The prices are high but the quality of the food is mid. I ordered an iced horchata latte that didn't really have the horchata or coffee taste, it wasn't terrible but it just tasted like cinnamon. I also ordered an avocado toast with egg to go but by the time I got home the avocado had already browned and I only live 5 mins away. I arrived at about 11 in the morning on a Friday. The cashier was nice at explaining the menu a bit as I let her know it was my first time here. I asked her if we wait to be seated and she said it's first come first serve. All of the tables were full ( the restaurant is very small) so I waited until there was one available. The wait was about 10 minutes or so. I ordered the Chilaquiles with chorizo and the torta with chilaquiles. Let me just tell you that the chorizo tasted VERY American / inauthentic and I was worried that it was going to give me heartburn. You can't really mess up beans so the beans tasted fine. The scrambled egg was good and to be honest the best thing on the plate - the potatoes. The presentation was nice however that doesn't really matter if the plate does not taste good. The torta was definitely better. Not over seasoned white a lot of food for one entrée it can definitely be shared amongst two people. The physical menu itself is nice wasn't dirty- There's a nice explanation of everything. However, what was a bit frustrating is that the nice selection of drinks, hot and cold that they have is not listed. I ordered a horchata matcha which was really good as It was not too sweet. I have heard from other people that have come here that the drinks are really good so I'm going to bet on the fact that their strong suit is their drinks. When I ordered the drinks, she did not let me know that they would be on the other side so I was sitting at my table and I ended up asking a cook that was delivering plates and he explained to me that they would be on the other side. Upon entering there was appropriately loud music playing, which was nice and added to the ambience and the aesthetic. However , about 30 minutes in and the music completely stopped. My overall opinion is that aesthetically it's a really cute place to come and hang out for a bit with family or friends and get a cute pic by the swing. If you are looking for a great meal with great ambience, I would not suggest this place. I could have made this made at home 10 times better and I would have been playing my music the entire time lol This place feels extremely overpriced and I think that they feel they can charge that because it is aesthetically pleasing and there is not many places if any like this in Manteca. Would I come back? Yes for a fun, hot or cold drink or a refresher but I definitely would not come back for the food. The table was wobbly, and that just shows the lack of care because you know that when they are cleaning, they are aware of that but yet they do not fix it . The girl who took our order provided excellent customer service; we really appreciated her positive attitude and welcoming energy (she had blondish hair/highlights). The food was good as well. However, the rest of the staff should work on improving their customer service. Many of them appeared noticeably unhappy or uninterested in being there, which affected the overall experience. The prices are extremely high, and had I known we would be treated this way, I would not have tipped or possibly even ordered. When we asked about missing items, the barista preparing the coffees seemed annoyed, as if the issue were our fault. I really like the lattes here. We've had brunch here also and the food is really good. My wife ordered the chilaquiles and it was delicious! On the weekends it can get busy so make sure you are ready to wait. The prices are a little high these days but they do have a great rewards system. read more

Service is bad. But understand this is a cafe not a restaurant with waitresses. You order food and drink right when you walk in so be prepared for a line. We ordered a blt, huevos divorcionados, jr French toast and 2 espressos The blt came out first, was basic I think it was 12$. Not worth it. The heuevos divorcionados came next, kinda bland and comes with watery gross beans. They were cold, nothing crispy, nothing special. Jr French toast came out after, was literally white bread with a couple berries thrown on the plate. Lastly, after 40 mins when we first ordered, and after all the food came out, the coffee was called. I actually had to get up to ask about to the coffees. Coffee was good strong flavorful, at this point I was so underwhelmed and annoyed I didn't care. I know they're new but whole experience felt unorganized. Food was okay but not worth 68$. Cafe Aroma is right across the street for 1/3 the price for a coffee and a big breakfast sandwich. The dining part also disappointing Just loud ass music, a lil dirty, and flies everywhere. The huevos and French toast both had hair in them First hair I was like ok Then there was a hair at the bottom of the French toast that sent me over the edge. New restaurant get it together? That's hella not okay. Whole experience was rough wouldn't spend a dime here again. COCKROACH I was really excited to try this new café since everyone's been talking about it, but honestly, I left disgusted. Seating is first come, first served, and we waited about 30 minutes for a table. Once we sat down, the food came out pretty fast -- but that's probably because it didn't have flavor. I ordered an omelet that came with beans and breakfast potatoes. The beans were super watery, and the omelet tasted like it had been diluted with way too much milk. My friend got the creamy chipotle chilaquiles ($13), added carne asada for $7, avocado for $3, and even got charged $1 for requesting her eggs over medium -- almost $24 total. She said it wasn't anything special. I got an iced Mazapán coffee which was good not too sweet and not too bitter but again nothing special. 1 thing I will say all the employees were very nice. The real problem was how many flies were inside. But the worst part was when my friend noticed a cockroach fall on my chest after we finished eating. I flicked it off, and it landed on our table. There were also a few small bugs flying around and even a spider on my friend. For a brand new restaurant, that's just not acceptable. read more

The food is good, but customer service needs improvement. This was our first time visiting, and the process was not clearly explained. When we arrived, an employee welcomed us and started cleaning a table, so we assumed we were supposed to sit and wait. No one told us we needed to get in line to order. As the place became busy, we noticed a long line had formed. When we asked the employee, she told us we needed to stand in line--even though we arrived before at least 10 other groups. We explained it was our first visit, and while it wasn't a big issue, clearer guidance would have helped. I recommend either having a sign explaining the ordering process or having employees clearly tell first-time customers how it works. Also, it would be helpful to display the full menu on the screens. We noticed additional menu items only after we had already ordered. Overall, the food is good, but better communication and training would improve the experience. How Ridiculous - paid customers that order in now has to take their food to go because three tables were reserved - me and my family were standing as well. We happen to grab a seat when a table came available, we were served and ate and when we left the three tables were still empty with a reserved sign on them. Owners / management are not managing the shop - customers ordering dine-in and not having a place for them to sit due and have three tables reserved for over 45 min - to an hour while customers are standing. One customer asked if they could sit at the reserved tables and they would leave when the party arrived - the employee responded they could not do that, the employee also stated they did not know when the people that reserved the table would be arriving. That is a great way to loose business - maybe the owners should take a page out of other well established busy restaurants- I have never been able to make a reservation without a time and or parameters regarding time limits on reservations Would recommend the sweet bread / pastries as long as you have time to spare , because it's takes longer than it should to order Would not recommend the breakfast. Plate presentation is well done, the food presentation does not match the taste not worth the money Coffee is good but not worth the wait and regardless if you tell them you would like your drink HOT they serve it a bit past warm - I think the quality is suffering due to staff that cannot keep up with the crowd so they cut corners to get drinks out and quality is suffering. When they first opened I could understand the wait , new staff etc , but the drinks were hot and the quality was very good - that went to the waist side Over all I will not be back anytime soon, the wait is unnecessarily long, staff at register not very friendly nor look happy, and owners allowing food to be sold to customers for sit-down dinning with no place to sit is ridiculous.
