I've come here a few times and have been impressed! The sushi is so delicious. Fresh, beautifully presented, and tasty. The atmosphere is bright and clean. I think the service has a bit of room for improvement. The staff is nice, but I get the sense they are a bit disorganized (no service for awhile, and then two people come over to take the order.) They have some Japanese beers on draft and even a Japanese IPA in a can! They also have some fun cocktails. Someone in a review mentioned happy hour, but they do not have happy hour. I couldn't help but to give this place 5 stars all the way around! The inside is beautiful and SO clean, the food was insanely delicious, and the service was amazing! My fiancé and I started off with the bbq bao and it did not disappoint. Crunchy, flavorful and light. We also got the sampler of the spring rolls, steamed dumplings and chicken. All very good, but the chicken stole the show! It was the perfect combination of flavors. Right then and there we could tell that we were in for quite the treat for the entire time. We ordered the lunch size of the pad Thai with tofu to test out and it was very good. Also came with salad & ginger dressing and miso soup. Since we were sharing, they even gave us each a soup and salad. THE GRAND FINALE!!!! We ordered the Tennessee roll and the volcano roll and OH MY GOODNESS! I have given this place so many chances and it gets worse each time. I don't think I will ever be back. The service is absolute crap. Food is not anything special. The cocktails are not good. I had to wait 45 minutes for an avocado roll and a California roll to come out. This is after everyone else I was sitting with had finished eating. The server never refilled my water. Every time I tried to ask her something she walked away before I could finish my sentence. After sitting for a good 25 or 30 minute she finally came over and asked if I had even gotten my sushi. She was pretty hostile about it too when I told her I didn't even care for the sushi anymore I just wanted to say for the soup and salad I got. All dishes and sushi rolls are presented beautifully and the flavors are fresh, hot and incredible. This is my third time at Thai Samurai and I've ordered a variety of dishes now. Every dish has been presentable and robust with flavor. For appetizers, I highly recommend the Thai Samurai rolls. It's deep friend and filled with chicken, shrimp, mushrooms and chest bites and served with a plum sauce. For sushi, I recommend the volcano roll which is baked and comes out with flames in the dish. It's a fun item to see come out and it's so good to eat! We've also had the green and the red curry at a spice level three. The spice levels are true Thai levels, which I appreciate very much! Lastly, I highly recommend the Bangkok Boat Pho Noodles. This is not a common dish found in Thai restaurants so I appreciate that they have it. The broth is a five-spice consommé broth - packed with noodles. I should also mention that we order seafood in a lot of our dishes and they do not skimp on the quantity and the quality of seafood is exceptional. So we do not mind paying the upcharge. I should also mention that the staff is super friendly. And lastly, the restaurant itself is very clean. The decor has a great fusion of Thai and Japanese decor, as well as clean and modern bathrooms. This will be our go-to restaurant for Japanese and Thai food in the Mount Juliet area! read more

This is by far the best food in the area for Asian restaurants. Definitely try the Thai samurai rolls! A favorite of ours. Ive ordered the green and red curry, both were delicious. Tip: add a spice level to heat it up. A spice level 3 is pretty darn hot here. Have also had the duck curry and it is great! A must order in my opinion. The Bangkok boat noodle soup is very good. Its basically pho with a beef bouillon broth. Very good. Hmm...what else have we had. Oh the sushi rolls were very good. Fresh and tasty.
