This little hidden gem... it's in a strip mall. They weren't too busy when we arrived. The 2 young girls working looked terrified when we walked in. They had tons to choose from. Popsicles, ice cream, fruit drinks, frozen bananas.... Our friends ordered shakes. We ordered ice cream. It was all very tasty. I would love if Chattanooga had sonething similar. It seemed very clean and organized. I just think the staff didn't quite know what to think of us. They seemed very standoff ish. We ended up going to sit in car instead of staying and sitting at the tables. We didn't feel very welcomed. I've never given a review before but I decided to write one because I'm disappointed. I've never had La Michoacán ice cream before as I've heard mixed reviews from many places. I came to visit some of my family and they decided to take me to this place. Was not a good experience I'll tell you that. The ice cream tasted old and not fresh??? How can that even be? and what's even worse was the older lady that helped me. She was so rude??? No customer service attitude what so ever. Terrible attitude. I'm very disappointed as I thought this place was "nice" as I've seen some people say. Good news is I only came to visit so I won't be here again. read more

They also have ice cream and food but we didn't have either. I had a delicious, slightly sour, lime popsicle at the store and took several to go. This place is unlike any other Michoacana I have ever been to. They have taken strides to make themselves unique by serving things such as hot chips with cheese on top and some kind of dish inside half a watermelon. As always, they have amazing ice cream. Their main focus at this one is their paletas (popsicles), which dominate the display case. There's some discount if you buy 20 but we never quite managed to reach it as there was no way we could eat that many! They have a mango paleta with chile in it that's pretty good but if you get a chunk of chile it can be pretty intense. The chocolate paleta reminded me of fudge bars- which are good but not the kind of unique flavor I am usually looking for in Mexican ice cream. Their peanut butter ice cream wasn't peanut buttery enough to me. I feel like it just didn't hit the spot like I was hoping it would. This place is right next to the Kroger by my friend's house so we will totes be back! Yea! Woo hoo! Finally!!! We have Mexican ice cream and treats now! The bars are heavenly. Big pieces of fruit enrobed in creama. I've had the strawberry and cream, raspberry and cream, pecan, blackberry and Twinkie. Yes, twinkie. It's better than the Twinkie you know. I've not made it to the fruit juices or the scoops of ice cream. The bars are $2.25 and much larger than the ones in most of the specialty places. We're happy to have it here. read more

Can't believe this place opened 2 months ago and I just found out about it today on FB (thank goodness). I've driven through this shopping center many times and never noticed it. I got the caramel popsicle dipped in chocolate, amazing. Tasted several of their drinks, LOVED the iced pina colada drink it had a great fresh fruity flavor, not fake tasting. My we also got the strawberry ice cream which was wonderful too. Prices were great compared to similar places. So many things we want to try there and can't wait to go back! They make everything btw. We went here for my husband's birthday and it was so much fun. He got a milk shake, my son ordered a bubblegum popsicle, and I had an order of sherbet. They offered at least 4-5 dairy free ice creams and had several other dairy free choices, which is hard to get at most ice cream places.
