V21 BbQ Pork, Shrimp and egg roll noodle bowl
S A.

Amazing place for Vietnamese or Thai. I recommend V1 Vietnamese Summer Rolls and V21 the Vietnamese Noodles Bowl (bun) with shrimp, BBQ pork and Vietnamese egg roll. This place is off the charts delicious and you won't feel bloated or heavy after eating here. Servers are very friendly and fast as well. Highly recommended.

One of my regulars, good quality, good service.. Only complaint is they didn't have any dessert to satisfy my sweet tooth this evening

I dined at Thai Papaya Restaurant on Tuesday, January, 26, 2021 at 1 pm. Their impressive menu offers a variety of dishes ranging from Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Lao. I've yet to see an Asian fusion restaurant that is able to pull off such an expansive menu, and I'm sorry to say that this one was way off the mark. I'd love to revisit to try their other dishes to write a more comprehensive review covering their other dishes, but my first experience was enough to avoid this place in the future. The pho tasted very cheap like something that I would expect at an Asian buffet. The meat tasted old and not fresh and meatballs were very small and tasted like I was being cheaped out. The Thai spicy seafood salad was average and needed a lot of refinement and finesse. The rice plate (V26 Dac biet Tau Huky Rice plate) was a mess. The meatloaf looked like someone had already taken a bite out of it and tasted OLD. The grilled pork lacked any flavor or seasoning. The egg was overcooked and fried to hell at the bottom. This Vietnamese dish is supposed to be a very classic comfort food, but I left dissatisfied. Service could use improvement. The server took a while to give us menus after being seated. She didn't write down any of our orders and ended up forgetting a dish (not surprised). However, all was forgiven after she sat down at a table behind us for her lunch break and started talking obnoxiously on the phone. Overall, the food tasted like quick half-assed food. This restaurant needs to work on refining their dishes and reevaluate their capabilities in cooking such a big menu. I rather eat at a restaurant with a small menu that has above average food than a restaurant with a large menu with poor quality food. Less is more.

V8. Meatball Pho (without onions or cilantro)
Mai L.

We found this place conveniently close to our hotel and we wanted Vietnamese. It's in a strip mall - east to get to and plenty of parking. Walking in - very clean and nicely decorated. We were greeted and seated right away. It wasn't too busy. Our waitress brought over waters and we were ready to order so we let her know. I got the meatball pho. I asked for no onions or cilantro. My mom got one of the rice and pork chop meals. My step dad also got pho. We were giving the typical extras for the pho of bean sprouts, limes, and jalapeños but no other common things like Thai basil or mint. The pho came out and the broth was very dark compared to what I've seen before. It tasted standard to me - not so bad. My mom was not impressed with her meal. She mentioned there was no dipping sauce for her pork (I guess standard) and the amount of meat they give you for the price of the dish is comical. They also gave her a butter knife to cut it and it would cut. It looked dry and she was unsatisfied. The service was not great either. We got checked on in the very beginning when our food was served but never again after. The two girls working just hung out at the counter talking. My mom kept mentioning the next day that we needed to find "REAL" Vietnamese food - did i mention we are Vietnamese? I guess it's our fault for going to a restaurant that has 3 different types of Asian foods (they have Vietnamese, Thai, and Japanese). I'm assuming the person who runs it isn't Vietnamese. Food was not great and overpriced.

Not my favorite Thai restaurant. I was so excited to see a Thai menu, a Lao menu, a Japanese Menu, etc. but after tasting a number of items from the menu, it left me wishing I had gone somewhere else at least to a better Asian restaurant. I will say that the food was presented beautifully, the ambience was nice, and the service was very good. It was just the flavors that were lacking. I'm assuming that maybe it was just a bad day? But if I'm honest, I'm not sure I'd venture in again to give them another try myself in less I had a gift certificate or something. Anyway, I hate giving bad reviews of a place, but I wouldn't want someone to steer me in the wrong direction, and that's what YELP is all about anyway. Helping people to make better choices on their dining experiences!

Shrimp fried rice

Our regular thai place was closed due to the snow so we figured we would give thai papaya a try and it will definitely be our last time going. I hate leaving bad reviews but i feel like i have to. The service was okay. It really just felt like we weren't wanted there and the food tasted fine. We ordered a to go fried rice and found a bug in it when we got home. They did apologize and give us a refund on the food we ordered to go but not on the rest of the check.

This is what you meal is supposed to have but they never added the Bean Sprouts, Lettuce or Cilantro
Landon W.

I'm uploading two pictures. The first is a list of everything that's supposed to come with my meal. The second is what came with it. They didn't put Bean Sprouts, Lettuce, or Cilantro... which is a huge part of the meal..

Thai Spring Rolls (received when I ordered Thai Egg Rolls)

I hate to leave a bad review. Since moving to Nashville, I found this place and only ordered my Thai food from this spot. Recently, the food has been fine but the orders have been wrong. The last time, I ordered Shrimp tempura but no shrimp was in the order, only the tempura veggies. This time, I placed two separate orders (I left off the Thai egg rolls, but put in the notes that the orders were connected). I went to the restaurant. When I pointed out that I had a second order of Thai rolls, which was prepaid, I had to really prove this order. They never found it and gave me Thai spring rolls. I did not check the order before leaving. When I got to the house, I had Thai spring rolls. I called and they said to come back and they would correct them. When I arrived, they asked for the Thai spring rolls back. I told them I had a picture but did not, bring the rolls back because I had opened them. The waitress put in the order. This order was correct, the issue is she was kind of snarky and saying that I should. When I told her that this is the second time I've ordered online and it was wrong, she responded that I should just call in my order. I mentioned that it was inconvenient. They lost a customer today. The food might be good but the time wasted in proving I ordered and paid for what I ordered and paid for was just too much. Here is a picture of my incorrect order.

Been coming here for years. It's our go to for airport trips. Thai papaya salad still bomb after all these years as well as their fried rice.

The store offers everything you could possibly need for cooking authentic Asian dishes, from a wide selection of condiments and sauces to canned Asian vegetables, fresh produce, and a large variety of noodles. Whether you're in the mood for instant noodles or looking to experiment with a new type of noodle, this place has options galore. The store also has a well-stocked frozen section with items like dumplings, seafood, and frozen vegetables. You can also find essential cooking equipment, making it easy to stock your kitchen with everything necessary for Asian-inspired meals. One of the standout features of Interasian Market is the high quality of the fresh produce. I've been particularly impressed with their selection of mushrooms, mint, and Thai basil. These ingredients are consistently fresh, and they elevate the flavors of any dish you prepare. The market also offers canned lychees, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, and raw jackfruit, which are not always easy to find elsewhere. These ingredients are perfect for cooking a wide variety of Asian dishes and bring authenticity to the flavors. Another thing I love about this market is how affordable everything is. It's incredibly economical, making it a great option for those who want to explore Asian cooking without breaking the bank. The gentleman who runs the store is always polite, friendly, and eager to help if you have any questions or need assistance finding something specific. His customer service really adds to the welcoming atmosphere of the store. In addition to all the grocery items, the store offers freshly made Banh Mi sandwiches, which I've heard great things about. I haven't had the chance to try one yet, but I've noticed many customers visiting specifically for these sandwiches, so it's definitely something I'll be trying next time. The fresh Banh Mi sandwiches add another layer of appeal to the store, making it not only a great place to shop but also a spot to grab a delicious meal. The only minor drawback is that the store doesn't accept cards, so be sure to bring cash when you visit. While this is a bit of an inconvenience, it's a small price to pay for the fantastic selection and reasonable prices. Overall, Interasian Market and Deli is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys Asian cooking or wants to try new ingredients. With its incredible variety, fresh produce, and friendly service, it's easily my favorite grocery store in the city.

The pho has great flavor, but the noodles are a bit too cooked by the time it's delivered. They tend to break easily and get soggy. I usually transfer the pho to my own bowl at home, and I think slightly undercooking the noodles would really help it hold up better for delivery. The fresh spring rolls are good, but I'd love to see more of the other ingredients and less noodles inside. The sauce is really good. The taro boba with coconut milk is hands-down the best drink! It's creamy, flavorful, and not too sweet. I haven't tried adding extras yet, but I'd prefer an option to add extra boba from the app next time. They have a little water station that you may help yourself to throughout your meal. I ordered the Viet Tea Trio (appetizer, entrée, & drink) with a Beef Pho, Pork fried egg rolls, and a rose milk tea. They had a variety of milk teas and matcha flavors along with many toppings (i.e. boba). The beef pho was full of flavor. The beef was tender and cooked through, brisket cut. The egg rolls are crunchy and come with a sweet kind of chili sauce. They also have hoisin or sriracha sauce on the tables if you would like to add more flavor to your food. The tea was delicious, though on the sweet side. I like sweet, but let the staff know if you would like it less sweet (25/50/75%). The whole meal was quite filling. It was a bit loud, which is fine, but the kitchen is just behind a curtain so you can sometimes hear the clanking of pots and dishes. But overall a nice experience.

Ordered the fried appetizer sampler, I was solo dining but this was definitely enough for 2-4 ppl to share. Wasn't in the mood for noodles but ordered a bowl of just the pho broth. The broth was very rich, a tad too salty and a bit too much cinnamon for my taste but it still warmed me right up! For lunch the pork laap salad with a side of sticky rice at a level 5 spicy was just pure perfection. The balance of flavors was spot on and the kick of heat from the spice level really took it to a notch! Also ordered their whole fried fish of the day and it was beautiful crispy on the outside and tender white flesh on the inside. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the tofu was browned to perfection. The grilled broccoli and cauliflower were snappy and contrasted well with the rest of the ingredients. The dish had a spicy yet tolerable kick to it, but I have a very high threshold for spice and heat (I added chili oil to take it up a notch!). Also, the portion size is BIG. I was very hungry so I had no issues finishing most of it, but it could easily be shared between two adults, especially if you order an appetizer or side.
