My friends and I got lunch here on a weekday. We were pretty easily able to get a table for the big group of us. Our server was great and was very helpful with us choosing what we wanted for our meals. I got the Hosomaki Combo with a Salmon Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. It's one of their lunch specials. My boyfriend also got their lunch special Shrimp Drunken Noodles. My sushi was good, but a little on the expensive side even for the lunch special. The Drunken Noodles didn't have very much flavor or any spice at all and also was a smaller portion since it was the lunch size which made it expensive as well. Not totally worth the price for everything in my opinion. The vibe and ambiance of the restaurant is great though, and it was a pretty easy place to go for a lunch in the middle of the work day. Parking is really easy with a large lot right out front which is always a huge plus!

This place is a great place to bring a date... If that's your thing. The lighting says, hey, would you like to spend at least $60! And I answered, absolutely. The server was fantastic and so was the food. I had crab Rangoon and green curry, with a perfectly made Arnold Palmer to wash it all down. Although the curry wasn't really spicy, being their spiciest level, it was still spectacular. I'd come again.

Nice vibes inside. Service was so-so. Food and drinks came out fast. Only lost a star as previous reviews mention small portions and I found it to be true for what we ordered. They give you the smallest serving of rice, I'd say the amount i usually serve to my 5yo at home, think a kids scoop of ice cream. BUT, on the plus side, now I have some curry for lunch tomorrow.

I have also tried the Franklin location and both are EXCELLENT. we were served by Cameron and she treated us like royalty and made our anniversary so special. I can't stress enough how nice it was to feel cared for. All the kudos!! And the food? So so good, the wok edamame was out of this world. Everything about this experience was perfect.

Me and my sister had a great time! Jerrod was our server and he was super helpful and patient. The food was delicious and for the ambience alone it's definitely worth a visit!

Stopped in to Eastern Peak this past Sunday. First time in and a great visit ! Sat at the bar and great service! Started off with the lettuce wraps and then had a couple of sushi rolls the TNT and Ref Dragon both very fresh and flavorful! The place was super clean noticed the health dept scores 98/100 wow!!

The sushi here is soooo delicious! I haven't had 1 bad roll here so if you do visit, try them alll!! They are all good!

Pad Thai - sauceless and bland

Gave up on them a year ago, I decided to give the Eastern Peak takeout another try tonight. I immediately remembered why I stopped eating here. Bland, tasteless, and zero love or care put into the food.... The dumplings were missing, there was no sauce on the pad Thai, no peanuts, and no egg - it was just overcooked noodles and chicken?, Rice box was half filled and overcooked, red curry was meh, sushi was tiny. Never felt more like a restaurant didn't care... at all. Don't trust the pictures on here, what you see is not what you get. Go to one of the 30+ other Thai or sushi options

The Eastern Peak has delicious Asian food - fusion of Thai, Japanese, and Chinese. I tried the Thai food and I was impressed. The fried rice was juicy and flavorful, sometimes at some places, fried rice can be too dry and does not have too much flavor, but it hit the spot here. I got the basil chicken fried rice and every bite was so good. They have a couple of different fried rice options and meats you can select. The Tom Yum fried rice intrigued me so I will have to check that out next time. If you are looking for appetizers for the table, get the Wok edamame (I recommend this over the normal edamame)! The Wok edamame has sesame oil, chili, and garlic, and it made the flavors pop and our whole table really enjoyed it. My friend got chicken teriyaki and rice and I tried a piece and it was pretty good. The side salad and miso soup was refreshing. Service was great and fast and our waitress gave great recommendations. No reservations, but our wait was not bad for a Friday night - 30 minutes. They had a parking lot, but it was packed.

We still feel loyal to our two favorite dishes and tried the 5 Spice Chinese Old Fashioned (pretty great), grateful for getting us in quickly on a busy lunch day nearing the holidays!

Is this place good for really large parties? Looking to do a birthday dinner with a party of 18-ish...

They have a large outdoor patio that could be used, but the inside does not have separated rooms. Just one open dining room but not very sizable.

Does this place have gluten free options?

Yes they do! Edamame, soup, sushi, rice noodle dishes, etc.

After returning last night with my girlfriend and her four-year-old daughter, I can confidently say the experience was completely different. We were greeted and seated immediately, and the service was excellent from beginning to end. When my girlfriend mentioned that her drink was a little too sweet, our server quickly offered to replace it with something else. They also brought toys for her daughter, which was a thoughtful touch and made her feel welcome. The food was amazing. The wings were some of the best I've had, and the lo mein, bulgogi and fried rice were all excellent. Throughout our meal, several people who I assume were managers stopped by to make sure everything was going well. I was genuinely impressed by the level of service. There are fine-dining restaurants in Nashville where you don't receive this much attention or hospitality. Hawkers completely changed my opinion, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Wasted Soup dumplings are so damn cool. It's also either an engineering marvel or some sort of biblical miracle. How is the soup born inside the little dumpling?? So many questions!! I had some here and they were sure tasty!! I also had some killer crispy fried pork belly and some kick ass twice fried Korean wings!! Pork belly had tremendous umami flavors and was sticky sweet and yummy all at once! Loved it! But then came the Star.... I love chicken wings as much as I love life! That my friend, is a whole fucking lot!! I am more full of myself than you could possibly imagine. I loved these particular chicken wings a little more than life. I walked through downtown Nashville alone, on a random weeknight, just to eat these wings because I saw them on Yelp. I had already eaten dinner at Eddie V's earlier in the evening, but these wings called me from more than a mile away... Come eat me, Adam.... Is all I could hear after I saw others pictures of the wings.... Shhhh. Wings. I can't. But you must, said the wings.... I can't, I have no transportation.... We started off with a round of champagne and a bottle of red wine for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes since we were told that the set up is family style: Hamachi Crudo: 10/10 one of the best I've ever had! Super fresh and the sauce paired well with it. Bluefin Tune Crudo: 8/10 It was really fresh and well prepared, but I've had better elsewhere. I typically prefer bluefin tuna sashimi or nigiri anyway. Tuna Crispy Rice: 9/10 This was such a fun and delicious way to eat spicy tuna! All of the seasonings made it packed full of flavor. Tomahawk Ribeye 9/10: This was insanely tender, and well seasoned. Tip: ask for lemon wedges to sprinkle some lemon juice on it--thank me later. Broccolini 8/10: well prepared, and I loved the lemongrass garlic chili that topped it East Side Shrimp 7/10: These were well cooked and well seasoned. Loved the salad placed underneath it. Wagyu Tartare 8/10: It was well prepared and loved that it's paired with nori and rice. Wished it had a bit more punch to it in terms of seasoning. Crab Fried Rice 8/10: this was delicious but still say it's a solid 8. Beautifully prepared! Korean Hot Wings 2.5/10: I could tell that it was well cooked, but it was insanely salty; it was practically inedible. Hurricane Fries 9/10: These were so delicious! You are immediately hit with the smell of truffle, which made my mouth water. Packed with flavor! Brussels 7/10: These were well roasted, but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. To our credit, neither of us left a nasty review at the time; it happens in the restaurant business. But five years of watching them stay busy and still standing convinced me it was probably a one-off, so I gave Soy Bistro another shot. I ordered the Hot Chicken -- pan-seared, chargrilled chicken breast with Korean spices, served with house coleslaw and rice. The restaurant was clean, the service attentive, and a genuine highlight: self-serve beverages with large cups of ice-cold water, which I really appreciated. The coleslaw was crisp with a terrific dressing, and the rice was spot on. The chicken itself was a touch dry and could have really used a dipping sauce to pull it all together. At $15.50 -- closer to $20 after tax and tip, I wasn't wowed by the value on this particular dish. The cheesy skillets were flying out of the kitchen and looked amazing, clearly the crowd favorite for a reason. Next visit I haven't found my dish yet, but I have a pretty good idea where to look.
