Buffet style Chinese food for a meeting.
    Nicole S.

We ordered the hot and spicy chicken, broccoli, beef, fried rice, pork chow mein, lemon chicken, & mixed vegetables. They always give ample portions and we got buffet style portions this time. The food is flavored well. They always give large portions, the lemon chicken is coated perfectly with a real authentic lemon flavor. I felt the spicy chicken was not too hot and flavorful also. The service is always very prompt and friendly. It is most of a to go type order place with I think some chairs inside to sit down after you order & wait but no inside tables. You could get food and sit outside in the patio area, which is covered. Great location and plenty of parking in the Marina Business center. I've been going to this place for years. It is a little greasy sometimes, comfort food, but it's very tasty and very affordable.

Fried rice, black bean chicken, and kung pao chicken.

This is my first time here! They were so nice and also the service is so fast. I'm coming back the next time I'm in town. The food was amazing. Great flavors.

Side of Crab Rangoon (8) and chose eggrolls instead of soda with an order of the combo plate
    Tiffany T.

Ordered 2 Combination Plates with 2 proteins and a side of crab rangoons (8) for $23 total. So cheap! They asked if I wanted soda with my combo plates or eggrolls instead, so they gave me 2 eggrolls for each plate I bought. The orange chicken and general chicken are good here! Tender, moist and not too sweet. The teriyaki chicken was alright, I wouldn't get it again because I felt like the marinade wasn't flavorful enough. The Broccoli Beef had a weird tang to it and the broccoli was a little mushy. Wasn't a fan of the beef in it either because it was super jelly like, had no type of bite to it. The chow mein here is standard, could use some more flavor and more pork pieces in it but will satisfy your chow mein cravings so I would get this again. Crab rangoons were very crispy but the filling was sweeter than normal, still good. Veggie eggrolls were standard and good. Service was awesome, friendly and fast. Prices are good! I'm definitely coming back

Jalapeno chicken over steamed rice. ( 2 eggrolls not shown) Total $7.08. They gave lots of meat. Worth it.

Got a bowl. White rice and jalapeño chicken. Comes with either 2 eggrolls or a canned soda. Total $7.08. Yummy!!

Egg Foo, Chow Mein, General Chicken, Greenbean Chicken
    Arriana A.

I had a craving for Chinese and 7:30. They had no more garlic chicken like sold out. T.T but I took home the General Chicken, Greenbean Chicken with Chow Mein, and Egg Foo Young. The sauce on the Egg is fire and makes it extra tasty.

Be prepared unlike me, prices have gone up (October 2024)

Food is bland, chow main had too much soy sauce. Service is okay, there is no ambiance. It's like a Chinese deli.

Turn the clock forward a decade and guess what, the food is still outstanding and the service is still attentive and kind. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive for us so we were good and hungry when we got into town. The owner greeted us warmly and a friendly server (her son), came by to help us. We decided to order: Hot & sour soup - heaven in a big bowl. Savory broth filled with delicious ingredients. It was well flavored, not too spicy or tangy Mu shu chicken - 4 pancakes with hoisin sauce. Our server wrapped our first ones for us. The dish contained the typical scrambled egg, sliced cabbage, protein, etc and it was fresh and tasty Beef with asparagus -noted in the entry that asparagus was in season so we had to order it. Meat was tender and the asparagus was cooked beautifully House chow mein - Fried perfectly and not doused in a bunch of sauce or oil. The protein on this dish was plentiful and it was simple and delicious. I loved how they didn't add chives/green onion to these dishes. The hot & sour soup had a few little green onions for color but this is the first time I've been to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't overfill the dishes with onions (as I don't like onions). Maybe that's the reason I enjoyed everything so much. Portions are very generous! We had lots of yummy leftovers. Our server told us that two of his brothers were the chefs. My kudos to them; they certainly know how to cook!

I'm pretty picky about chow mein and theirs is unmatched; I love the flavor and especially the thicker noodles they use. Service is always really quick, the staff truly treats customers like family, and the food comes out hot and fresh every time. It's an unassuming hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but such a gem! There…read morearen't a lot of great Chinese buffet options in the area, so I came in with reasonable expectations, and this place exceeded them. Before I get into the review, I think it's only fair to mention that I rate buffets differently than traditional restaurants. My expectations are based on other buffets, where freshness, consistency, food rotation, and value matter just as much as presentation. This feels more like a small, family-owned neighborhood buffet than a large commercial chain, and I actually think that's part of its charm. The buffet isn't huge, but I'd rather have a smaller selection that's done well than a massive buffet where half the food has been sitting under heat lamps for hours. I sampled most of the buffet, and overall I was impressed. My favorite dishes were the beef chow fun noodles, chow mein, honey pork, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and the spicy chicken wings. The wings were especially good, they were nice and meaty with a great flavor and weren't loaded with fat like buffet wings sometimes are. Other solid choices were the sweet and sour pork, broccoli beef, and fried green beans. The only items that didn't really stand out to me were the vegetable egg rolls and crab rangoons. They weren't bad by any means, just average compared to the rest of the buffet. One thing that really stood out was how well the buffet was maintained. A staff member was constantly cleaning, rotating trays, and refilling food, so everything stayed warm and fresh throughout my visit. I never came across anything that was cold or looked like it had been sitting for a long time. The soda station was clean, drinks were self-serve, and the staff was friendly whenever I interacted with them. Most of the customers seemed to be ordering takeout rather than dining in, and after seeing the portions, I completely understand why. The takeout containers were packed so full they were almost difficult to close. For the price, the value here is outstanding. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars comes down to presentation. The dining room itself is clean, but it's very simple. From the drink station you can see directly into part of the kitchen, and the plumbing underneath the soda and ice machine is exposed, which makes the restaurant feel less polished. I didn't see anything that made me question the cleanliness or food safety; it was more of an aesthetic issue than a sanitation concern, but it does affect the overall atmosphere. That said, when I judge this place as a buffet rather than comparing it to a full-service restaurant, the food quality, freshness, service, and value easily outweigh those cosmetic issues. Would I come back? Absolutely. If you're looking for an affordable Chinese buffet with consistently fresh food, friendly staff, generous portions, and flavors that honestly surprised me, M Kitchen Buffet is definitely worth checking out.

You just walk right in, grab a plate, and start loading up. Once you sit down, someone will bring drinks. While there, many people came in for the to-go options. The place honestly looks shut down. I hate that I couldn't see anywhere in the back where the food was being cooked, the lady kept yelling at the man in the back. She wasn't too welcoming when I walked in either. Then, I pay, tip $8.
