Charlotte Pike is a location where there are tons of Vietnamese restaurants. You have Kien Giang, Miss Saigon, VN Deli, Huong Tofu, and TN Pho. So you have plenty of choices. This is my favorite. The place is nothing to write home about, so you won't hear a lot about the atmosphere, other than it is authentic. The service is ma & pa style, with one person handling all of the orders. You pay at the counter after dinner. This was once cash only, but they added cards a few years ago. This is not just for the Pho, although the broth is rich and very satisfying. It is also for the items you don't normally find in non-traditional Vietnamese joints, like the Vietnamese pancakes. No, you won't find high end, like the one in Chicago, which really blends French and Viet cuisines, but this place is on point. The menu is exgtensive, so rather easy to find something you will like and big enough to come back to try things you never tried before. I have had better pho in my life, but you end up traveling to Round Rock, TX for Pho Huong or to Oklahoma City (they have a whole community not too far west of the Capitol Building. For here, this is the bomb. This time I had make your own Pho with the steak, flank, and meatballs. If I have one complaint, I prefer the beef to come out raw and let it lightly cook in the broth. I also grabbed some rolls to dip into the Pho Broth. In the past, I have grabbed the pancakes, which are also large and very tasty. Definitely a bit of the French crepe kind of feel, with an Asian flair. I did not get one, but they also do a basic bahn mi for $6.50, although I slightly prefer Huong Tofu on this particular item. If you have a party menu that is vegetarian, Kien Giang is an excellent choice, as they have a fairly extensive set of vegetarian choices. read more

The waitress gave amazing recommendations which seemed to be genuine and thought out. She cared about what we were eating and our overall experience. The food was very well priced and came out in big portions. The quality and flavors of the food were absolutely there. The black bean dessert option was also delicious and a great way to end the meal. It's definitely on my girlfriend's and my return list! Not sure what the Influencers on Tik Tok experienced when they went but it was not that for me. I did however experience what one Lady said about her wishing they gave her more Meat. When you have to look for the Meat even in a small bowl there may be a ptoblem. I also tried the Spring Rolls and upon first bite you could tell they were not fresh. What absolutely finished my Meal was the guy at the counter digging in his nose. I immediately got up left the 1 1/2 eaten Spring Rolls and the very mid Pho, paid the Tab and left. The Gentleman with the Beard was great and gave great service. I even left him a $5 tip at the Table. He shouldn't have to suffer for what looked like the owner relieving his nose of hardened mucus. Super Tasty Vietnamese Food! I visited for weekday linch and had a great meal. The restaurant has table service, but no fountain drinks. So, sodas are served in cans. The food I tried delivered excellent flavor. I started with the Vietnamese Pancake with Pork & Shrimp. It had a velvety custard flavor that was both sweet and savory. The bean sprouts added cru ch and the proteins delivered the right amount of fat to make each bite delicious. I highly recommend the pancake as a complete meal for 1 person or as an appetizer for up to 4 people. The Steak and Meatball Pho was a great entree. Hot, fresh, flavorful, and a large portion size. This food is A1!! The summer rolls are packed with flavor and are served piping hot and fresh. The Bún bò Huế is ! I requested mine to have beef brisket without the pig feet and blood. One of my favorite spots in Nashville for Vietnamese food. We haven't been here in years due to their customer service, but decided to come back and try it again since I missed their food. I'm glad we came back! Our server did a great job! He was very nice and polite. Kudos! Food is still good! I haven't had anything that I didn't like here. I've liked everything I've ever tried here. I really like how their tables have all of the condiments and sauces on it. At other places, I always have to ask for sauces that I need. The garnish came out on a big plate. That was nice to have. At some other places, sometimes you get only a little plate of basil and bean sprouts that you have to share and make it work between everyone. So I'm glad they gave us a good amount of garnish. Excellent pho and soups, fresh perfect spring rolls. I've tried some of their simmered curry, stir fry, and meatball dishes and they were all very tasty and relatively inexpensive. The rice and pork platter is a real winner as well, especially the pork skewered with lemongrass. The real star for me is their Cô Bò Lá Lốt, and it's one of my favorite dishes in town. I don't think that any of the other four Viet places nearby serve it. Very unique and fragrant grilled rolled leaf beef dish with vermicelli, herbs, and pickled veggie. Try it and you'll thank me later. Also, their Vietnamese specialty beverages never disappoint. My favorite is the salted lemonade. I can't remember the Vietnamese names but the Stir Fry Beef with Vermicellie with a special house special sauce (No 8) which is $7.95 has become one of my favorite dishes here. 2 pcs of egg rolls with sauce is $2.50, and the plate of 6 pcs of Wontons for $4.50 came perfectly crispy with some dipping sauce too. This time, instead of the Pho, I decided to try the $11.95 Garlic Shrimp with rice and i was not disappointed! All the Bubble Teas are $3.50 with just fc$a small scoop of tapioca pearls and they even have a Herbal drink which is a full cup of all kinds of interesting things like beans, longans, seaweed etc served ice cold. My daughter's loves their Pho. COVID precautions: It was very empty during the time we were there. But we noticed mainky pick up orders so there wasn't much to be worried about since there was ample space.
