How did I just learn about this local gem? Fabulous place with AMAZING gelato! I brought home some fig and ricotta gelato. It is divine! I tried the Brio flavor (mulberry and lavender) and will bring some home next visit. I easily could have tasted ALL the flavors but I somehow managed a smidge of restraint. I ordered a cortado as well. Hard to find that on most menus. The espresso machine was beautiful and my drink was caffeinated perfection. And I could not make my exit without a couple of items from the pastry case. I bought the pistachio ricotta cake and the amarena cheesecake. All of this was for me and I make no apologies. The service was great. All my questions were thoughtfully answered. The best answer? All gelato is made in-house. There were sandwich and breakfast items also on the menu. I will have to go back to try those. Because I was on a mission. And my mission was gelato. Mission accomplished! read more

Named after the Italian word that essentially means panache or pizzazz, BRIÒ Gelateria and Caffè selected the perfect name to celebrate their dashing bistro east of Nashville. Apparently, not all the best bakeries lie within the big city after all. About 25 minutes out of downtown Nashville lying on the western periphery of Mount Juliet, BRIÒ makes a stunning array of Italian treats. Cannoli, gelato, waffles, crepes, milkshakes, sandwiches, you name it! Their gelato game is very strong! In fact, it's the highest rated gelateria on the entirety of Highway 70, one of America's longest roads that spans the country from Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean. With all that fanfare and these tremendous online ratings, I eagerly anticipated my visit. The mint gelato was tasty, maybe a little too minty for my preference despite my obsession with this flavor, but still delicious. However, it was the caramel pecan cheesecake that blew my mind! This is one of the greatest desserts in Middle Tennessee, properly firm cheesecake topped with candied pecans in a beautiful caramel sauce that accentuates every bite. This place is such gem and I hope they never leave! Everything is delicious and I feel great about putting guilt-free, low-ingredient foods into my family's bodies. While I've seen a few complaints about prices from reviewers, I believe Brio's prices reflect the quality of the ingredients and all of the imports from Italy in their food! The seating and overall atmosphere is fresh and comfortable to sit and work or hang with friends. I can't say enough about Brio! read more

Stopped here during our spring break from Chicago. This gelato shop is such a gem! The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the quality--everything comes straight from Italy and it shows. The texture was super smooth and creamy, and you can tell it's high quality. The staff was also really friendly and helpful when choosing flavors. Additionally, they had gluten free options and for those who are gluten free. Lastly, my kid is super picky but loved the waffles here. I'll definitely be back on our next visit. read more

We've visited Brio a few times now over the past few months and we love it! We love every dessert on their menu- you really can't go wrong! We love that they're so friendly, has lots of seating, + clean restrooms! The cherry on top is that they are open till 9pm every night! There's not much open in this area on Sundays or in the evenings, so this has been a great place to meet friends in the evening for dessert! Great dessert place that's not super loud or crowded! Wow!! How'd we get so lucky to get a real gelato place in MJ?!? She imports almost everything from Italy and makes everything from scratch! No artificial flavors or junk in this stuff. We only tried the gelato this day and it was delicious. But they have sandwiches and all the fun coffee drinks and it's sooo cute!!
