3/4 of a fresh Biscuit w/ homemade jam
Hugh M.

I had heard some good things about this place for breakfast (which by the way is one of my favorite meals) so we went there today to try it. This place did not disappoint- the staff was friendly and attentive. They have a nice selection of options. I ordered off the 55+ menu (a few less options but still several choices). We both ordered the Denver Omelette with Country Potatoes (which are thin sliced potatoes but very tasty). My wife had this served with their freshly made Biscuit served with butter and homemade jam (or gravy if you prefer). I tried a bite of her biscuit very good and fluffy. I had a pancake with mine. I included some pictures but I forgot to take the pictures when the meal was served, so the shot of my breakfast and biscuit are partially eaten.

Country Kitchen (just like my Nanas house on the ranch). This small place, in Ripon, is a neighborhood classic. Staff is always friendly and food is always fresh and hot (nice! Very, very nice). Today (as always) my fiancé and I had the Chile Verde Omelette with a side of eggs (for me). Come out. Fell like you just came over for breakfast or brunch and enjoy a quaint conversation with a good hearty meal. Tell them ,"that guy" sent you.

Chili Cheese with bacon over hash browns, seriously delicious stoner food!

Wasn't expecting much, especially with the dated garden look that was more tacky than cutesy. Went to breakfast on a Tuesday morning and the place was nearly filled with seniors. They have an under 10 or over 55 menu, the babes got the veggie soup and the grandparents got the classic breakfast. Veggie soup was homemade with lots of veggies in a thick red tomato soup. Pancakes were thick and fluffy. Last minute I switched from Eggs Benedict to the special with hash browns covered with chopped bacon, onions, homemade chili and cheese. It was soooo tasty and naughty. Chili is some of the best I've had. Told the server that I wished they would offer it Cincinnati style with spaghetti noodles instead of your choice of hash browns or tatter tots. For $10 it was a steal if a deal! Service was quick, friendly with several offers to top off our coffee.

I had brunch with my family here as we were visiting my aunt, and like the other restaurants, it's very cute and quaint. The waitresses were very nice and attended to our needs. The food is very filling and delicious. I had the California omelette with hash browns and toast, and my gosh, it was FILLING. This is a good spot for catching up and getting a nice simple breakfast/lunch. Only complaint I have is how some of the furniture is outdated, but aside from that, I love the quaint comfort of this place.

I've eaten here more than anywhere in Ripon because I don't like our restaurants in town but this place is so good and Anna is our favorite server she does such a great job I tried most of the breakfast menu and it's all good but I really like the farmers omelette and loco moco

Pecan Waffles for the win!

And again was told no. The granola does in fact have almond slivers in it luckily I am not so allergic I will die from it or need an epi pen I just usually break out in hives for a few hours and then I'm fine and typically it's more peanuts than other nuts anyway but working in a restaurant you really should be aware of what is in your foods that way someone doesn't have a bad reaction.

What a joke!!!! The "mediums" are basically smalls either 6oz or 8oz. My wife's "medium" was literally a shot, check out the pictures. Needless to say we will not be coming back @Sarah D- Thanks for the offer and reaching out, but your offer of complementary coffee will not persuade me to update my review. Furthermore when my wife brought this issue up to one of the baristas she gave some excuse (I didn't hear what she said) about this is how they are. This is a sunk cost for me and an object lesson for others. I can't help but think how many of the other 5 star reviews were in a similar situation and updated their review as they were offered free coffee.

The front half of the establishment (where the GPS directs you) is a market, while the back half is the coffee shop. But the whole building is connected. Parking for the coffee shop is located towards the back but it is very limited. Sundays are extremely busy here! The coffee & desserts are homemade and delicious! The coffee is from Yemen and every drink Ive tried so far has been amazing. The biscoff latte, Dulce de leche, brown sugar oat & peppermint bark! Looking online they don't regularly update their menu, so I snapped a recent picture of the menu for my fellow Yelpers! It appears they also have a changing seasonal menu for their coffees & desserts. All of their treats are homemade and very delicious! I highly recommend buying a treat to go with your drink. For the non-coffee drinkers, they offer matcha, matcha flights, lemonades, refreshers, teas, smoothies and energy drink mixers. The service is great! They are extremely fast serving drinks & food. The line might be long but you won't be waiting long. The lady at the cash register is usually the same person and she's very patient & kind! She'll explain any of the desserts for those wanting to try new things! The market & coffee shop always smell so delicious upon walking in. This place is truly a hidden gem everyone needs to experience! I read online they will be opening another location in Modesto soon!

There was a handful of people in line before me, all seeming to order some kind of latte or matcha. I was almost convinced but I always steer towards an Adeni Chai when at a Yemeni Cafe. I'd describe it as a black milk tea with spices. Make sure to ask for your preferred sweetness as it isn't sweetened by default. The Adeni Chai was served insanely hot but, I enjoyed it when it cooled down and it was great. I tried the Honeycomb Bread (warmed) and would more than likely skip next time. It was a bit more mushy than the other Honeycomb breads I've had in the past. There's a parking lot which is always convenient and there are seats inside if you want to enjoy your treats there. Keep in mind though, it is connected to a small store.

My favorite is the chorizo omelette with a side of strawberries. The omelette is flavorful without being greasy, and the strawberries are always fresh and delicious. There are a few restaurants that share the parking so there is very limited parking. We had to go around twice to find a parking spot. We had reservations and were sat promptly. They had live music playing in the background, which is nice. We couldn't see it so I didn't know where they were at. It is designed in a circular way where the bar is in the middle so you cannot see across. We were greeted by our server and he was very attentive. He gave us some great recommendations and he was very pleasant. We started with the fig bruschetta and that was a 10 out of 10. It had little bacon bits on top which added a layer of flavor. We also had the spinach and artichoke crab dip, which was 10 out of 10. We added extra crostinis which is recommended. For a drink, I had the Cosmo, which was nice and refreshing. I also had a taste of the Old Glory and that was a nice refreshing twist on the old-fashioned, which was recommended by our server. I had the Calabrian Chile Shrimp Scampi over pappardelle pasta and it was the 10 out of 10. The layers of flavor with the capers, lemon, bacon and spice was perfect! I tried a piece of the crusted halibut, which was very moist and flavorful as well as the salmon. All was great on flavor. For dessert we had the brownie with vanilla ice cream, which is a huge brownie. I would say it's good for four people. I also tried the apple pie cheesecake which was very good and the mixed berry crumble that tasted fresh. I ordered an espresso martini to try it and it looked a little messy on the glass. As for taste, I felt like the Vodka drowned out the espresso notes. 6/10 As mentioned, our server was very friendly and attentive however he did fail to bring ice water when requested, but overall great experience .

The staff was really nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The inside has a modern feel to it very clean, stylish, and just a really comfortable space to hang out. What I loved most was the overall energy of the place it felt like a great mix of cozy and lively at the same time. Perfect for winding down, catching up, and just enjoying the moment.
