Sushi was on point; servings were unexpectedly big! Service was always at your beck and call.

Lo mein. On a Chef Wang's plate. At kirin.

This place has 4* reviews, so we figured it would be good. Chicken is entirely unseasoned on both lo mein and hibachi. Hibachi came with zuchinni despite ordering without. My lo mein noodles were literally just spaghetti noodles with lo mein sauce. Chicken was also spongey and old. "Dead food" we call that. Sushi rice was dry and kept falling apart when picked up by chopstick, no matter how gentle the touch. "Clear" soup was brown. Gyoza is vegetable and comes deep fried. So do the spring rolls. They were overcooked. We came in at 4pm, right after they opened back up for the dinner shift. I've had better sushi from kroger and publix. Decent value, just dont come in expecting anything above average. It's below average at best.

    wasabi and ginger

The wasabi had a strange color that looks like play-doh, the finger and the cream cheese tasted waaaaay off and absolutely disgusting, i dont recommend it.

I absolutely love Kirin Sushi. I come here every time im craving sushi. The sushi is always prepared well, and the service is always friendly. The seating area is small but cozy; and it's perfect for casual dining.

The folks that work here are fantastic. I was originally looking for a hibachi grill with a live check experience. This is not that kinda place but we had a great time and dinner was very good. Check this place out. The sushi is very fresh tasting and the service was excellent.

Salmon Teriyaki on bottom with various rolls. All delicious!!

No FRILLS sushi spot, okay people?! You must understand this. This is for people who want decent sushi for great prices. Not the best of the best sushi on the planet. But I think the sushi is great and you get a LOT for your money here. Non-specialty rolls are way under $10 and specialty rolls are just over $10. All of the other food on the menu besides sushi has been delicious as well! I get a bento box and for about $17 I get: -Salmon Teriyaki that's fresh af atop a little bed of sautéed onions and mushrooms *drool* -Steamed rice of course -A couple fried Gyozas in sauce -A California roll -Salad with really good ginger dressing -Miso soup -A FULL order of Shrimp Tempura/Vegetable Tempura appetizer. Like 2 big ass shrimp and a ton of veggies. I've gotten less than this when ordering tempura separately at other joints. All of that for $17. And it's GOOD and everyone who works here is so nice!!! I've seen people walk in there a couple minutes after they closed and they were still so sweet and offered to make all of this guy's food to go. Kirin is hidden in a tiny shopping area off Bell road and it's not a looker inside, either. But you will feel like 5 star royalty once you get seated and you'll still have money leftover in your pocket to party afterward! Isn't that what you want??!?

This place is good. It's fresh. And it's reasonably priced. So my experience with Nashville is there's awesome expensive sushi and there's mediocre, reasonably priced sushi. I think this place does an awesome job and bringing good sushi at a good price to the table. So I ordered the... fancy roll? I maybe made that up. Whatever it was, it was delicious. I also ordered a salad, I could seriously drink the dressing... and I know how gross that sounds... but seriously... I could and probably would have, had my boyfriend not been there to judge me. We also ordered crab stuffed jalapeños as an appetizer. It was good, wasn't mind blowing. Annnd we also ordered 2 other rolls and lo mein. Yes, I was very hungry this day. Could also be why I wanted to sip on some dressing. The lo mein was really good, not the best and no where close to the worst. Overall it was good. It was reasonably priced. We ordered a ton of food for $40... Pretty impressive.

Although this has not been in Antioch as long as some other staple locations. This is a staple Antioch restaurant!!! Best sushi this side of town and better than many other places across the city realistically. I love coming here, the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is always amazing. They have hibachi, sushi, sake, fried rice and more. Let's not forget the lunch special too!!! The have take out and dine in. The dine in is never overly packed. It is quiet with soft music and usually one tv with sports or news on. Service is fast and the prices are reasonable. I come here a lot with friends or alone. I absolutely love this place. Anyone who has given this place a bad review is insane. This is one of my top favorite restaurants in Antioch.

    Great presentation!

Great sushi and price! They were the perfect size, not overly huge rolls. Friendly staff and affordable prices. They have tons of parking spots outside as well. Got thr promise roll and sushi delux with Dragon roll!

So we had lunch here I did enjoy the tempura rolls and the sweet potato roll was alright it didn't taste like anything, really. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of our food. Which makes me upset. But the shrimp sushi tasted weird and the squid sushi didn't smell or taste fresh. I explained the Texture of the shrimp and squid to my husband who is Thai and he eats lots of seafood. Squid was a lightly fishy and rubbery the shrimp was very fishy. And my husband said it's not supposed to taste or smell like that. And i looked up how thick the squid is supposed be on line and it's supposed to be super thin. my daughters squid sushi was about an inch thick Yuk!!!!! She had hard time chewing it she had to drink lots of green tea to chug it down. Thank God she didn't get sick.

I like coming with a group because if you order Japanese food, you get miso soup and a salad, but if you order Korean food, you get a ton of banchan delivered to your table. I like a bit of both, so having multiple people at my table increases my odds of sampling the whole menu. The bento boxes come with endless food: entree, generous portion of veggie and shrimp tempura, sushi roll, gyoza, rice and orange slice. Not to mention the miso soup and salad brought out before the box. My favorite is the dolsot bibimbap which comes out sizzling in a hot stone pot. This creates a crispy rice edge and keeps the dish hot the entire time you're eating. I always add a healthy amount of spicy gochujang sauce to my bowl to add warmth and depth of flavors. This makes it one of my ultimate comfort food dishes. We typically come here on a weeknight and are usually seared right away. The staff is always super welcoming and friendly.

I have NEVER had so much volume in a bento box, I ate 3 meals from it, 1 there and 2 from the take home I had. Not only did they serve soup AND salad, but there was a choice of California roll sushi, or another, I tried the other. Usually, it is a couple of pieces of sushi pieces in the box, but here it was a whole roll - 8 pieces - served between the soup/salad and the entree. The entre had a large portion of chicken terriyaki on a mixed vegetable stir fry. Plus 2 gyoza, plus rice, and orange slices PLUS tempura of 4 vegetables and 1 shrimp. Midori surpassed all the other restaurants I've been to when ordering a Bento box. The lady serving me was very professional. This is a modest restaurant with an ambiance good for casual dining, not my choice for anniversary celebration. I had lunch solo (there are no lunch specials offered). My lunch was $18.99.

You must order the wings!!!! Sticky, sweet/spicy, juicy, and crunchy. Everything you can love about wings in one satisfying bite, the wait is worth it! We also ordered gyoza, beef pad kee mao and a pokeman go roll to sample the different Asian cuisines available on the menu. Our favorite was the Thai drunken noodles, but nothing was a miss. Although I probably wouldn't come here just for sushi, I need to come back to try all the interesting menu items like the bulgogi burger, and the Korean fried chicken sando. Our server Michelle hooked us up when we realized there was a bucket deal on drinks after we hastily ordered one beer each. She was so sweet, even though we came in near closing. The wings and beer were a perfect accompaniment to the first half of the NCAA championship game we watched during our visit. Can't wait to eat those wings again!

The Korean fried chicken wings take about 20 minutes to come out, but trust me, they're 100% worth the wait. The wings are crunchy on the outside, packed with garlic, sweet, savory flavor, and somehow still moist and juicy on the inside. Perfect texture every single time. No soggy wings here just crisp, sticky, flavorful goodness. They are also best leftovers perfect for the air fryer! Every friend or family I bring ends up loving the wings long after we leave. Bonus tip: the sauce table has plenty of sauce and spices if you want to heat up your wings further or want to check it out.

They had been closed for a few days due to really harsh winter weather conditions so I was so happy to see them open this day! Ordered a bit of everything since my stomach could not decide on just one thing as everything on their menu all sounded so appetizing! Ordered the fried appetizer sampler, I was solo dining but this was definitely enough for 2-4 ppl to share. Wasn't in the mood for noodles but ordered a bowl of just the pho broth. The broth was very rich, a tad too salty and a bit too much cinnamon for my taste but it still warmed me right up! For lunch the pork laap salad with a side of sticky rice at a level 5 spicy was just pure perfection. The balance of flavors was spot on and the kick of heat from the spice level really took it to a notch! Also ordered their whole fried fish of the day and it was beautiful crispy on the outside and tender white flesh on the inside. I will for sure be back here to try their other dishes when I'm back down in the Nashville area for work!
