Hubby and friend ordered OJ - really fresh ! Great coffee ! Trista took great care of us ! Super Friendly and fast service . We ordered Waffles w/ Scrambled eggs and Bacon . Fabulous waffle and plenty of syrup. Bacon cooked well and tasty eggs . Our friend ordered Corned Beef Hash w/ Eggs and tots . She said it was delicious. We went here for breakfast. It's a small diner. The server was friendly and fast. There is an abundance of food and it was quite good. We ordered the pecan banana caramel waffle, crunchy and sweet and the farmers omelette with sourdough toast, both delicious. They even make fresh jam. We will be back. read more

We stopped by after church on Sunday and sat in the booth for 10 minutes and no one helped us. They weren't very busy so I don't understand why the wait staff would walk by but not stop and take our order. We went to Country Skillets by Savemart and had excellent service and great food. read more

Just had breakfast here for the very last time. Today's special was a hamburger, cheese, mushroom and onion omelette. $17.99. From the first bite I knew this was a huge mistake. It tastes like whatever they cleaned the grill with, combined with the taste of plastic. Otherwise, no taste at all in the omelette. I doctored it up with ketchup (which I never put on my food) just to get a few bites down. The food used to be pretty good here, but not anymore. The servers are nice and I like them very much but they definitely need a better cook. read more

I had heard some good things about this place for breakfast (which by the way is one of my favorite meals) so we went there today to try it. This place did not disappoint- the staff was friendly and attentive. They have a nice selection of options. I ordered off the 55+ menu (a few less options but still several choices). We both ordered the Denver Omelette with Country Potatoes (which are thin sliced potatoes but very tasty). My wife had this served with their freshly made Biscuit served with butter and homemade jam (or gravy if you prefer). I tried a bite of her biscuit very good and fluffy. I had a pancake with mine. First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent. Food was very very good. The wife had eggs, bacon, and pancakes. All was good. I had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and a biscuit & gravy. Eggs were scrambled perfectly. Bacon was crisp as ordered, but a tad greasy (Hey, its bacon). Hash browns were cooked to well done as requested. But the STAR of the show was the biscuit & gravy. Huge biscuit, fluffy, and the gravy was really good. We both had coffee. The check was about $38, plus the 20% tip took me to over $46. Wasn't expecting much, especially with the dated garden look that was more tacky than cutesy. Went to breakfast on a Tuesday morning and the place was nearly filled with seniors. They have an under 10 or over 55 menu, the babes got the veggie soup and the grandparents got the classic breakfast. Veggie soup was homemade with lots of veggies in a thick red tomato soup. Pancakes were thick and fluffy. Last minute I switched from Eggs Benedict to the special with hash browns covered with chopped bacon, onions, homemade chili and cheese. It was soooo tasty and naughty. Chili is some of the best I've had. Told the server that I wished they would offer it Cincinnati style with spaghetti noodles instead of your choice of hash browns or tatter tots. For $10 it was a steal if a deal! My daughter and I found this cute cafe as we stumbled upon the hidden gem of a town in neighboring Ripon. This is one of the go to places for breakfast for the locals in Ripon. I have been going here for many years and the food has always been good. Every time I have walked in, I have been immediately greeted by a server and told I can seat myself at a table of my choosing. The servers here have always been on point with greeting us at the table, providing menus and getting drinks/coffee going. They are always good about coming around and topping off coffee. I would say the food quality is about what you would expect for a breakfast diner. My only negative about this place is the interior decor. This place has that vibe of having been around for many years and has a dated look. It really needs a full overhaul to bring a fresh updated look to it. For some reason, they are still running the Covid plexiglass dividers between booths which also just kind of brings the ambiance down. However, none of this would prevent me from visiting again. For me, it would be the difference in making this place a 5-star breakfast diner. read more

I had brunch with my family here as we were visiting my aunt, and like the other restaurants, it's very cute and quaint. The waitresses were very nice and attended to our needs. The food is very filling and delicious. I had the California omelette with hash browns and toast, and my gosh, it was FILLING. This is a good spot for catching up and getting a nice simple breakfast/lunch. This is the place for breakfast in Ripon! The atmosphere is friendly and clean. It has a family feel to it and the service is excellent. Everything I've had there I like. My go to is the slab o' ham. Soups are really good and the sandwiches are more like at home. Not super fancy, just really good. The prices have gone up, but where haven't they. I'm not usually someone that puts reviews but I'm very irritated!! I have been giving business to this restaurant for many years and never had a bad experience until I met the waitress Terri . The first time she waited on me I thought she had a very bad attitude and got past it but I went in today and ordered a dinner salad easy peasy right ? No it wasn't I looked at my salad and all I see is brown lettuce which I eat with my eyes like most people do . I tried to eat but just couldn't wasn't going to say anything to her as she probably was going to have an attitude . The bill came and it was $8dollars and some change so my friend said you need to say something !! So I said something to Rosie and she agreed it didn't look good :( so Terri of course had a attitude and said she would take $3 off which since I didn't eat but a couple bites of it I think I shouldn't have paid for it !!
