Came here on Veterans Day to get my free breakfast. The wait wasn't too long but it seemed as if they may have been understaffed a little. No matter the staffing, our waitress was great! I was sad to hear that Denny's changed from having the grand sandwich to pancakes, eggs, and sausage/bacon for the Veterans Deal. That was a downgrade. Ordered the country fried steak dinner with Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The 'steak' didn't taste like anything but salty, the country gravy was bland like you would get at a hospital and the mashed potatoes were so runny I had to use a spoon. I barely ate anything on the plate. The server asked how everything was and I told him it wasn't good and what was wrong with it. He said 'ok'. He took the plates from Mac and cheese and garlic bread but left the uneaten gross meal. I had to tell him to take it, like I was going to change my mind, he didn't offer any solution to me having a side and a half with bread and cheesecake for dinner! Rolled in at 9pm and was told the cook was on break for 20 minutes. WTF no back up no pulling the weight. When I worked in the kitchen there was no break. You were done when the last customer was done eating. I've been traveling on the road for all Southern California and this is the Only Denny's that so far gets the 5 stars, food is good and the place is Clean. The Manager Shaun is always active running helping the waitresses and serving food as well, compare to other Denny's I've been and where the Managers are Goofing and just seating ding nothing. Janette and Angelica are great waitresses here too. Is better to get food from this place than buying the snacks and drinks from the flying J next to it cause prices are expensive. read more

Stopped in here on the way back home from a long trip. I was hungry and I sat at the counter and ordered a moons over my hammy and a vanilla milkshake. The waitress was very helpful and the food came quickly and tasted just fine. I asked for the hash browns to be crispy and that's exactly the way I got them. The milkshake came with an extra metal container with extra Shake in it so I can refill my glass. That's a nice touch. The server came by a few times and asked me how everything was and if I needed anything else. It's a little bit cold outside tonight in the temperature in there could have been a tad warmer but it was still comfortable. Thank you for a good job.
