What happened to common courtesy? There are so many more responses that would have sufficed, such as a simple "let me go check on that for you." "I'm sorry for the wait, I'll be right back to let you know how much longer." Etc. Yet, she couldn't even be respectful or give us a valid explanation. Since we had two screaming babies in the car, my sister decided to go into the store to continue to wait for our order. By much surprise, when asking to speak to management the lady interrupted and said "I'm the lead you can talk to me." She had no remorse for her behavior and took no ownership for her words. Instead, she told her she needed to leave, all while mumbling under her breath to other customers about me. I usually give this place the benefit of the doubt but today sealed the deal that we will not be returning. I ordered the "Straight A-Latte" and it was out of this world. Highly recommend anyone who reads this review try that one! My bagel was equally as delicious, but the veggie cream cheese was the real show stopper. Again, another recommendation try that cream cheese! The reason I gave 4 stars was because none of the employees were wearing masks or gloves pre covid times I would not have a problem with this but as we are still going through a pandemic masks and gloves are super important in the food and service industries. Probably the best specialty coffee I've had in the valley!! Beautiful and warming decor AAAAAAND the whole store was giving AUTUMN Staff was welcoming, definitely loved the energy of the person on register! Didn't catch their name but we appreciated the conversation and the help. We ordered a 16oz black dark roast drip, the Alma Mater, and the Honey&Pecan cream cheese bagel! We enjoyed everything! I'm such a big fan of specialty drip coffee, the dark roast was giving Ethiopian and muaaaaah chefs kiss. The Alma Mater was creamy and sweet and so caramel-y! It only comes ice I believe and regular milk but it hits the spot for something sweet, creamy, and a pick me up! The bagel itself was crunchy, yet soft(like me), delicious with the cream cheese! The honey pecan was subtle and sweet yet doesn't over power the cream. 5/5! There is a lot more I wanted to try here, like some specialty lattes and pastries! They have the besttttt lavender lemonade, I believe it's called like a Summer School Julep and the Black tea with lemonade (the librarian) is also amazing. I've been a few times now; tried a few good options and a couple different drinks.. but today I wanna give a shout out to one of their employees (I wish I caught his name) he has a little bit longer brown hair, glasses and such a gentle countenance. I was there about 1.5 hours (it was slow) While I was sitting at the table outside he came out to clean up and offered to get me a water, and even refilled my drink! What?! It wasn't the refill that made my day; it was his kindness and attention to detail. We have a lot of ugly in the world right now; and his kindness really made my day!
