This is a family-owned restaurant that serves authentic Vietnamese food with large portions and great service. The location offers plenty of parking with a disability-friendly entrance and a very chill ambiance. The restaurant was bustling, so I recommend arriving a bit early. My friend and I went for the first time and we were pretty impressed. The restaurant is small and clean. It was pretty packed and the service was great. Started off with egg rolls, it's bigger than normal and it was really good. The banh xeo was ok, I prefer it crispy with more filling. We really enjoyed the self wraps cause it had all the veggies, mango and even the crispy fried wrapping paper to go in it. I wasn't a huge fan of the peanut sauce. The chicken was flavorful and crispy but I didn't care for the rice as much. Got egg rolls and banh min to go, warmed it all in the air fryer and it was really good. I will not be returning. The service is nonexistent. If you have a party of over 2 people, good luck. And if the restaurant has more than a few tables, good luck. We waited so long for a drink order, the drinks, our food order to be taken, the food, just everything. I should not have been there for 2 hours with a party of 5. The service was so bad that I had to tell the server when and what plates to take away to clear the table. I literally handed everything to him to take away. We had to go get our own napkins in the bathroom cus there were no napkins or a server in sight. We had to ask the table that they sat very closely next to me for their condiments cus we didn't have any. The taller server with glasses acts like he hates his life. Do yourself a favor and don't ask him for anything cus you won't get it anyway. I also ordered food to go and they didn't even put it in with the kitchen. They kept saying I'll check on it. Never checked on it. After maybe 20 minutes, I eventually said I'm paying and need to leave. is it ready? That's when they finally checked on it and discovered it wasn't even submitted to the kitchen so I waited around even longer for nothing. As for the food, it was fine. Some stuff was good. Came in to try this recently opened viet restaurant in smyrna and I am honestly impressed, it was better than my expectations. We had the Bun dau mam tom, the Banh xeo, and the com tam dac biet. One thing I really appreciate is they give you plenty of greens and herbs for the banh xeo and the bun dau, so that was really good and fresh. The banh xeo batter was a little bit thick for my personal taste, I prefer it a little thinner, but the flavor was still there. The rice dish (com tam) was overall really good and I especially liked the shredded pork skin, it had great texture. Definitely a solid 4 star spot and a great addition to Smyrna. We will be back to try more of the menu. read more

Nice quaint restaurant with an up-beat vibe. I brought my wife here for her birthday/mother's day. Although we arrived early, this little restaurant was quite full of guests. With that being said, I did anticipate it would be a bit slower than the average. Due to the larger crowd, I feel like our experience was not as personable. We ordered the Bún bò Huế, gỏi cuốn and a bánh mì đặc biệt. Overall, the food was very good. My wife and I did not particularly care for the type of noodle in the Bún bò Huế. However, the broth was comforting and had a nice heat, and the servings were definitely plentiful. You can definitely tell that the food is very authentic and prepared freshly. So glad to finally get a viet place here in town. This might be the first one at all outside of Nashville that I'm aware of. I went in with high hopes and was not disappointed! Took some coworkers to check it out during lunch. I got the hu thieu nam vang, one guy got the buon bo hue, and the other got a banh mi. They both loved their food, as I did mine. For my dish, I thought the flavor of the broth was really good. They used the clear noodles, which I love, instead of the rice or egg noodles which most places use. The pork was very flavorful, though my only complaint is that there wasn't enough of it (maybe four small slices). Lúa Vietnamese Resturant in Smyrna absolutely blew us away. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and authentic, and the food completely exceeded expectations. We tried the Pho, Bánh Mì, and Cháo gio, and every single dish was packed with incredible flavor. You can truly taste the care and authenticity in every bite. The broth in the pho was rich and comforting, the bánh mì had the perfect balance of crunch and flavor, and the cháo gío was hands-down one of the most comforting and delicious dishes I've had from a Vietnamese spot. What really stood out was how everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared. It's rare to find a place where every dish hits, but Lúa Viet delivered across the board. We had ordered 2 banh mi's for to go through the phone at 7:43 and they had said it'll be a 25 min wait. We arrive there after 30 min and they had said it'll be coming out soon but we waited a whole hour and had watched a table come in after us, ate and left. Mind you it wasn't busy either but it did seem like there was a rush when we got there which we understood and waited patiently. But whole time we waited there were 3 table max. When we had asked again after an hr had passed since we had called in, they said they were just now making them. It took another 10 min before we received our food around 9 pm, 30 min after closing! I don't understand how 2 banh mi's took over an hr long to make! Customer services lacked urgency and communications skills. Really disappointing experience overall, the service was slow and unresponsive. Multiple servers walked by our table and only stopped by once to ask if we were doing ok, and when they did it was because they forgot to put in an order(everyone else was already finished with their meals by the time mine came out). The food itself was mediocre as well and came out at different times, some of the people in my group were already finished with their meals as some just got their food. Keep in mind it wasn't too busy. The actual price of the food was quite expensive too, 2 apps and 2 entrees for about $70. All in all its a new Viet spot in Smyrna, but there are way better Vietnamese spots if you're ok with driving a while longer to Nashville. This was our second time here to try and give it another shot but not much has changed. read more
