My friend and I went here on a whim before seeing Mirador at the Belcourt theater. We wanted…read morenoodles, and figured this was going to be just another noodle bar but to our surprise, it was an authentic Chinese restaurant. Nobody was inside, it was just the two of us. Very quiet. The owners spoke little English, but the food was amazing! I highly recommend going.

The daughter was eager to bring me to Meet Noodles. She was so happy to have found a place that…read moreserved Chong Qing Broth and Sliced Noodles which she missed from her undergraduate years in Hawaii. It was an interesting restaurant as we walked in. The decor didn't come across as Chinese. I'm glad my daughter was familiar with the place because I would not have known to go to the back counter to order. I tried asking a couple things about the menu but could not understand the worker that well. It seemed that he couldn't understand me either because he initially put in the wrong orders -- my daughter caught it before we paid. Very reasonable prices. I ordered the Roast Duck Noodles with the Marinated Egg added. My daughter got her usual "Build a Bowl" of Chong Qing Broth, Sliced Noodles, Steak and Fried Egg. I thought I had ordered a Shrimp Wonton appetizer, but a bowl of soup arrived. After asking the worker about it, he just kept saying it was soup (I know), so I just left that alone. Overall quite delicious -- very authentic Chinese flavors. Excellent house made noodles. The depth of flavor in the broths was fantastic. The proteins were seasoned nicely and cooked well. The bok choy in my soup still had a nice bite. The fried egg was crispy on the edges and perfectly runny in the middle. Unfortunately, I found the marinated egg too salty. Service was minimal -- after ordering, the food comes out and that's it. If you need something, you have to get up to ask. No one checks in. The area wasn't busy when we arrived, so parking was very easy right in front. I'm told it does get tough during peak times. I would definitely return for the food, not the service.

We ordered chicken and mushroom dumplings, hot and sour soup, and some boba teas. If you visit Dumpling House, you absolutely have to order the chicken and mushroom dumplings! They are hands-down the star of the menu. The dumpling skins are rolled perfectly thin with just the right amount of chew. Inside, the filling is incredibly flavorful and savory--the earthy richness of the mushrooms blends beautifully with the tender, juicy chicken. Every single bite is packed with delicious, piping-hot broth. You can tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients instead of just heavy seasoning. The dipping sauce complements them perfectly, too.The service was fast, the staff was welcoming, and the entire dining experience was wonderful. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

I like all the different tea and dumplings they have. I'll be back again to try the pan seared with dumpling sauce.

I wavered between a 3 or 4 star review for this restaurant so take that as you will. This place has…read morewon many awards and was "good". I have eaten Thai from Washington state to Florida and everything in between. I always get chicken pad Thai as a barometer to compare between restaurants. I can't believe it but the very best Thai restaurant I have experienced is in Frankfort Ky. I'm spoiled so even a "good" experience isn't going to rank as high. This is a really cute restaurant and from the parking lot I knew it was a local favorite. Chicken and cabbage dumplings were excellent. Pad Thai was good, as mentioned. The sauce wasn't very flavorful and while I like onions, this dish had A LOT. Red and green onion and not consistently chopped. The green onions were very large, fibrous pieces that were difficult to eat. I also like the egg component but this dish had a lot of egg and seemed to be a large filler. We also had the pad see ew with chicken. Also good, but not outstanding. The service was top notch and the restrooms were very clean.

I'd definitely recommend dining in - we went in on a rainy Thursday around 6 and it was already packed, but a table for two opened within about five minutes. Service is great and food hits the table quickly. We started with the fresh rolls, chicken and cabbage dumplings, and the tom kha. We added a side of peanut sauce, which was a game changer for the fresh rolls. The tom kha was a little tart for my taste, but was loaded with veggies that were cooked perfectly. The dumplings were super tender, and the fresh rolls are my favorite in town! For entrees, we got the pad thai and pad see-ew with rice noodles. Both absolutely delish, and we loved how the pad see-ew was prepared simply and traditionally with Chinese broccoli. Those portions are not to be reckoned with... we ended up taking two boxes full of noodles home! Their sticky rice with mango was our favorite bite of the night. The rice was the PERFECT texture, in a not-too-sweet sauce, topped with toasted coconut, and the juiciest, sweetest mango. What a treat.
