a plate of sushi and rolls

We were in Nashville visiting some friends and decided to go out for some sushi. We found this place and it was obviously busy and short handed but our waitress hustled and got everyone taken care of. We ordered their large sushi combo and some rolls and appetizers on the side. They were busy so it was a bit of a wait but the sushi was wonderful and the presentation was on point. If you're in the hermitage area and looking for some sushi, give this place a shot.

This is a hidden gem of Hermitage! The crab rangoon is one of my favorite. They are crispy savory-sweet delicious treats! My GF and I go-to is the Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi it serves 2-3 people. It's full of chicken and veggies and a few shrimp. The house salad dressings are the bomb! We had to order extra because it's so good! Highly recommend ordering extra ginger salad dressing to go. Nothing beats summer eat than s fresh refreshing salad.

Needed a sushi fix and they had a great selection of signature rolls. The star of the show was the Spicy Trio. This place has reasonable prices and fresh sushi. They also offer traditional Asian entrees and hibachi. Decent selection of draft beers and attentive service.

What a gem! We received the best service here, and the sushi and hibachi were delicious! The scallops were large and not overcooked, and you get plenty of food on the lunch specials. The sashimi was fresh, I can't remember the name of the roll we had, but it was so freaking good! I will definitely return here, the prices are so fair for the amount of good food you receive.

Baked mussels appetizer. Delicious.

Our food was excellent. We had the baked mussels as an appetizer and shrimp egg foo young. Service was great.

We had the casino roll, Rock lobster roll and fire dragon roll. All three were amazing!

Food and service was great. Sushi was fresh and very tasteful. Tempura was hot and crispy. Miso soup was great. Definitely will be back.

We stopped in on a rainy Saturday afternoon a little before 4:00 PM after reading the Yelp reviews. We hadn't eaten all day and honestly weren't paying much attention to the time. When we walked in, we were the only customers in the restaurant. What we didn't realize until we were nearly finished with our meal was that the restaurant didn't actually open until 4:00 PM. Mr. Lee, the owner, never mentioned it once. Instead, he greeted us with a warm smile and welcomed us as if we were longtime regulars. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and immediately set the tone for an exceptional experience. The food absolutely lived up to the reviews. The kimchi was outstanding--fresh, flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. Every sushi roll we ordered was beautifully prepared and incredibly tasty. Hint don't skip the brown sauce! But the star of the meal was the Bulgogi Roll. I had never tried one before, and now I can't imagine visiting Sushi Circle without ordering it. The combination of tender, well marinated beef and other flavors was unforgettable and unlike anything I've had at other sushi restaurants. Between the outstanding food and Mr. Lee's kindness, it's easy to see why Sushi Circle has built such a loyal following. Our first visit felt less like dining at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone's home. We'll definitely be back, and next time I'll be ordering the Bulgogi Roll first.

I got a variety of things to share with my party. The food was good and timely. I very much appreciated the hard work this lone sushi chef was doing. two other parties came in and he helped them all. The inside was decorated nicely I will come back because the pricing was fair in my opinion.

If you walk into a restaurant at 7pm on a Wednesday night and the place is fully packed and there…read moreare people waiting behind you to be sat, you KNOW you made the right decision to go there. We were greeted nicely by the hostess and waited roughly 5 minutes for a table to open up. A family of five came in right after us and decided to sit at the bar to eat. I knew in my heart that this was the best place to go to for my husband's birthday dinner. We sat on some barstools while we waited, discussing the hockey game playing on the tv behind the bar. I loved the low ambient lighting that spread across the ceiling. Our waitress was nice but she never gave us her name so I unfortunately can't shout her out. She gave us recommendations so I ended up taking one of hers. Now, if you have read my Thai restaurant reviews, you know by now that I judge a Thai restaurant by ordering their Pad Thai the first visit, however, I broke that rule because I just KNEW this place was going to be good. We ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken, Pad Kee Mao with chicken, I ordered the Khao Soi Gai (it comes with chicken, no substitutions), and one Thai iced tea. You guys. When the Tom Kha soup touched my lips, I was SO excited to get the main course! It was made PERFECTLY. I haven't had true Tom Kha since probably when I lived in California over a decade ago. The Thai tea was strong and delicious, exactly how it should be made. The Khao Soi Gai...that first sip of the curry broth nearly made me go Meg Ryan-mode in the restaurant. If you know, you know. "I'll have what she's having!" Our waitress recommended this dish and I'm so glad I was adventurous and tried something different outside of my "I'll judge you based off of your Pad Thai" attitude. It was perfect and when I say perfect, I didn't even add lime juice to it because I didn't want to mess anything up with the flavor profile. Sure, lime could have added another element to the dish but when I say it was perfect the way it was, it's true. The night at Smiley would have ended perfectly if it weren't for the miserable couple who sat beside us discussing how unhappy they were in their marriage and decided to accept the waitstaff into their broken marriage by being completely rude. But the staff remained professional and kind through it all and I give them HUGE props for that because I was a moment away from telling that wretched couple off. In short, the staff here are wonderful, and the food is memorable, delectable, delicious, perfect...it's HEAVEN. We will DEFINITELY be back to try other menu items!

Definitely would recommend and we will be back!

First the passion fruit milk tea is actually a yogurt based tea, not the traditional Taiwanese milk tea you find in most places. A yogurt drink is tangy and good, but not what I was expecting when I ordered it. Second they packed the jalapeño right in the same place as the noodle and I don't like spicey, but I didn't think I had to add the jalapeño. Well even without adding a single jalapeño to my soup it was super spicey because the noodles had been sitting on top of the spicey peppers. I couldn't finish my soup because I am pregnant and super sensitive to spice right now. My stomach blew up like a balloon. Also the basil leaves had a lot of brown in them. Other than that it was tasty and I would eat there again. I just would ask for no jalapeños and I would ask if they have any milk tea that's not yogurt based. The boba itself was good though.

I ordered a rare steak and meatball phó, and some Thai fried Eggrolls. The fried eggrolls were decent. The phó had a dark broth color, which in my mind tells me it's a bouillon from a glass jar with hot water. The noodles and meat were cooked great. The broth was something to be desired. I enjoy a fatty, clear beef broth. I was not super impressed with the sriracha. Adding another brand to the sriracha bottle trying to fool customers is not a good practice. It makes the phó taste awful. I can't speak for other pho restaurants in the area, but this was so-so for me.
