First experience was going well and I am halfway through my salas and found a broken off piece of razor blade in my salad from the machine that chips the onions. The waiter who, was mortified, was so amazing but the management didn't handle the situation well at all. I'm a chill person and didn't act as a normal person would. The waiter came back and the manager had blamed him for not seeing it, the manager also didn't even come to the table. So unimpressed with how it was handled. Visited on 4/11/26--easily one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. We waited over an hour for our food while multiple tables around us were seated, served, and finished their meals. Our waiter, Robert, was completely disengaged--he couldn't even remember if he had taken our order and was nowhere to be found most of the time. No updates, no drink refills, no basic service. Eventually, we were told they had run out of hamburgers and were waiting on a delivery. That's something you communicate upfront--not after customers have been sitting there for an hour. When I asked for a manager, she brought the food out herself but didn't apologize. The food was cold and clearly not worth the wait. At that point, we just wanted to leave. What really stands out is that no one made any effort to fix the situation. No apology, no accountability, no adjustment to the bill--nothing. Completely unacceptable experience. I would not go back and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

If you want a good brunch, especially one that comes with a Bloody Mary bar- this is the place! The brunch spread includes crispy bacon and the best French toast sticks you've ever had! The fresh fruit was actually sweet, too. It's all technically considered outdoors, making it great for going with kids. The noise level is moderate, no one is going to complain about a couple toddler screeches. Our server was excellent, walked us through regular menus and the all-you-can-eat brunch options. Love this place! Unlike the typical marina restaurant, they actually make good food, not just something marginally edible because they know you aren't driving anywhere. Brunch is great, there's an omelette station, buffet, and you can get a glass of vodka and make your own Bloody Mary. There's also a burger, the delicious shrimp Brekkichanga, and a bunch of Benedicts although I think they could make a better Hollandaise if they wanted to. we have now dined twice at awedaddys, gallatin, tn, and we will most probably not return. the two servers, bailey and zoe were absolutely wonderful and attentive, but nothing could make up for the meager ingredients in our 4 dining choices. although each dish was tasty, mainly disguised by queso or other cheese-based sauces, the amount of protein was dismal. we had the fish tacos, brisket taco special and the cuban, and all had far too little protein for the $16-17 pricetag! i should have taken a photo to show you how little roasted pork, white fish and brisket which was disguised in sauces and cheese. i was even charged an extra $1 when i determined that the salsa was insufficient for the chips (one meager plastic cup of no more than 2 tbsp). all mexican restaurants provide as much chips and salsa as you need, for entrees that are far less expensive. if you are going to charge prices like these, we expect and demand at least 4-6 oz of the selected protein, not just masqueraded with sauce/cheese. even your lettuce was the cheapest iceberg vs better quality romaine. your menu descriptions and list of ingredients are indeed attractive and luring, but the meal does not live up to the expectations. i rarely offer such a powerful negative response, but your future patrons deserve to be warned in advance of their visit to spend hard earned dollars. feel free to contact me at 612-718-4534, if you care to discuss further or try to remedy this performance. read more

I am a huge fan of restaurants at marinas and Awedaddy's Bar and Grill at Gallatin Marina is a perfect example of why. It was the end of an extremely hot day, and we still agreed to sit outside and eat. The outdoor bar was comfortable, the staff (or Crew according to their t-shirts) were busy, but hard working and most attentive. We ordered drinks from the bar and then our meals. Our waitress was there on her first day and was a trooper. She was efficient, friendly, and funny. She worked really hard and did a great job. The entire staff was running around in a well choreographed dance routine filling orders, refilling drinks, serving food, and taking care of all the guests. This was our first visit to Awedaddys. The service was good. The cheese sticks were phenomenal. The Cuban sandwich....not great. There was very little pork or pickle on it. Would definitely not order it again. The pork tacos were just ok. The pork itself didn't have much flavor, though the toppings and salsa were good and flavorful. My husband had the bushwacker original flavor and it was quite tasty. Overall, we really wanted to love this place as it's close to home and sits in the marina. They have a fun atmosphere. We will definitely give it another try... the table next to us had the chicken tender sandwich and a burger....both looked very good. 8 of us stopped for lunch during a day of play on Old Hickory Lake. Service was fast and the food was good. I had the crab cakes and the peel & eat shrimp. The peal & eat was cooked right and tasted like it was seasoned with Old Bay. The crab cakes had a basaltic reduction on them that was so strong, I couldn't taste the crab at all. In spite of that it was good, Others has the strawberry salad, the ahi tuna, fried cheese sticks, salmon and grits. It was all good. It's a great place for a brew and a bite to eat. I went back and forth on ratings here, as there was some good and some not so good. In the end, we had a great time, so the extra star was added in for good measure. It was the second stop on a "visit places on Old Hickory Lake" tour. Probably my least favorite, but still worth the 4 stars (Moby Dick's was my number one). There are "two" restaurants here, or at least one restaurant with an outdoor bar that has a completely different vibe. The main indoor restaurant is found down closer to the water where the boat owners' parking is, while the outdoor bar is up higher and has gravel parking for the non-boat owners. The parking is a bit of a negative for me, as my car is low enough to scrap over the curbyou have to traverse to park. On the way out, I drove over by the stand where the hump was not as high to avoid a second beating on the bottom of my car. Yes, this is likely petty, so it is not heavy on my list of items. Initially, the bartender was a bit preoccupied and did not take notice of us sitting there, which was a bit off putting. But, after a bit of time, it was like being around old friends. Met with two local brothers who were a real hot to talk to. The only food I had was the cheese sticks, which are "world famous" and a bit too beer batter breaded for me, and some fried mushrooms. I am not as much of a fan of the horseradish dip, but your mileage may vary. As for drinks, the bushwhacker is what they are known for and it is quite tasty. They come out much thicker than most places and you can add a wide variety of toppers to customize. They also have a couple of pre-mixed drinks, the Island Girl and another I forget the name of (oops!). Both served in "buckets" (larger glasses that look like a small beach bucket). not sure if the glass is supposed to be a souvenir or not, but we did not take one with. The trick to Awedaddy's is GPS, as it is tucked away in a marina that you don't see until you are right up on it. Before you get there, you would swear you are in a residential area of the bustling metropolis (ha ha) of Gallatin. Once you are in, it feels like a completely different world. I don't live close, but I am sure I will be back at some point. read more

Lisa strikes again! She's rocked our Nashville trip with one great place after another. This is no exception. I told her I though they named the place by stuttering while trying to name the restaurant Daddy's. Lol. Fun place with cool unique menu options. I ate Nashville hot chicken and waffles. What a mouthful of deliciousness and a 1, 2 punch. Sweet and savory with a kicker of chicken and a gritty hot sauce. Yum. Lisa had the strawberry stuffed French toast which looked huge and tasted great. The other folks enjoyed a buffet, Bloody Mary bar, and eggs Benedict. All left satisfied. We ate outside and sat under a giant ceiling fan and even thought was hot and humid it did the trick. While at the marina or anytime, this place is legit. read more

Decided to go with chicken fingers because it sounded good. The chicken was delicious, well crisped and tender. I'm a sucker for good ranch and fries and both did not disappoint. It's surprising how hard it can be to find good chicken tenders and fries. Food was 5/5. The atmosphere was good as well. Nestled on the water with views as you eat. The outdoor seating was nothing spectacular but it was very enjoyable. Our waitress was very friendly and personable. I have been to Awedaddys several times before and will go back sometime. My last visit with my gal was after rush hour on the weekend and was less than stellar. The wait is always longer than normal, but that was expected. There is rarely any parking if that is expected and probably hoped for. We finally were seated at our table; it had not been cleaned, and that was not expected. The staff was understaffed and behind. When we finally received our food, it was at least average. We left feeling like we had over paid for average service and average food. We also agreed that we did not have to go back. I am sure there are other factors that always weigh in to the reason a restaurant is not what you remembered or hoped, for especially on certain days. But if you're going to have your doors open for business, you need to represent better than this occasion. read more

Staff was very friendly and attentive but unfortunately the food fell flat. I had the Cuban which was inedible. The bread, ham and pulled pork tasted off. Mentioned it to the server and she took it back and the manager said the ham was shaved that morning and they handed me my $44 check. Still had a great time with family and friends though.
