Meat omelette
Maria R.

My hubby and I stopped by for some café and brunch. The location is chill and inviting. The ambiance and aesthetics are welcoming and invite you to take your time to enjoy the food and vibes. My hubby had the meat lovers omelette and I had the enchiladas Verde de Pollo. We both enjoyed our food. It was full of flavor, served hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and all the customers were enjoying their visit as we could hear laughter and see smiles. It was a pleasure to spend time there.

Easily a 10/10 experience! Food was fire, ambience was nice and homey, service was great. Food came out promptly, concha was fresh and soft, drink was a delicious and strong! Chilaquiles were good, wish they were a little spicer, but really good!! Smashed black beans had a lil kick to them. Definitely my fav food spot in Manteca thus far.

Typical spot that I'm on the fence about between a 3 and a 4. The first time I came I was underwhelmed by the flavored coffee drinks. The drinks lacked the taste of their flavors as well as the actual coffee flavor. I came back another time and it was a little better but still was a tad lacking. What I did enjoy were their little cup desserts, I think the one I got was a strawberry tres leches. The interior is clean with nice tables and seating. The baked/sweets offerings are all on display right in front where you order as well. They have never been super busy on the days that I've visited. They are about average speed when it comes to getting the drinks out. I really hope I can give them a 4 in the future but I'll have to go with 3 for now.

Really cute place! There are outlets under the bench seating so it will be a perfect place to come grab some caffeine and get some work done (not during brunch hours of course). I grabbed a 3 cheese grilled cheese and cafe en las rocas (decaf) for a quick dinner. The girl working was sweet and seemed to enjoy the space outside of work as well based on our convo. The sandwich came with a sauce that I'm not quite sure what it was, but it had a nice horseradish type kick to it that I liked! I'll definitely be back to check out the brunch menu.

First time enjoying this place. Wanted to come but had been unable to. Today I had concha de corazón and a Spanish Latte (condensed milk). We tried the cafe de Olla and an almond croissant. They have a whole menu that I want to try but for today... just a snack!!! Ha ha The inside is beautiful, the paintings, the chairs, the tables.. the bright colors and Mexican theme. Staff that took our order was very nice.

I love this place...it can get pricey but everything was delicious and the atmosphere here just makes me smile with a the colors. I have been wanting to get a drink with a design on it and to custom with your own photo wow. I chose hello kitty which they already had. We ate and drank everything. For a rainy Monday holiday, there were a few customers already there when we came in the early evening, just missing the brunch hour we saw at the order counter, that ended at 3p. I'm not clear if it's an everyday menu that ends at 3 though I will definitely be back again for the selfie drinks

Driving down I5 I was looking for my morning coffee to help me on my drive. I found this cafe and saw Horchata Latte, I was sold. It was early morning so it was not as busy but some people enjoying their breakfast. The vibe was chill and fresh. Upon entering they had lots of pan dulce and desserts to chose from including a huge concha (I was tempted to get that). I went with the iced Horchata Latte and a small concha. My gf got an iced Chai latte and a puerquito pan. The drinks were 10/10, coffee came through on the horchata latte and it was perfect amount of sweetness. The pan dulce was great! Never had we had a puerquito that was so soft and fresh. Employee's were nice and apologized for the wait even though we did not wait that long. I inside is spacious, great location to work or hang out. If we lived in the area we would definitely return, sadly we live in San Diego.

dulce de leche latte

I ordered the large dulce de leche latte with cold foam, which came out to $9.85. The drink was decent, but it leaned more toward milk and syrup than coffee, with very little coffee flavor coming through. For a latte at that price point, I expected at least a bit more balance and a stronger coffee presence. If you were someone that likes their drinks really sweet with just a hint of coffee then I think this is perfect for you! Service was fast and everybody was really sweet. The interior of the place is extremely aesthetic.

This place is cute and very grammable! Also a cute place for brunch or a girls date. They have a full brunch menu until 3pm then limited onwards with mostly small plates/coffee. We went in for brunch and the place was super packed, you order at the counter and pray you find a table with your table number. They recommend getting stuff to go at check out in case you don't find a seat- The place is pretty traditional in the Mexican style brunch and coffee, I didn't even know what some items were, but you knew it was good because a lot of Hispanic people were majority of the clientele. I heard that's a good secret to knowing if a place is authentic an tasty. I think this place being new can use some more staff to support the time it takes to process orders, clean tables, help guests with basic needs. Our food took quite a while to come out, I'd say 30 mins or slightly more. (With a cafe style set up, that's a long time.) I would say the food was 3 or 4 out of 5. Def think it's worth a visit, specially if you like things more authentic.

The hype is real yall. I loveeeee a good coffee spot and this has been my go to since they opened. I'm beyond ecstatic to have places like these pop up in the 209. I've gotten the cafe de olla, matcha, champurrado and my fave- brown sugar shaken espresso. All very yummy!! The thing that sets this location apart from the others is the food. They actually sell full on plates and I can honestly say I've never had a better chilaquiles. My mouth is watering just thinking about all the yumminess! There's usually a line out the door, even at 9 am in Manteca. But it's worth the wait and it usually goes by fast. There's an ample amount of seating, but kinda hard to snatch on a busy day since they sell full plates of food. The staff is always welcoming and attentive! Very clean as well.

Mexican Mocha hot

Had the day off on a Wednesday, so I decided to revisit Con Azúcar thinking it wouldn't be busy . It still was !! They must be doing something right !! Luckily this time around I did find a spot to sit . I ordered a grilled cheese and a Mexican mocha (hot). Both were absolutely delicious.

Mini Conchas

Today my family and I visited Con Azúcar for brunch, and it was a great experience from start to finish. You can enter through either the front or back door; we came in from the back and walked over to the ordering counter on the other side. Their brunch menu runs until 3 PM, so we were able to take advantage of it. We ordered pancakes with eggs, chilaquiles, and the Mexican burrito. Every plate was generously portioned, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. For drinks, we enjoyed horchatas and a Jarrito, which paired perfectly with the food. Although the place was packed, as soon as a table opened up I was able to grab one for my family of three. Before leaving, we picked up some mini conchas to go--they were too tempting to pass up! The entire establishment has a vibrant and well-designed atmosphere, with cool murals and photo-worthy spots throughout. The staff was friendly, attentive, and checked in to see if we needed anything more. Overall, delicious food, great service, and a fun environment. We would definitely come back again!

Came into Con Azúcar for the first time! I have been wanting to try here and finally did. You are welcomed very vibrant colors and culture it's so beautiful in here! There are a variety of food and drinks options. Cakes, pan dulces, desserts, and savory options. It was morning time we opted for some pan dulce and coffee. The sugar oat espresso with cinnamon was sooo yummy! The pan dulce was a bit dry and I was suprimes by this since it was first thing in the morning. Also picked up a piña Fresca very delicious! Can't wait to go back and try the savory options.

I've heard so much about this place from locals and online! This place is quite unique and very…read morespecial. The front half of the establishment (where the GPS directs you) is a market, while the back half is the coffee shop. But the whole building is connected. Parking for the coffee shop is located towards the back but it is very limited. Sundays are extremely busy here! The coffee & desserts are homemade and delicious! The coffee is from Yemen and every drink Ive tried so far has been amazing. The biscoff latte, Dulce de leche, brown sugar oat & peppermint bark! Looking online they don't regularly update their menu, so I snapped a recent picture of the menu for my fellow Yelpers! It appears they also have a changing seasonal menu for their coffees & desserts. All of their treats are homemade and very delicious! I highly recommend buying a treat to go with your drink. For the non-coffee drinkers, they offer matcha, matcha flights, lemonades, refreshers, teas, smoothies and energy drink mixers. The service is great! They are extremely fast serving drinks & food. The line might be long but you won't be waiting long. The lady at the cash register is usually the same person and she's very patient & kind! She'll explain any of the desserts for those wanting to try new things! The market & coffee shop always smell so delicious upon walking in. This place is truly a hidden gem everyone needs to experience! I read online they will be opening another location in Modesto soon!

There was a handful of people in line before me, all seeming to order some kind of latte or matcha. I was almost convinced but I always steer towards an Adeni Chai when at a Yemeni Cafe. I'd describe it as a black milk tea with spices. Make sure to ask for your preferred sweetness as it isn't sweetened by default. The Adeni Chai was served insanely hot but, I enjoyed it when it cooled down and it was great. I tried the Honeycomb Bread (warmed) and would more than likely skip next time. It was a bit more mushy than the other Honeycomb breads I've had in the past. There's a parking lot which is always convenient and there are seats inside if you want to enjoy your treats there. Keep in mind though, it is connected to a small store.

I ordered a custom heart shaped cake and was very clear about what I wanted: whipped cream frosting…read moreon the outside and chocolate ganache filling with caramel and pecans on the inside. I even told them I don't like buttercream because it's too sweet and that I didn't want it anywhere on this cake. When I placed the order, they asked if they could add a little buttercream to the outside for texture. I said okay, but only a tiny bit mixed with the whipped cream. What showed up was all buttercream on the outside with zero whipped cream. When I asked about it, they told me it was whipped cream. I know what I'm tasting, and so did my guests. It was definitely buttercream. The inside was even worse. There was some ganache but barely any. The further we cut into the cake, the more buttercream we found. I did not want buttercream inside the cake at all. I barely agreed to a little on the outside and they didn't even respect that. The photos show it clearly. The further we cut, the messier and more uneven it got with just buttercream and buttercream. One slice had a thin layer of ganache with barely any pecans or caramel. Everything else was buttercream. I picked this bakery because I had a good experience with them the first time. The design looked nice, but the cake itself was really disappointing. Way too sweet from all that buttercream I specifically said I didn't want. I gave them detailed feedback with photos. Instead of owning up to it, the decorator got defensive. He said he used buttercream as glue to hold the cake together. But that doesn't make sense. If ganache worked fine as glue on my first order with them (which had no buttercream inside at all), why couldn't he do the same thing this time? He just chose to use a lot of buttercream instead of actually following what I asked for. I even sent more photos pointing out exactly where the problem was. But they still insisted it was whipped cream. My guests noticed it too. So are they lying? Management offered me a 10% discount on my next order. That doesn't help. I paid for a cake that didn't meet what I asked for and it ruined my event. I asked for a 50% refund which seemed fair. They read the message but never answered. Just complete silence. If a bakery is going to charge premium prices for custom cakes, you need to actually follow what the customer asks for. I was crystal clear about what I wanted. That's literally the whole point of a custom order. They like to ignore customers when there's an issue. I was ignored at first, then only responded after I pointed out how unprofessional they were handling things. That's when they offered the 10% discount. But the moment I asked for a fair 50% refund, they ghosted me completely. No response, nothing. That says everything you need to know about how they treat customers who have legitimate concerns.
