The price was 303$ after tax. The only thing that was changed from the day that I wanted the estimate was the I asked is it over half of what you said that she did not give me that price but she did. My husband was next to me and we both looked at each other, but I ended up purchasing it anyways. The day I went to pick it up the lady was so rude to me. She proceeded to give me the cake in a little Willie thing, then went back around and said there's your cake you can take it no asking do you need help putting in a car nothing when I had seen them before offer help to other people will not be going from them no more my business with them is over!!!!!!!

Typical Latin bakery shop where it's pretty easygoing and you grab what you want they bag it up for you. We got a bag of around $20 worth of stuff and we munches religiously for around a week- great for breakfast, afternoon tea, or un cafecito! I didn't actually go into the store to reduce risk of exposure, so I'm not exactly what all the varieties were. But we ended up getting coconut flavored items, pineapple tops, and other moist and various texture and flavor breads. I mean, carbs are delicious and pair it with your favorite beverage- magic! I would love to support again one day, but I am concerned that my mother who was the one who went in notes that none of the personnel were wearing masks or gloves. The same for the customers. My mother did don both asks and gloves and practiced social distancing. However, it's concerning to hear that the business wasn't wearing any kind of PPE. I've noticed this in middle TN in general and am concerned. I would advice the team to take precautions and for that reason, I will have to give them a lower rating. However, after COVID-19, I would like to go in for the full experience and try it for myself.

We had a week left and returned for another dozen. I am positive if I lived here I would have diabetes from this place. The donuts are just incredible, all fresh and so many flavors. My first visit I got: Blueberry Cake which was incredible, glazed yeast, bear claw, Homer Strawberry Yeast, a lemon, a Boston, and a twist. They were all so incredibly delicious and I was on a sugar rush all day. Incredibly delicious. The second visit was a repeat with a few different. We also got donut holes that were amazing. The staff are super friendly and it was busy. I would definitely recommend and return, but warning, these donuts are addictive.

McGaugh's is your classic, no frills donut shop that is more nostalgic than fancy. The space is outfitted with old school decor, flooring and vibes. There are a few tables, a cooler, small condiment station and a counter, and that is enough! In addition to the public space, there is a view in to the kitchen, where all the donut magic occurs. Knowing what I know about this place, I was after the blueberry donuts and ended up with two of those, plus a classic chocolate glazed and an iced mocha. The blueberry glazed was the better of the two blueberry, which included a non-glazed. The non-glazed was a bit flat and also had a tinge of artificial flavoring. The classic donut with chocolate frosting was the standout for me. Light, airy, delicious and absolute perfection! While they are not known for their coffees or are technically a coffee house, I have to speak on the iced mocha...which was not great. This sounds really weird, but it tasted like how a cigarette smells. I know, really odd, but also spot on as I had someone else taste it and they said the same thing. The coffee was only $3, which I appreciated given the taste. So, it wasn't a total loss. Service was friendly, helpful and patient. Given my first visit, I took a few minutes to see what all was to offer. They also have a drive thru, which is convenient and useful now that I know what I would be after here. Pricing for 3 donuts and a coffee ended up around $8, which is pretty rad and rare, so I will take it! Overall, McGaugh's is a solid neighborhood and local donut spot! Glad to have finally popped in. Will definitely be back!

I took my mama there that same weekend and the rest is history.. The whole family was hooked. I live out of state, but my mom and son, in Springfield, frequent this place on special days out. They share a birthday, April 9th, and were having a birthday lunch there this afternoon, when I got the idea to call the restaurant to ask if there was any way I could provide a card to cover their lunch, since you pay at the end. I was greeted and helped by the kindest woman, Alicia. She found them, about to leave, and hurried to take my info! She was lovely in the sincerest way. I gave her my phone number if there were any issues. Well, there were, as my lovely mom perused their delightful gift shop area (think Cracker Barrel but better) so long the pre-auth expired and my card declined! LOL HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS The girl who called back to get things squared away was just as darling as could be, I'm sorry I didn't get your name, but thank you. Thanks to all of you for your help :) As for the food, my son said: "incredible, as usual." 5 million star experience every time! The meat and 3 concept is a dying art that they have mastered.

Chef's Market Cafe & Takeaway is one of those places that's easy to love and easy to come back to…read more The cafeteria-style setup makes it quick and approachable, but the food is where it really shines. Portions are generous, everything feels fresh and comforting, and it's consistently done well. We've eaten here in person and grabbed it to go on busy nights, and it holds up every time. Our personal favorites are the chicken, pot roast, and meatloaf, all hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you're craving a solid comfort meal. One of the things I love most about this place is that it truly feels like "come as you are." There's no single type of crowd here. You'll see families, business meetings, date nights, people dressed up, people dressed casually, groups of two, groups of four, and even three generations sitting together. It works before or after church, after school, after soccer games, or after work. No judgment, no pressure, just people showing up for great food and a great environment. What really stands out is how respectful and welcoming everyone is. Whether it's a toddler learning to eat, someone needing a little extra space, or a busy group navigating a crowded moment, people are patient, kind, and considerate of one another. The staff and guests alike create an atmosphere that genuinely embodies Southern hospitality. What also makes this place special is how much thought has gone into the overall experience. While you're waiting in line, there are fun and unique extras to browse like recipe books, aprons, and thoughtful items for kids. Nothing feels like filler. It all adds to how warm and homey the space feels for locals and visitors alike. And then there's the dessert area, which deserves its own mention. There's an entire cake station behind a large glass case filled with massive, handmade-from-scratch cakes. You can grab slices, order whole cakes in advance, and even place special holiday dessert orders. It's decadent, impressive, and very hard to walk past without stopping. Even when it's incredibly busy, the team is friendly, efficient, and well organized. Whether dining inside, outside, or picking up food to go, the experience is always smooth and welcoming. Included are a few photos from the first time we ate there in person outside, though we've been back many times since. Shown here are the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy and a roll and the roasted chicken with green beans and rosemary roasted potatoes for reference.

I was in this area for work and was looking for some gluten free vegan sweets. It appeared that Healthy Body Bakery could satisfy that craving, as they cater to those with dietary restrictions. It's a small business, tucked behind the main street-facing businesses of a building. I was warmly greeted upon entry. They only had one gf vegan cake option on the day that I went (vanilla cake with vanilla icing), but they had several gf cupcakes and muffins available. I grabbed a cake slice (for half off!) and a cupcake. VANILLA CAKE SLICE Vegan and gluten free vanilla cake and vanilla icing. The cake was moist and the taste was ok to a seasoned vegan. What I mean by that is, for decades I've watched (and tasted) as the vegan food game evolved. Back in the 90s, vegan vanilla cake had this same beige/light brown color and flavor. So I actually knew what it would taste like before I even bought it, based on the color. However, it did not taste gluten free and that is a flex. The icing was slightly lighter than a buttercream icing, but definitely not a whipped cream icing. For people who don't like "too sweet", this icing would be perfect for you. It was sweet without the sugar rush. I would love to see them improve on their vegan vanilla cake though. If they can get it to that light and fluffy yellow vanilla color, they'd join the dozens of awesome vegan bakers across the country who've mastered this feat. MANDARIN ORANGE CUPCAKE A tasty orange flavored cupcake with the same aforementioned vanilla icing. It was moist; it did not have that typical grainy gf texture or dry gf taste. It was a very good cupcake. I believe they also have a peach gf vegan cake in their rotation. If I was in the area again, I'd definitely return to try that peach flavor.
