HOW does this place even have over 4 stars. This place is the worst dumpling place I've ever been to. I've been to other dumpling restaurants in Stockton, Lodi, SF, Walnut Creek, San Jose, etc and this is hands down THE worst. I ordered the chicken shumai, deep fried chicken/pork gyoza, house special pork soup filled dumplings and vegan baos. The chicken shumai lacked flavor, was super lumpy and way too fishy from old shrimp. The deep fried gyoza was flavorless, was it even with meat? The pork soup dumplings were the most disappointing of all: pork balls with no seasoning or garlic or onions and the soup was full of disgusting fat skim type white lumps and tasted like dirty water. Smelled like dog food ngl. The vegan baos were ok. Service from the non-Asian gentleman at the register was excellent and he tried helping us select menu items and explain the ingredients since the menu did not list details about any of the dishes. There are no good vegetarian dishes here. There's only bok choy, string beans, garlic noodles (no veggies), scallion pancakes (just onion and no veggies) and scallion oil noodles (no veggies). I ended up giving the pork soup dumplings to the dogs and even they rejected them. Couldn't force myself to eat more than the gyozas and even that was difficult. It seems that this restaurant has changed to the new owner. This new owner is a Chinese lady. Me and my friend came in on Sunday on August 30 2026 at about 5 PM, we ordered the seafoods fried rice ($15.95), cucumber salad ($6.95), chicken taco spring roll ($9.95) and two cup of hot green tea ($3.5). They brought out the wrong dish and the owner lady later came and asked us in Chinese to replace the dish for us and my friend agreed. As I came to pay the bill at the counter, the owner jack the price up a few dollar for each dishes and I ended paying with taxes $46 + for three dishes. To all the customer, when you come to pay your bill at the counter, make sure you check the price on the menu and the price display on the counter to make it matches. The owner might add $1 or $2 dollar for each dishes. You can bring your phone and open your calculator and actually punch in the number for each dish to make sure it adds up correctly. To the Chinese lady owner who ran the business. In business, you need to be honest with your customers or else your business will close down very soon like a flip of your palm . Don't ever steal your customer even a penny. If you or your employee make mistake, accept it and fix it. I hope the owner remembers us. Came for lunch & order 2 items: Shrimp & pork soup dumpling - did not like the flavor. Very stingy w/ the meat and the shrimp doesn't look like it belongs there since it doesn't stick to the meat. Overall I thought it was OK. Nothing special, nothing bad... The beef roll was a little low on meat but flavor was cool. The noodles were pretty thick and heavy. The pan fried dumplings were cooked well. I did think the cucumber salad was a little bland. This is just me. My friends on the other hand enjoy the cucumber salad and noodles. The big down side is that 2 of my friends got upset stomachs and diarrhea from there. So is 3 a little too high? I at best can give them a 2. Unfortunately it might not be worth the risk of giving them a 2nd chance. Service was a little lacking too. They gave us 3 sets of utensils, etc as well which is fine because I came after my friends. The food was off. The flavors missed significantly. The beef rolls rely too much on oyster sauce and lacked balance. The sheng jian bao had raw dough on top, wasn't fried well on the bottom, and the "soup" inside was artificially flavored and lacked richness and depth. The Shanghai noodles were udon based? I've never experienced this before. The chili oil wanton were watered down where the chili oil couldn't stick to the wanton, which meant a lack of care to detail. The green pancake was fine. I've visited this place three times, and the first two times, it was so busy we couldn't even find a seat. This time, we got lucky and found the last seat available. It's not a place to rush; expect to wait for your food, but it's worth it because it's hot when served. Also they only had one server taking everyone orders and bussing tables, she was working very hard. We ordered fried chicken wings, dumplings, beef soup, and a beef wrap. I didn't like the beef wrap much because it had too little meat and was too fatty. The chicken wings and soup were good, but the boiled egg in the soup was overcooked. The dumplings were tasty but really hot, just like the menu warned! This is a place I would call a hole in the wall. It's very tight the food is good, but it's not a first date place. The first time I stopped here, I ordered their House Special Beef Roll and a jasmine green tea and I thought it was pricy because it was well over $20 but when it came out, I realized how much I was getting for my money. The prices are totally reasonable here for what you get. I was also blown away by the preparation and flavor of the dish. As someone who has made scallion pancakes at home, I know you have to put in the time to get delicious layers like the ones on the food served here. The scallion wrap was crispy and fluffy and absolutely delicious! The sauce on the beef was really good too and I loved all the fresh cilantro. I wanted more because it tasted so good but I was just too full and that is a great sensation. Deep Fried Shrimp Balls: Tasty shrimp filling with just the right amount of coating. 2. House Special Sausage Fried Rice: meal on its own! The Chinese sausage really makes this dish pop.  3. Ordered the jjajang noodles (black bean noodles, but this is Chinese style and not Korean!), house special pork soup dumplings, and the pork shumai. Everything was just okay. None of the items had anything special to them but none of them were bad either. I've just had better! The jjajang noodles were cooked al dente, had a nice chew to it and the sauce was slightly savory. I wish that there was more minced pork in the sauce but that's just a personal preference. Came with an ample amount of shredded cucumber which I appreciated. The chili oil that they offer on the table needs to be spicier though! The house special soup dumplings were delicious! No notes, I highly recommend everyone get these. The temperature inside was just right, not burn your mouth hot but just hot enough to still feel that epic satisfaction in your chest like a warm hug. The soup was savory and the minced pork inside was juicy. The pork shumai was nothing special. You could tell they were frozen and they just steamed them, definitely do not think these are made in house. This is my favorite item to get at dim sum, and I didn't care for these. You're better off going to the asian grocery store and buying yourself a pack of 12 for way cheaper than these 4 for $9! However, if you're too lazy to do that then these shumai will satisfy your craving. Service was exceptional! Though I am sad to see the previous food joint that closed up, I am glad this is what replaced this. Came during lunch time and it wasn't busy and got a table right away. Browsed the menu a bit and asked for a recommendation from our server to see which ones she'll suggest. Their servings were good enough to share within your table, family style. The beef roll were so flaky and savory. Filled with meat that it falls off in every bite. Soup dumplings came in hot and steamy, burn your mouth goodness. Pork filling was steamed and seasoned perfectly. The sausage in the fried rice was salty and sweet that it balanced the oiliness and sweetness when combined with the rice. Honey walnut shrimps batter was still crunchy and the mayo/honey coating made it a balanced pair. It also has actual walnuts in them that some other place does not have. Service was fast and great, our server made recommendations when we ordered the potstickers and dumplings because we were ordering to many things that were basically the same. The soup dumplings were fresh and warm and just so good! If you look at the pictures you can see the steam coming off the food, I love the food severed hot like that. The tan tan noodles were also Amazing, they had great flavor, but I was a little sad there wasn't any broth. The outward appearance is unassuming. On their outer window there is a picture of their 2024 rating showing that they placed 3rd for best Chinese restaurant in the Top 100 in all of the U.S.A. Let me tell you I believe it. The service was outstanding. Kind and courteous. Very attentive to our needs. We never felt overly pestered or left alone too long. Perfect balance. The food was spectacular. I have tried soup dumplings, crab rangoon (they call it cheese rangoon), bao buns, and Sezchuan style wontons in several states and these were the best by far. I almost forgot to take pictures until we were almost done. They brought their family recipes from Shanghai if I am remembering correctly according to our server.
