We are new to Nashville area and looking for an authentic Vietnamese and Thai restaurant. Well we found our go to restaurant. Eden who took our order to the manager Mimi and staff were very kind. The food and flavors of each dish we ordered was deliciously. We ordered the Thai eggplant dish and Shrimp pho and Chicken phat Thai. The cost is comparable to all the restaurants in the area. Food was fantastic, but it's expensive for being in the heart of Tennessee. (Average strip mall style Thai restaurant, nothing fancy) For a normal size lunch serving, the curries and pad Thai were $16 with chicken. A beer lao is $7. For my wife and I, we spent $80+ on lunch. In addition to the steep prices, they automatically added a $12.12 (15%) tip to the bill. If that wasn't annoying enough by itself (tips should be optional and based on the service provided IMO), they have the audacity to add another tip line at the end of the receipt to tip the server. Food was really good, but keep that San Francisco style price gouging and tipping insanity where it belongs - in California. I'll take my Thai cravings elsewhere. There are several other good Thai restaurants in the area that are as good and more realistic in price. read more

Stopped in for some pho and left pretty satisfied overall. The food was good., flavorful broth, fresh herbs, and generous portions. Our server was also great: friendly, attentive, and really hustling. That said, she was the only one working the floor, handling dine-in customers, takeout orders, and even answering the phone. She did a solid job, but you could tell she was stretched thin. Definitely deserves some backup! Bubble tea was just okay--not bad, just nothing special. Supposed to be grilled beef with fried egg rolls served with light fish sauce dressing and noodles were supposed to be thinner, with that being said. Dressing seems like it would be for the egg rolls . The website stated it was wheelchair accessible but the entry has 2 doors and only had 1 door accessible, for our son's power wheelchair to enter the door which their website description is misleading . All the plants from the front entrance to the back of the restroom and I could go on with the PHO soup , that was ordered incorrectly for $20 Would like to just give this place with no star. read more

Wow, I was so disappointed in the food and this place has 4 stars so double downer. My daughter picked this place before we went to the Theatre. We shared Fresh rolls, gyoza, and I chose the Pho Chicken. Pho is in your name so I was so excited (love Pho!) but man.... The broth was so murky and was heavy on anise maybe? Just not the beautiful balance I've come to know. The noodles were not mushy so that was a plus. The gyoza was standard and actually kind of tough, but the sauce I dipped them in was good. The fresh rolls.....mainly lettuce and maybe in their defense it wasn't supposed to be like a summer roll, but there was so much lettuce I don't even remember any rice noodles. On the upside, the server was very nice and attentive. There were plenty of places to sit as well. BBQ pork Bao: I was so excited for these because they're my favorite and I have t had any around here, but found them to be a little disappointing. They were good, I love the fluffy bread, but the flavor wasn't super punchy and there was very little meat. Thai Red Curry w/ Vegetables: firstly, it came in the cutest pot ever. It was very good and I'm always happy when I can get a curry with all veggies and no tofu. I got medium heat (she asked if 2 or 3 was okay, and I said 3, but I did not ask for the scale haha) and it was just right, though my nose was already dealing with the cold, so maybe I should have gotten a two. I was on the hunt for some food on Easter Sunday and a lot of restaurants were closed for the holiday. I found Yummy Pho Bac and saw their online order menu was still available so I decided to order from them and I'm glad I did! I have now ordered takeout from them twice, and everything I've had has been really good. During my first visit I ordered Pad Kee Mao, which is really good. I also have tried their egg bao due to them being out of their bbq bao. That was surprisingly good as well. I plan on trying their boba tea sometime soon. This place is cute and clean on the inside. Not a bad spot at all. We came during lunch hours on a weekend, and it wasn't busy at all. We got in right away and there was probably another table or 2 in there when we were there. They have a variety of things on their menu. I started off with the dumpling. It was good. It was my favorite thing here out of everything that I tried. It was pretty meaty, steamed perfectly, and the sauce was good too. The next thing I tried was the pho beef combo. It wasn't bad at all. I also tried their papaya salad sampler. It came with papaya salad, sticky rice, and beef jerky. It wasn't bad at all. The sticky rice just wasn't very sticky. It was a little hard and falling apart. Other than that, no complaints at all. When I complained to the owner, she just brushed me off with a condescending "that's how it is," as if that justifies the complete rip-off. She doesn't give a damn about her customers and clearly has zero interest in improving anything. I picked up Yummy Pho Bac for a takeout dinner last night, and I was IMPRESSED. I ordered online through their website and paid when I picked up the order. It was ready even though I arrived a few minutes before the time I had selected for pickup! (The inside of the restaurant seemed really nice. It's small-ish, but they weren't too busy, so the tables were really spaced out. They had hand sanitizer stations at the entrance and at the bar where you order/pickup takeout.) We started with BBQ Pork Bao (2 pieces), which were great - that sticky, sweet sauce on that pork?! Yum. We also got the milk bao (2 pieces), which seemed to be plain steamed buns (good, but I definitely used them to sop up the yummy sauces). For our entrees, we started with the Red BBQ Pork with rice, which was served with sliced tomato and cucumber and a good sauce. The pork was a little on the dry side, but well flavored and still delicious. We also got the Ca Kho To (Vietnamese Caramelized Fish), which was delicious! The fish was scrumptious - but it had little tiny bones that you had to pick out. The dish was so delicious, I didn't even mind searching for the little bones. For our last entree, we tried the Pha Sexy (a deep-fried fish dish served with a great sauce). You can get the Pha Sexy two ways - as a whole red snapper or a tilapia filet. We ordered the tilapia filet version - which was great, even as a to go dish! They put the fish in its own container and the sauce on the side (so it stayed nice and crispy on the drive home)! Overall, the food was really excellent. I'm already scoping out the menu to see what I want to try next. Overall, very good Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese food. We'll be back soon! read more

This is just based on their to-go order, portions are skimpy and laughable. I travel and eat pho takeout alot so I'm okay with paying a premium price if it's worth it. Don't call it a Pho Dac Biet and charge $24 for the bowl if you are going to put close to nothing but noodles in it, order was also missing the rare beef steak that's suppose to be in it and the one meatball cut in half. I don't like that TN don't add noodles to their wonton. My friend had the Pad Thai and she wasn't too impressed either. Bathroom were clean. Service was blah and slow. I feel like it's hard to find good food in Mt Juliet but I think this is one of my favorites. The menu was pretty big from Thai food to Vietnamese food. I liked the fried shumai. This place is more of an Asian fusion place. Most of the people that were eating here didn't come for the pho. I came for the pho but I was really disappointed in it. The broth was seriously lacking flavor, it tasted watered down. It almost felt like I was eating one of the instant pho bowls. The consistency of the noodles felt off almost as if they were old or undercooked. I was excited for their fresh avocado shake, but that was also disappointing as well. It was overpowered by milk and it wasn't very sweet at all. The boba was awful. It was over cooked and super soft. If you love authentic pho soup, I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

If you love pho, then go to this place! I highly recommend their back rib pho, ox tail pho and crispy pork pho. Also, their calamari are big and crispy, not the small and shriveled ones, you often see at restaurants. If you really want to experience quality and authentic food, you should visit this place. This restaurant definitely deserves more attention. Thought it's they're a bit pricey compared to other Viet/Thai places out there, but I guess quality always comes with a price. read more

First Phò spot that I've tried in the Nashville area and I was pretty excited. Unfortunately, the night I went they had just ran out of both beef and chicken broth for the Phò so I had no other choice but to get the vegetable broth for my Phò dish. With that being said, that inconvenience really has no impact on my 3 star review. My wife and I ordered the Crab Rangoons as an appetizer and we both agreed it was little to cream cheesy and needed more crab. In addition, the sauce it was served with was very light and I expected it to be a little stronger. I also decided to order a Taro Boba Milk Tea after overhearing someone else in the restaurant tell a person they were dining with that it was a great choice. As much as I'd like to tell you that the beautifully displayed Boba tea was delicious, I simply can't. My Taro Boba Milk Tea was very watery and lacked the milky consistency. The Boba balls were overly sticky and there were large clumps of them stuck together making it very hard to get individual boba through the straw. The flavor of the Taro was OK but I'm used to it being quite a bit sweeter. I know some boba places let you choose the sweetness level and if this place had a sweetness level, I'd rate the tea at maybe a 3 or 4 out of 10. Lastly, my wife and I both ordered a Phò dish. I ordered the Phò Combo as always and my wife ordered the Chicken Phò. Outside of being a little thrown off by the vegetable broth flavor the Phò was good. Good amount of noodles and a solid portion of protein in both dishes. Staff was friendly, parking was easy, it wasn't super crowded on a Saturday night. read more

Anyways. Yummy Pho is amazing. This is a family owned restaurant with authentic dishes and unique tastes found nowhere else as the owners parents are the main cooks. My favorite dish is their Pad Thai. Also, there is nowhere I have found in town that has a plethora of Boba choices that taste so good. My favorite is the coffee and Tiger Brown Sugar. A friend and I went for lunch today and were VERY happy. I had the vermicelli with chicken and loved it! The veggie egg rolls were peppery and delicious, even my son loved them. I'm not sure he even realized it was cabbage and carrots inside! My friend and I shared some sort of cold ground chicken salad with cashews she loved it, I did not, but only because I'm not a fish eater and it had fish sauce. She ordered and thoroughly enjoyed her red curry and rice. (I had to try and loved it too.) Today is our 2nd time here. They are very new (like 1 week), and as is often the case with a new place, they are still hiring and still training staff. Their strictly Vietnamese food dishes are the best we have had In Nashville area. In addition to that opinion, we have to say that they are so friendly and welcoming. We are so pleased they are here in Mount Juliet. The Bahn Mi Sandwich is very tasty. We commented that this, and the pork fresh roll were our most favorite items. We learned that the Bahn Mi is the owner's mother's recipe and she works in the kitchen. We were told that Mom will be so happy to know her Bahn Mi was enjoyed :-) The Green Thai Curry was just okay. Probably not their forte. But that's typical for most restaurants... They have their specialties. This dish was so loaded with chicken, quite generous! The service is always great and they are very friendly. The only reason I am giving this restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think it is priced a bit high. What irks me is the fact that if your order is over $100 they don't give you a discount - THEY CHARGE YOU $20 MORE! For our family of 6 adults and 2 young children, the cost was over $250. Granted more crab rangoon and eggrolls were ordered than necessary, but adding that $20 - ridiculousness! One would think, the more you buy, the cheaper it would be. So it's back to Bangkok Thai in Lebanon from now on or any other multitude of similar restaurants in the area that don't participate is customer dis-service. Yummy Pho Bac - you blew it!
