We usually DoorDash from Viet Tea Cafe, and overall it's a solid go-to. The mochi donuts are AMAZING! The pho has great flavor, but the noodles are a bit too cooked by the time it's delivered. They tend to break easily and get soggy. I usually transfer the pho to my own bowl at home, and I think slightly undercooking the noodles would really help it hold up better for delivery. The fresh spring rolls are good, but I'd love to see more of the other ingredients and less noodles inside. The sauce is really good. The taro boba with coconut milk is hands-down the best drink! It's creamy, flavorful, and not too sweet. I haven't tried adding extras yet, but I'd prefer an option to add extra boba from the app next time. When I got there late afternoon on a Saturday, it was somewhat busy, some families and a few groups of friends. There was a line to order. Seems like it is family owned and there wasn't a lot of staff. The cashier was also bussing tables and serving the food. The staff seemed friendly and hardworking. They have a little water station that you may help yourself to throughout your meal. I ordered the Viet Tea Trio (appetizer, entrée, & drink) with a Beef Pho, Pork fried egg rolls, and a rose milk tea. They had a variety of milk teas and matcha flavors along with many toppings (i.e. boba). The beef pho was full of flavor. The beef was tender and cooked through, brisket cut. The egg rolls are crunchy and come with a sweet kind of chili sauce. They also have hoisin or sriracha sauce on the tables if you would like to add more flavor to your food. The tea was delicious, though on the sweet side. I like sweet, but let the staff know if you would like it less sweet (25/50/75%). The whole meal was quite filling. It was a bit loud, which is fine, but the kitchen is just behind a curtain so you can sometimes hear the clanking of pots and dishes. But overall a nice experience. read more

I miss the old set up where you would walk in and order from a counter in the back. Now, when you walk in, the counter is right at the door which gets crowded quickly. The food is yummy but pickup time isn't accurate more times than it is. Quite often I'm waiting an additional 20+ minutes with an item missing. The ambiance is ok just overwhelming when you're trying to get in but the front door is crowded. Bad spot for the counter, honestly. This small shop has been on my TO TRY list for some time now. Today I had a bit of time and decided to drop in. I was thrilled to see they offered a variety of drinks and boba. I decided to order a sweetened ice latte with black sugar syrup and boba and for my meal I ordered a BBQ Pork Banh Mi, and also order some donuts to go (Dubai chocolate, Biscoff cookie, and Oreo). Stopped in here for a hot soup on a freezing day. It's a tiny shop and was very busy. Unfortunately, the service was struggling to keep up it looked like one person was handling everything from taking orders to waitressing, which led to long wait times. The Beef Pho was okay, but nothing spectacular. The biggest downside is the seating; because the place is so small, the line of people waiting for takeout is standing right over you while you eat. This is closer to a 5 than a 4. I think one of the better banh mi places near by without driving hours to a major city. When I crave good Vietnamese food I head out to Hans. Personally I think the shop here taste better than the one in the Assembly hall. It's quaint and cute inside. Free lemon water and great service low pressure joint. The menu is small but still has a good selection. Their noodle soups and banh mi are why I go but it's arguable depending on who you go with. As soon as I entered I was met by a selection of interesting pastries, all of various flavors and colors! - I realize I should write these reviews when they're fresh so I remember them better but the donuts weren't like normal donuts. I think they were like rice based instead of like yeast I think? very fluffy and delicious- The service was great from the staff, we ended up showing up at the start of the dinner rush and being able to stay to watch how busy this place gets and how hard the staff work. They seemed to have more people take out from there rather than dine in (probably due to the small amount of seating). We ordered a passion fruit boba drink, which we were excited about but it was SO sweet we barely drank any of it. There were other customers there who also left their mostly full drinks on the table when they left. If you MUST have pho and you don't have another option, this will do. I am a bubble tea snob and I also want to have my own bubble tea business in the future. I'd say this is one of the best bubble tea spots in the US. The boba was cooked perfectly. Well, this is so personal since people like the texture of the boba in a different way. The boba stayed soft even it passed 2 hours grace period. I give that two thumbs up. The concentration of their classic tea is perfect. Not too weak and not too strong. The variety of drinks on the menu are a plus. A bit hard to make a decision when you purchasing it at the restaurant because there were so many options. I wish they would have a wider range of sweet levels rather than less sweet or 100% sweet for some of the drinks. I know you can do 0% sugar for Strawberry Matcha through Uber Eats. After my first time coming here I can genuinely say I'm in loveeeee!! This place is so so cute and the people were so kind, despite being slammed when we got there. I got the black sugar crema latte with regular boba, the beef pho and shared the fried pork egg rolls with my boyfriend. Everything was incredible. I've never had such a flavor packed broth in my life!! We even picked up an mochi ube waffle, some mochi donuts and an egg tart to take home and everything was so soft and chewy and delicious. If this place needs anything, it's just a bigger space to accommodate how many people were coming in every couple minutes to get something. I came across Veit Café on TikTok and tried it tonight. When we arrived around 8:10 pm, I was really impressed with how many great options they had on the menu. I even mentioned to the lady taking our order that it was our first time and how excited we were to try it! My boyfriend and I ordered two pho soups, donuts, and two teas... spending about $75. We sat down, the same lady who helped us told us at 8:15 that she was bagging everything to-go and that we couldn't eat inside. That part was really frustrating, especially since nothing was mentioned at the time of ordering. I completely understand if dine-in closes earlier than the kitchen, but a simple heads-up would go a long way. The restaurant was still open for another 45 minutes, so it was disappointing to find this out after we had already paid and settled in at our table. Communicate to your customers. You can get combos that include a entree choice appetizer and your choice of drinks. They also have a awesome bakery with mochi donuts, Vietnamese flan, and other treats all displayed next to the register. The bakery is very popular as it was picked over when we arrived. We ordered some tasty fried chicken appetizers which have a spicy kick, a bowl of the wonton soup which was delicious, a bbq pork Bahn Mi that came on heavenly fluffy airy chewy bread, a bbq pork rice bowl which was a tad bit sweat but tasty, and Vietnamese flan which was a scrumptiously light and perfect little palette cleanser at the end! The establishment is super small but I heard they're opening a location inside of fifth and Broadway which is exciting! The Beef pho was missing some spices, bbq chicken bao buns tasted like they've been in the freezer for too long as well as rock hard (over cooked) and dry. I had bookmarked Han's Banh Mi & Pho before I flew into Nashville. It was a part of my never-ending research for good eats in a city that I had never been to. After seeing a matinee at a nearby AMC, I had planned to get some food at Han's for lunch. It's located in a plaza. I found a parking spot fairly close to the eatery and parked. I walked over. To my dismay, there was a sign saying that it was on vacation till July 7th. It was July 7th. Ugh! I was persistent. I came back the following day for a late lunch. It was open. I was elated. I was greeted immediately by a friendly woman. The idea is that you order at the counter and state your first name. You pay and then get a marker if you are dining in. Otherwise, if it's takeout, you simply wait. The menu has banh mi, pho, snacks, bubble tea, and more. The beef pho caught my attention, so I ordered it. I also got a strawberry fruit tea with lychee jelly. I paid with a credit card. I also tipped. All was great. There isn't any air conditioning in this eatery. However, there was a super powerful fan that cooled the place down in the corner. It was pleasant dining here the entire time. My bubble tea came first. I did normal ice and sugar. It was a bit sweeter than what I normally order, but the sweetness wasn't gross. I loved it. The lychee jelly was awesome. It was excellent and was perfect on a hot day. My pho came to me next. My beef pho came in a stainless steel (I'm guessing) bowl. The extras (bean sprouts, mint, lime wedge, sliced hot peppers, and a soup spoon) came in a recyclable tray. The pho is excellent, er, pho-nominal, really. The rice noodles were perfect. The onions were paper-thin and yummy. I loved the green onions and the broth was incredible. The slices of beef were also thin and yummy. I added the bean sprouts and mint in my bowl of soup, and squeezed the lime wedge. I absolutely loved my pho here. I was so impressed with my meal that I decided to get some food for dinner. I ordered the combination banh mi and a mango fruit tea with popping boba. I paid and tipped again at the counter, and sat down to wait for my takeout order. It didn't take long for my food to arrive. I had a nice chat with the woman who helped me with both orders. I let her know that the food was excellent. She was happy and said that it's a family-run businesses that used to be a bakery only, but went with a different business model instead. It works! I thanked her and left with my food. I had it when I got back to the hotel. The bubble tea was excellent. The mango fruit tea was flavourful and refreshing. I loved the popping boba, which made drinking this tea enjoyable and fun. To me, I have never see the ends of a banh mi cut off. I was thinking that my mom would have been upset seeing them gone, for she loves the ends. The combination banh mi was packed full of sliced proteins, pickled carrots and daikon, yummy mayo, and more. What makes this sandwich different is that gravy is added, which made this sandwich moist, but not soggy. It was excellent. The banh mi has a different spin on ones that I have enjoyed in the past. I loved it. Han's is such a gem. I'm so glad that I had two meals from this eatery, not consciously realizing that I kind of made up for dropping by while the restaurant was on vacation. Great hidden gem that was introduced to me by a friend! I've been in this plaza before but I've always walked past so I'm glad I tried it. The beef Vietnamese pho was pretty good! I love the amount of scallions and onions and the broth is super flavorful. I highly recommend this item if you eat beef! If not, then they do have the chicken pho, but I haven't tried that yet. Portion size is pretty good! For drinks, I got the Vietnamese coffee and it was a little too sweet. That's on me though, I should've said less sugar so I will try that next time. Han's, known previously by the name of Baker Boss, is a small cafe located in South Nashville. They serve Banh Mih, Noodle Soups, Boba Tea, and Coffee. Their food is of high quality and service is exceptional! The Vibe: Super causal. You go to place the order at the counter and they bring you the food to the table. There's self serve water on the side and they clean off the tables after you're done eating. Staff is super knowledgeable about the menu and can easily guide you in the right direction when ordering if you ask them questions. The staff are also diligent about keeping the small restaurant neat and tidy. This is part of a strip mall so parking isn't an issue. Earl Grey Milk Tea: Solid milk tea at a very reasonable price! The earl grey was seeped perfectly so that it had the right amount of flavor without bitterness. I got less sweet so it was the perfect quantity of sugar with this. The brown sugar boba I added was the cherry on top. Signature Pork Banh Mih: Yum! The pork was evenly spiced and succulent. There was also a large amount of pork in the sandwich which made it a very filling meal. The carrots, cucumbers, jalapeños and spicy mayo elevated the taste and blended with the meat very well. The food is great, the service is horrible. Placed a door dash order for a beef noodle SOUP. The beef comes with rare beef and beef brisket, I specified I only want rare beef only. When I got my order the broth to the SOUP was missing. I called and explained that I put a door dash order in and the broth was missing. The girl who answered clearly was young and I'm not sure if she had any customer service experience because when I was explaining the issue her response was "oh I don't know anything about that order" I was a bit confused because you can go back and look at the door dash order. Then she asked for an order number so I gave it to her. She then proceeds to tell me "oh you ordered rare steak only" I said yes that is correct, I didn't want the brisket I wanted the rare steak only. She said oh when you order like that it's confusing. My response was "I'm ordering a SOUP, doesn't the broth automatically come with it? Cause everything else came with bowl just not the broth which makes no sense" she then says "sorry about that" and hangs up. The absolute worst customer service ever. Although the food is good, service is huge in whether or not a business makes it.
