Stopped in on 10/10/25! These chocolates are so good! They sell a Dubai chocolate bar for $35 and single truffles for $7 but it is SO worth it! I bought the 6 pack and the Dubai chocolate bar as gifts for my family back home and they loved every truffle they tried! After everything, probably spent about $65 on chocolate but I would do it again in a heartbeat because it's a small business and it's so good! The service was great too! I would say their chocolates are appropriately priced for what you are getting! They have their set flavors and then a few seasonal flavors that switch up. Come in the morning for coffee, afternoon for a sweet pick me up, and at night for an unforgettable absinthe bar! I'm not the biggest absinthe fan but I loooove trying new things. The service was amazing as Emily was very professional and knowledgeable. She refilled my water many times throughout. I was also explained the entire process of how to make and enjoy quality chocolate - The French Press, Key Lime pie, Absinthe flavor, which was delish. Truffle & Wine/whiskey pairing. My wife and I recently dropped in for this pairing experience. She enjoyed three truffles selected by the chocolatier to be paired with the wines she selected while I enjoyed three different truffles to be paired with the whiskey/bourbon I selected. The truffles were phenomenal. Their unique and complex flavors were complimented with the drawn out with whiskey/bourbon. I chose the following bourbons which were paired accordingly: Rittenhouse Rye - chocolate peanut butter truffle Uncle Nearest 1856 - uncle nearest truffle Belle Meade Bourbon - bourbon praline truffle All were really enjoyable and solid pairings, but the Belle Meade paired with the bourbon praline truffle took the top spot for me. We chose the 5pm time slot and had the shop pretty much to ourselves. The service was wonderful, and we enjoyed chatting with chocolatier as we learned more about each pairing. My friend and I are on the search for the best hot chocolate in town, which lead us here. This is maybe one of the cutest storefronts that Nashville has to offer! We kept remarking how we felt like we were in Paris-- it was adorable and cozy. We both ordered hot chocolate and I was shocked to pay $7 for a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was certainly good, but nothing very unique (especially for $7). So, I DO like some of their chocolates quite a bit. But this visit to Tempered made me think that buying their products at other locations (their products are available in many stores now) is probably better? We stopped in as a group of 7 on Sunday after brunch at SILO. The employee behind the counter didn't seem very into us being in there as such a large group. We hadn't been in before, but he didn't really greet us or explain what they had. So, yeah, it took a while for us to order, because we didn't know anything about their products and he wasn't exactly helping out. We ended up trying a few of their beverages: drinking chocolate (way too rich for my taste) and the frozen hot chocolate (okay, but didn't love it). We also left with a few goodies each (I purchased a box of four truffles). The truffles I chose were okay (some better than others). I think they offer some really cool products, and I really like to support local companies like this. The three stars is more of a reflection of the fact that I just didn't really feel very welcome in the shop. read more

Last night I had the wonderful chance to assist to the Galentine's wine & chocolate pairing at the café. At what can i say, i don't have words enough to express how glad I am. Was the perfect night with one of my girlfriends enjoying a great wine selection perfectly paired with the delicious chocolate truffles. Every single bite was gorgeous. But probably my favorite was the cayenne one! That place is so cozy and welcoming that I would be there if I would live in the neighborhood, like if it would be my safe place. As good as the chocolate is... the service is NOT. Their sea salt dark chocolate caramels literally changed my life, and their Old Fashioned truffle is a triumph! But their service... Wow! I have never felt like such a burden as when I dared to walk in and interrupt the staffs conversation. My mother-in-law is in town and wanted to bring her family some treats back home. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with barely a glance and a lukewarm "hello". Two of the staff members vanished, as if by magic, while the third one tried to upsell us on every decision. She kept interrupting my MIL and seemed so irritated that it took us more than two seconds to decide on each truffle. As soon as my MIL's credit card cleared, the staff member walked to the back. I wanted to also purchase something, but I'm not a very confrontational person so I was ready to leave. Thankfully my MIL is from Chicago and called back "could we please get some more service?!" The staff member came back out, again clearly annoyed, and rung us up for another four pack of truffles. You don't have to be the friendliest person in the world, but at least be professional! was so shocked that I honestly would never go back there again and either purchase chocolate from a different company, or just order online. Tempered, please hire staff who can at least pretend like they enjoy their job because you have the best caramels ever! read more

Holy cacao!!! This place is a chocolate lover's dream. We came here on a cold December morning in search of a delicious cup of hot chocolate. And boy, did we come to the right place!! I ordered the drinking chocolate. It was sin in liquid form. Thick, smooth, rich, and had a perfect balance of chocolate and sugar. I highly recommend. The regular hot chocolate with hazelnut was good also, though for me, it didn't compare to that drinking chocolate!! Very neat little place. Stopped here on our last cold, rainy day in Nashville. Its a small little cafe in Germantown that has a few tables to enjoy coffees, chocolates, and food. Several of the tables were covered in staff items and t shirts that I'm assuming they were unpacking to put on the shelves. We skipped food as we had just finished brunch. I was hoping for affogato, but I was told that they didn't have enough ice cream so the tub was thrown out. I would have expected this type of place to make their own ice cream since they make all their chocolates. I decided on the drinking chocolate instead. Although I was disappointed that I didn't get affogato, the drinking chocolate was still amazingly delicious. I wish I had ordered a large! I didn't have anything else while in the cafe, but my sister purchased and sent me home with a peanut butter mug which was like a Reese cup on steroids. Yum! read more

This is such a cute chocolate cafe. The name says it all about their signature offerings. So I made this Costco error of giving away my husband's treasured Belgian Waffles never to see them again at Costco. And essentially the one main reason we ended up here was for the freshly baked Belgian Waffle. It's expensive at $7 for a single waffle but the sweet one is rich with the chocolate drizzle. There was a generous sprinkling of pearl sugars and the waffle was quite dense. A little too dense for my liking but I can see this work well as savory. It was good nonetheless. The drinking chocolate was delicious and I highly recommend this. Again not sure where else you get drinking chocolate but you want to have it here in Nashville. The sprinkle of salt balanced the flavors nicely. The rich chocolate flavors shone through every sip. It is quite rich and the 6 oz is a little bit of a sugar heart attack for single consumption, so we shared. We ordered the hellas sandwich which was okay. The baguette was soft and crunchy but the flavors were simple and kinda boring. Come to think of it, simplicity complemented the richness from the chocolate very well and perhaps it is not a bad thing. But I wouldn't order it again. If you check in with yelp you get two truffles and I am glad we got to choose. I went with what was recommended to me and chose the rosemary cayenne in milk chocolate truffle. I also got the rose dark in dark chocolate but the rose flavor didn't come through. Delicious truffles nonetheless and with all the exotic offerings I can't wait to try some more of the flavors. It's a cute date spot or a hangout venue with a very European cafe ambience. The service is wonderful. Our server was friendly and kind and given that the waffle, drinking chocolate and sandwich were all freshly prepared I look forward to bringing friends and family when they visit. read more

What a cute chocolate shop! Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed. They've been open for about 4 days now. The owner of the shop is super sweet and took the time to explain all the different types of chocolates. They have lots of free samples, all of which were delicious. There is seating in here and the ambiance is relaxed. We decided to get a box of 12 truffles, which came to about $17. The chocolate is smooth, not too sweet, and incredibly flavorful. These would make really nice gifts for any chocolate lover.
