It's been a minute since we've been to Thai Kitchen. We were living in Stockton and this was our spot for Thai from 2014 - 2016. We were in town for wine tasting and hadn't had Thai food in a while, so we decided to stop by. What can I say...? Same great iced Thai coffee, deliciously fresh spring rolls, and the green curry couldn't have been better. We didn't see too many veggie dishes on the menu, yet at my wife's request, the kitchen made her fresh green beans in a garlic sauce. Thats right - fresh crisp green beans with plenty of "crunch" in a velvety garlic sauce. The prices are very reasonable considering today's crazy economy and we took food home! This is a family run business and the care and attention to customers is worth giving Thai Kitchen your support. We understand that they will be moving soon (just two storefronts away from the current location) and will have more room for more clientele. Judy and Sonny are very welcoming and personable. Spring roll, best thing I had 9/10 BBQ pork with rice: 7/10 I can not recall the last item that we had, but it was a ground meat with herbs and was kinda spicy but manageable. That was really good as well 9/10 The service was nice, very helpful, and attentive My experience was good. I went here on a Thursday for dinner with my best friend. Service started off kind of rough. We stood at the doorway for about 5-10 mins before being acknowledged. We sat down and the waiter was friendly and attended to us. We ordered the yellow curry spicy, and pad Thai spicy. Both of our dishes were chicken. But there are other protein options. The restaurant is small with about 6 tables and chairs. The walls were filled with art, but also menu pictures taped to it. Overall the food was good and the service got better. Very small place but we were the only ones there for majority of our meal so it was fine. The service is so friendly and they make you feel like family. The food is amazing! Such great flavor and textures. I had chicken pad se ew and the veggies were cooked just right, the noodles were chewy and the flavor was perfect. I will definitely be back. They seem to do quiet a bit of takeout because it is so small so I might try that next time. Food is AMAZING! We went in for lunch and had the chicken garlic noodles & the Pad prik khing (spicy chicken with rice), it has some spice but enough to where it's not too spicy! I topped it off with some chili oil and both were delicious! The servings are enough to share with another person. The service was good and we were seated quickly, the server was very happy and friendly. This place can get bypassed easily by people because it's pretty small so seating can be a little tight and busy during lunch rush or dinner, but I wouldn't pass on it! Highly recommend! read more

I don't normally eat in Lodi, but was passing through and this place had better reviews than most places in the area. Definitely a cozier place that has almost at at-home feel for me. We were there a little earlier than prime dinner time on a Friday, so not busy at all and were able to sit down right away. The two people working the floor were pretty friendly and quick to serve us. The food came within what felt like 10 -15 minutes. The spring rolls were stuffed with a good amount of veggies, with thinner noodles than I'm used to, so the rolls were pretty dense. There was also an option to have chicken as the protein, which I don't see at all when I eat at other Thai establishments, but that ended up making the rolls a little drier than my liking. The sweet and sour sauce that came with it did help temper that quite a bit though, especially since I'm more used to getting a thicker peanut sauce with my rolls. I ordered the priew-wan because all the veggies listed sounded appealing after a week of heavy Thanksgiving food. When it came it was definitely heavy on the sweet and sour sauce. While very delicious, I did my best to left the sauce run off first before eating it with my side of rice. I wasn't planning on getting any dessert , but one of the servers did a decent job convincing me. How can I turn down a mango sticky rice at a Thai restaurant? While I don't necessarily believe there is only one way to make this dish, I was very happy to see it come out in a more standardized fashion. No other colors in the rice and a nice shareable portion of mango. Also, the rice was nice and warm, which gave a good contrast to the cold mango. I had a great experience at Thai Kitchen last night. I had been craving Thai and was recommended here. It is a small hole in the wall esque place. Service was friendly and welcoming as soon as we came in. I ordered the drunken noodles with sticky rice which was so flavorful, I didn't even need to add any spices like I typically do. They suggested we try the Thai tea creme brûlée which is an item they are considering adding! I really hope that they do. I haven't really had a lot of Thai food or found much that I like but we tried this place on a whim and turns out I do in fact like pad Thai, I also tried their Num-Tok which I already knew I liked from my house holds personal recipe but the Num-Tok here was a different take on it, a lot of tamarind powder for my personal taste but still yummy. The basil fried rice was interesting, not bad but I wouldn't seek it out but that is just my palette talking not a quality issue. The mango sticky rice is obligatory and was yummy as well. Overall the price for the whole meal wasn't bad either for the portions and including tip, would definitely come back. Like most places, personally I'd probably bring my personal water bottle because the refills are never fast enough haha and it doesn't seem like they run AC or at least not yet in the season so it was hotter inside the restaurant than outside which was not a pleasant experience when trying to eat. This is a good hole in the wall Thai Restaurant, however not great, but not bad. My wife loves Thai food and I only like certain dishes. Great for take out. We ate there in the restaurant and it was pretty hot inside. The staff were not very friendly, just like going through the motions, but not rude. Not a bad place, we order from here from time to time, but not the top of the list for, ambience or experience. Food on a scale of 1-10 is a solid 9! My Mom really loved this restaurant. When she recently passed away, there was no other place we wanted to have cater in my Mom's honor, and we're so glad we did. The owner Lee, waitress Phon, the cooks, and the other staff members went above and beyond. As extra, and without any request to do so, they upgraded our tray of mango sticky rice dessert (my Mom's favorite) from small to large, cut a tray of watermelon, fried 40 extra pieces of chicken wings, and made a tray of delicious crab rangoon. Everything was so delicious, including the large tray of pad thai and eggrolls we ordered. The sauces they made were also on point, and they even roasted & grinded peanuts as garnish on the side. Our guests really enjoyed everything. Authentic, flavorful, and fresh. We highly recommend Thai Kitchen to anyone and everyone needing catering services. They were also very accommodating in letting me pick up all of the food early, before they even opened. I'm so grateful for them. For those of you who haven't tried this restaurant, you need to. 5 Star for Service. They were friendly and fast for service. 4 star for food. The pho wasn't that great. The broth wasn't what I expected. I expected more of an aromatic herb taste. This is a great little Thai restaurant hidden away in downtown Lodi. I placed an order for pick up and I got their Pork Garlic Noodles. The restaurant is very small and can only seat like about 15 people. The employee was really nice and friendly. The food was delicious. It had just the right amount of seasoning and it was kept nice and hot with the foil that they use in the to go containers. Called in an order and customer service was nice over the phone. This place is a small hole in a wall. Pad thai was very bland like everyone was saying I was hoping it had more flavor with hot chilli oil but no the tofu was hard, cold tasted horrible. The pad see ewe was probably the favorite from my family the medium spicy is spicy the portion is very small for about 12.95 or 15.95 can't remember. The basil fried rice was mainly veggies the ratio to rice was more veggies. The yellow curry was good but not spicy which I thought I ordered medium spicy. Be aware they charge a 3.99 % on all cards even debit cards which is ridiculous since it's just like cash. These restaurants are starting to charge us there card fees. Located in the old town area of Lodi, around the corner from the main drag. It can be a bit sketchy at night. Tiny dining space and friendly staff. We weren't terribly excited about the food here. Following exceptional wine tasting experiences at Michael-David Winery and Fields Family Wines (please read my reviews for both if you're interested), our party decided that we should put some food in our stomach's before parting ways. Since we are a pretty like-minded group, we were able to quickly settle on a restaurant called Thai Kitchen. If you have read any of my past reviews for Thai restaurants, you probably are aware that my wife and I have been to Thailand (I promise you that I'm not bragging or trying to "flex"-as the young kids say). I say that because after having Thai food in Thailand, the bar is set REALLY high for any Thai restaurant that we visit here in the states. When we walked into the establishment, we were immediately greeted by a friendly employee who sat us and provided menus. At quick glance, the restaurant is really cozy and looks like it has not been updated in years (respectfully). In addition, the menu that our server provided us with was tattered and had pieces of paper taped over menu options that I assume they no longer offer. After reading this, you're probably saying, "well dang Raheem, why are you being so critical? Isn't it about the quality of the food? The quality of the food...the best word that comes to mind would be savory. The egg rolls from the appetizer menu were extremely hot when they were delivered and did not need the sauce to be appetizing. The entrée-extra spicy (per my request) Kea Mao Beef was so damn delicious that I was disappointed when I looked down and realized that I only had one bite remaining. Speaking for our entire party, you know that the food is good when there is very little conversation (which is not normal because we all have good chemistry). My wise little wife is always telling me that if you solely base your decisions on aesthetics, you will miss out on so many good things in life. I am so thankful that I did not let the aesthetics of this establishment (please note that the restaurant is sanitary) discourage me from placing an order. All the dishes we had were really, really good. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, BBQ pork and garlic noodles. The food was sooo good that we stayed for a long time, finishing almost everything. The pineapple fried rice was fragrant, and had a subtle salty sweet balance. The BBQ pork was nicely marinated and then grilled with yummy slightly charred edges and a homemade vinegar based sweet sauce that cut the richness of the pork. The garlic noodles had a great texture and satisfying chew. We ate so much and even ordered the mango sticky rice dessert. The mango was perfectly ripe with an amazing scent, the sticky rice steamed in bamboo to perfection, and drizzled with just enough coconut milk. It really pains me to put this review. This isn't a dine in review as I always had good service. I made a catering order via phone. The phone was passed around several times. Finally they got it down. A few days later, when I came in to pick up, I was told I did not confirm. I confirmed with three different people. I was the unable to pick up my order of two trays. They did not have my order. I then had to wait much longer to pick up. This really soured my experience. read more
