The fries are supposed to be homemade and tasted pretty fresh. This place is actually known for its milkshakes. Which We did not try this trip, but have in the past and they are big and pretty good. accessibility: there's plenty of room to maneuver in a wheelchair and different seating options including booths and tables. The women's bathroom was spacious and easy to maneuver and had a baby changing table. They're single stall so would be easy for anyone to use; the men's restroom was a little tight to maneuver from a small power chair. read more

Needed to get a bite to eat, and decided to try this place. I was a little nervous cause it wasn't very busy. The hostess saw us come in and quickly came over to greet us with a smile. We were given a comfy booth. I ordered the banana pudding shake, and I loved it. Hubby had the chocolate shake and said it was delicious. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. Hubby had the classic burger and regular fries. The pulled pork had bacon and shoestring fried onions. The sweet, salty, smoky fllaver was impressive. Bacon and onions were crispy, the bun was soft and fresh. I don't understand how our food tasted so fresh, cause it came out so fast. The classic burger was a large Patty and very enjoyable. I'm not sure how I feel about the sweet potato fries. They were dusted with sugar and cinnamon and delicious, but I love a good, old-fashioned, salty, sweet potato fry better. The regular fries were so perfectly fried, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, not a single mini dried fry on the plate. The young ladies working were really working hard. If they weren't restocking, they were wiping down the arcade machine or sweeping. I love seeing a good work ethic in the younger generations. Nothing bothers me more than a restaurant that creates overcooked dry burgers and covers it up with a ton of toppings. The burger was not made fresh.That's probably why I usually avoid theme-based items. The place is cute with lots of things to look at - my adhd was very happy. The service was fantastic, shout-out to Colson! And the food.... LOVED IT! Their patties just have this rich beefy taste, I don't know how to describe it but it's truly delicious. The fried pickles are very crispy and Swaney sauce is incredible. We stopped by Swaney Swifts around 1pm on a Saturday. Wasn't overly busy and got seated right away. The inside is nicely decorated and has a fun vibe. Our server was incredibly nice but seemed very frazzled and wasn't super great about giving recommendations. But like I said, incredibly kind. The food was decent! We had two burgers and two Bloody Mary's. The bloody's were pretty average but still a good flavor. My husband loved his burger, "The Swaney" and I got "The Southerner", which was tasty. Someone recommended me this burger place and me and my family I decided to give it a try, The breakfast burger was DELICIOUS!!, and I got a strawberry milkshake and it was so good! The milkshake was perfect. It wasn't too thick or too thin it was just right! The server was nice and the restaurant was nice and clean and the restaurant has a fun retro theme. Brought the family here today for lunch. Fried pickles for starters. Boy they're good and they were gone quick too. Then I had a veggie burger vegan style with sweet potato fries. It was delicious after I asked for lettuce and tomatoes to put on it. ‍ I put some fried pickles on it too. Yum yum!! Our server was so sweet and kind. She refilled our drinks and made sure my food was ok for me, since I have food allergies. It's such a fun family place. Kid friendly and friendly kids. The parking can be a challenge but it's worth it. If you have to park down the street it's ok because it gives you a chance to walk and shop local while working your lunch off. read more

Rounding up to a 4 since my family enjoyed it, but would be a 3.5 for me. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with hubby, baby and in-laws for lunch. I'm dairy, egg and tree nut free while breastfeeding so didn't have high hopes for anything more than a plain salad or french fries...but was pleasantly surprised with the options! Our waitress was fully familiar with dairy allergen info for their menu and let me know that the buns are dairy free (although not gluten free) and the butter is soy based, so pretty much any burger minus cheese would be safe! By the time you remove the cheese and sauces (may contain egg), though, it only really leaves the classic. The burger was ok; I think their flavoring relies on the cheese, sauces and other toppings because the rest of the family loved their burgers. I also thought the tomato on my burger was a bit over ripe. The fries were great: really crispy on the outside, but soft inside. They also have a number of tasty sounding milkshake and dessert options on the menu that I hope to try when I no longer have dietary restrictions. We all liked the casual atmosphere and my father-in-law especially loved seeing the football games shown on 6 screens around the dining area! (5 TVs and 1 giant projector.) Super convenient location on Gallatin's downtown square so you can pop in for a bite while shopping or short walk from the public library. They also have 3 small tables in front of you want to dine outside. Free street parking on the square or there's a free parking lot about a block away. read more

We went in to try the "new look" Swaneys. The ambiance has totally changed. It used to be a reflection of the downtown Gallatin area with the old timey pharmacy vibes. Now it's open and empty with a 50s diner vibe. Not as cozy feeling as it used to be. The food was ok. Not great, not bad, just ok. Didn't wow us by any means and the lack of decor didn't leave a memorable impression. We would go back, but just on occasion. I brought my girlfriend here, first spot i was showing her in Gallatin. It had been a while since i had been here but man! the food has went downhill. My burger was cold, like extremely cold. It tasted terrible. The milkshakes are still great but it's hard to mess up a milkshake. The time it took to get my food wasn't bad. And i sat outside, so the ambiance was just fine, can't complain about our beautiful square. Just ate at this place for the first time in a couple of years and WOW, what a disappointment! They removed the old bar/soda fountain, which really made the place, in terms of atmosphere. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, and it was a frozen, processed "breast like blob"; not good at all. I arrived about 5 minutes before noon, and was surprised to see only one other table occupied, but the reason soon became apparent. Divey-throwback diner type restaurant on the square in Gallatin. The place is nostalgic and plays oldies music and sometimes has a movie playing. Burger and fries type of food, and the floats and sundaes add a nice finishing touch. We ordered the Dean sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich. We both had fries, but mine were sweet potato fries. All of the food was very good. The bread for the sandwiches was toasted, and had a real good flavor which added to the sandwich overall. I would have liked to have tried the desserts, but we were just too full. But another reason to come back again. This is a cool place, and a must stop while in town.
