Tom Kha Kai Soup
Anita M.

Went on a weekend right before the dinner rush and was met with quick and friendly service! The place is bright, clean and inviting. The menu has a lot of speciality sushi, some pretty creative rolls! I enjoyed my pho and also had a tom Kha as my appetizer. Yes I had soup and soup- I don't mind as I happen to love soup. My only wish was that there was more acidity and sourness to the Tom Kha, it was a bit too sweet and more coconut than I prefer. My boyfriend enjoyed his beef fried rice with medium spice. He thought the spice level was perfectly enjoyable (the step before it becomes hard to enjoy lol) As we were finishing up, the place got pretty busy and filled up to 75% capacity. Prices were cheap to average. I'd be interested in coming back to try some more sushi and Thai dishes on my next visit!

Cute interior decor!!

The food is so good here, and so is the service!!! They're always nice. The food presentation is great and so is the interior design, everything is very cute and yummy. 10/10 so bussin (the thai tea here is so good)

Pad Thai Noodle Lunch

I ordered pad thai here through ubereats, and it was not the best experience. The pad thai completely lacked flavor. Most pad thai dishes have a little sweet/sour kick to it, but this pad thai simply did not. I was so disappointed and couldn't even finish all of it. It kind of felt like someone just threw in some chili powder for spiciness and forgot to add that sweet tangy flavor. It was also very dry :(

Yoshi Pho

This is the cleanest and most flavorful Thai restaurant around. They even delivered it to my door in Under 30 minutes. Piping hot and perfectly seasoned Yoshi Pho. NOT too salty like some of the others in the area. I am looking forward to enjoying this many times over... What a great find! I can hardly wait to try their other dishes. This one is top shelf. Thank you Yoshi!

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I went based on the reviews from Yelp. The food was good. They offer a variety of "Hot" levels. My friend ordered a level 3 and it was super hot. (Keep that in mind when ordering). It was hard for us to enjoy the food and atmosphere because of all the gnats. I was worried the gnats would get into my food or glass of wine. It was a lot! We ate really fast and fanned gnats in between bites. Because of the gnats, I couldn't enjoy the overall experience. I probably will never go back.

Fried Crab Rangoon

Great food and even better service. The staff was very welcoming and friendly! The feeling inside is happy and spacious. Coworkers and I originally went to the thirsty turtle but after being ignored and neglected we headed here. Immediate service with a smile and good food will keep us coming back for more

I ordered the Drunken Noodles with the combination of steak, chicken and shrimp. First thing I noticed was most of the noodles were just little pieces. Then as I started eating I bit down and the shrimp still had the tails on them! I spit it out and went to get the rest out to take the tails off. There was only 1 other small shrimp, 2 shrimp total!! That is pretty ridiculous in my opinion! I continued eating and half way through I bit down on a hard, bone like, chunk. It hurt my tooth so I just threw the rest away that is pictured. First and last time I will ever eat at Yoshi. Eat at your own risk of being disappointed!!

Hubs and I always have a hard time agreeing on food choices, but we may have found our new favorite place! Drove by here today looking for PS Noodlepot, but were very happy to find Yoshi Sushi and Thai in its place! Food was so delicious and flavorful! I tried Panang curry for the first time and loved it! Really good and interesting mix of flavors! My husband had the chicken Pad Thai and really enjoyed it! He couldn't finish the whole meal - there was so much food! We shared the spicy salmon roll and the crunchy crab role and they were both delicious! Everything seemed very fresh and flavorful! Very happy to have good sushi in our area! If I HAD to say anything negative about the place, I would say be prepared for the smell when you first walk in the door. It's right next to a nail salon, and the aroma is a little over powering at first. I became acclimated to it after a few minutes, and was no longer bothered by it. But other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to go back and try more things!! I am going to make sure I save room for the fried bananas next time!

Very good Thai restaurant--perhaps the best one I tried in Nashville, TN area. If I lived around here, I would eat at this place quite regularly, alas we live good 1 hour away. We happened to stay in Antioch over the weekend. When I searched for places to eat our dinner, this place was one of the closest ones from where we were staying. It's tucked away in a very non-descriptive shopping strip. In fact there was a laundromat two store front away. It's an interesting deco inside--sushi counter top-refrigerator is prominent and catches your eye first (cf. photo). There's a huge exhaust ventilator roof over the stove top. Walls are painted mint green. There must have been about 12 tables in this small place. Food was very good. I tried their Lard Na since I really can't handle too much heat. I added some red pepper flakes and red pepper jam for my chicken on the side. The serving portion was very generous. My wife ordered her usual Pad Thai with mild heat. It was almost too hot for her. I tried it myself, and it was very good heat for me. I have to remember not to order anything beyond mild here. Our server was very courteous. Service was very prompt--our food came up very quickly. It was a very nice dining experience in this very unassuming Thai restaurant.

The…read morebase of vegetable broth mixed with coconut milk was creamy yet not heavy (with a blend of yellow and red curry spices, according to the menu -- sadly I am not that well versed in curries!). The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the tofu was browned to perfection. The grilled broccoli and cauliflower were snappy and contrasted well with the rest of the ingredients. The dish had a spicy yet tolerable kick to it, but I have a very high threshold for spice and heat (I added chili oil to take it up a notch!). Also, the portion size is BIG. I was very hungry so I had no issues finishing most of it, but it could easily be shared between two adults, especially if you order an appetizer or side. I loved the interior decor, which was simple yet eye catching. The mural encompassing the entire space in particular looked really cool. The place was packed, but the friendly staff were hustling to keep the line moving.

The hardest part about eating at Degthai is beelining to the Tiew Gang Vegan. (BTW, I am not Vegan, yet I LOVE the Tiew Gang Vegan.) They do everything well - the other curries, the standard noodle dishes, the dumplings - and it can be tempting to just go with your regular go-to dish like Pad Thai w/Chicken (BORRRINGG, but they do it well nonetheless.) You've gotta try the Tiew Gang Vegan. It's truly a once-in-a-year of eating out experience finding a dish this incredible. It competes pound-for-pound in the same heavy hitter weight class as the best Pho, Ramen, Jjamppong, or Beef Noodle Soup you've ever had. I've now been to Degthai 10 times, and have gotten the Tiew Gang Vegan the last 5 times in a row.

I'm not saying it as good as my mamas cooking but it's almost as good if I'm looking for something that's hard to make hard to find that you may have seen at some party you went to this is the place to stop at. About 30 min outside of Nashville city center but totally worth the trip! Family owned and operated for over a decade+, they have a strong local following so it was nice to see a packed house of repeat customers despite the icey cold weather! They had been closed for a few days due to really harsh winter weather conditions so I was so happy to see them open this day! Ordered a bit of everything since my stomach could not decide on just one thing as everything on their menu all sounded so appetizing! Ordered the fried appetizer sampler, I was solo dining but this was definitely enough for 2-4 ppl to share. Wasn't in the mood for noodles but ordered a bowl of just the pho broth. The broth was very rich, a tad too salty and a bit too much cinnamon for my taste but it still warmed me right up! For lunch the pork laap salad with a side of sticky rice at a level 5 spicy was just pure perfection. The balance of flavors was spot on and the kick of heat from the spice level really took it to a notch! Also ordered their whole fried fish of the day and it was beautiful crispy on the outside and tender white flesh on the inside. I will for sure be back here to try their other dishes when I'm back down in the Nashville area for work!

Saw this place was highly recommended so my husband and I decided to place an order. I figured I'd go with things that are staples and almost impossible to mess up since I'm not familiar with them. I got Tom Kha soup, Thai salad and mango sticky rice. My husband also got us crab Rangoon to share. I love Nashville and the people but I have no clue wth yall are use to eating out there giving this place dang near 5 stars. This was theeeeeeeee worst Thai food I've ever had in my entire life! Initially I was pissed at the portion sizes and then when I tasted the food I was like well hey I guess I can at least feel better now about trashing it. I'm still baffled about how you can literally screw up 3 of the basic Thai dishes that I ordered. They are normal staples! If you follow me and look at my reviews you will see my orders of these same items from multiple restaurants and none of them look like this, nor are the portions as skimpy. You guys are not being given the true Thai food experience eating this mess and they are ripping you off with the portion sizes. I've traveled all over and they even give you better food and more of it for the same price in Hollywood! So here's what was wrong. 1. The Tom Kha was flavorless and overly salty. You couldn't taste the lime leaves, Galangal or lemon grass. There were no scallions or onions. The bowl came half full and there was literally 3 pieces of tofu in it and two slivers of mushrooms. Not one scallion or onion. It was HORRIBLE! The salad, again trash portion size. The lettuce had a nasty bitter taste and the dressing was just as nasty. It did not taste like the traditional fresh ginger dressing. It was pungent and bitter. The crab Rangoon. It's not supposed to be tough and chewy with a runny hot melted cheesecake inside like this! It's not a hot pocket! It's supposed to be light, flaky and crispy with a more firm inside and visible imitation or real crab meat. The texture is everything and that's part of what makes crab Rangoon taste so good. This was not it! Lastly the mango sticky rice. That was the least horrible part of the meal and it still wasn't good. It was just edible due to the fresh mango. The mango sticky rice is supposed to be drizzled with a creamy coconut milk sauce, this was drizzled with some watery looking mess. Bottom line Nashville you are being slighted. This absolutely is not real Thai food. I'd sooner eat a bag of chips before I'd ever order from here again. I will be praying for a better business to open up shop in the area to serve you better quality Thai cuisine.
