Had the most delightful lunch here with a new friend who introduced me to this gem. The space…read moreitself is a large converted house with multiple rooms to explore, each one a little different, but all with a cozy country Victorian charm that makes you want to settle into a corner and stay a while. We started with the strawberry lemonade, which was delicious, not overly sweet, with just enough fresh fruit pulp to make it unique and incredibly refreshing. Since we couldn't decide, we split two entrées: the Lovin' Onion croissant sandwich (savory) and the Chopped & Topped salad (a little on the sweeter side). The sandwich was soft and fresh, with the perfect salty tang from the pickles and a satisfying crunch from the fried onions. The salad was a bed mix of greens topped with chicken salad and chopped strawberries. Light and perfectly balanced. We cleaned our plates completely. The small slice of homemade carrot cake that came with the salad was such a lovely add after a lighter dish, and the chocolate-covered strawberries felt like the icing on the cake of an already wonderful meal. Loved every minute of it. The staff was incredibly kind, too. Already looking forward to coming back and enjoying the patio this spring. Definitely a new fave in Gallatin.

What really stood out was the service -- the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They noticed the ice cream was melting right away and kindly gave us extra cups for the cones, along with additional spoons and napkins. There are a few outdoor tables, and the breeze made it a really nice spot to sit and enjoy. Overall, great experience -- the kids were happy, and the service was exceptional.

But another ice cream place seems to have a higher level of ingredients. The staff was friendly, service was fast, and the price was decent. I had the vanilla cherry. It had marachino cherries, not normal cherries. Apparently I am a cherry snob. My hubby had the peach shake, which was good, but to thick to drink from the straw provided. And the shake went up into the dome lid, so he couldn't spoon it out without spilling ice cream. Im not gonna lie, there is a joy that comes from eating ice cream in the car. Especially on a hot day. I want to come back and try some of their other options to make sure I am being fair. Plus, who can say no to ice cream in a drive through?
