Thai Basil Stir Fry (w/ Tofu)
Jo-Anne L.

Pretty decent! I ordered on UberEats and the food arrived promptly and well packed. Portions are relatively large - the basil stir fry came with huge chunks of tofu and an excellent mix of various vegetables, all quite fresh. The lemongrass soup, on the other hand, was way too sour for me and combined with the spice made it rather unpleasant. Prices are reasonable enough though so I can see myself returning again!

My partner and I got the Dinner for 2: 2 spring rolls, rice, chicken pad Thai and red curry chicken. The chicken pad Thai was very filling, and the red curry chicken was very smooth with a little spice. Spring rolls were crunchy, filled with veggies but could have used a little bit more salt. There was also small peanuts and a small sweet sauce for the springs rolls. This was overall delicious and perfect for a park date. Though heads up it would be been nice to have an extra dish to mix the curry and the rice.

Summary: Authentic Thai food but tiny portions for higher than average prices makes this place comparatively not as worthwhile. Lots of other Thai places at similar or better price points with way more food. Came here as a group of 4 for lunch. Checked in on yelp and there was 10% off! We were pretty much the only people there at 1pm - I think one other party of 2 came in while we were there. Service: Seemed okay - only 1 person working the front but she seemed to be on her phone a lot. Luckily, there were only 2 tables so service didn't suffer. Place was clean. Food: Warning - Super small portions! I feel like their portions are smaller than a lot of other Thai places lunch specials. However, I must admit the flavor is truly authentic. Drunken noodles - flat rice noodles in a slightly sweet sauce. Served with bok choy, slices of onions and red peppers, scrambled egg and your choice of protein. Great flavor - 4/5 Pad Thai - had a nice tamarind flavor, has tofu, egg, bean sprouts and green onions. The peanuts are served on the side which is nice as you can put as much as you like. 3.5/5 Red curry with lamb- pretty standard, rich coconut flavor. I felt like their menu was misleading as I didn't see any bamboo pieces in the dish. Had a good spice to it. The lamb has a very subtle game-y-ness so it's good for those who prefer that but for those who like game-y flavor, don't bother paying the extra price. 3/5. Pad kee mao - has a nice spicy level but really felt it lacked basil flavor. 2.5/5. All of these scores would be 0.5 to 1 point higher if they actually served portions that were similar to their competitors. Price: Expensive for such small portions which is truly a shame given the great flavor.

Portions are actually quite good than they seem on picture.

We were to try Eat Bkk. Since that closed early , chose this place. Well was our choice good? Did we end up having delicious food? Keep reading.. Ordered Malay curry, bkk pad thai, sea food fried rice. The waiter was so friendly and patient to accept our order just before closing and also the food was served very fast to the table. Here is what my taste buds felt: Malay curry: they just nailed it. It has been a while since I had such a delicious curry. Asparagus was on right amount just aiding the whole taste. Sea food fried rice: tasted good. Had mix of shrimp, squid, muscles. Bkk pad thai : they served peanut separate incase someone is allergic . Little sweeter than expected But overall good taste. Portions were decent. Ambience is ok ok. Cant expect much with covid restrictions. Check out pics.

Treasure Thai Food Place Here is a Thai food gem in Cabbage town, Toronto. Quiet and Cozy We enjoyed momentarily in our first step in. The warm lighting, painting and thai decor are well mixed. We order drink, Thai Chai Milk Tea and Tiger beer. My partner wanted Martini first but no available and got a beer. I got a Thai milk tea with the server recommendations. Love it. It has coconut milk in it, that's my fav ingredient in Thai food. We ordered Pad Thai added 1 dollar extra for curry pad Thai, Fried Quinoa (great to see this vegetarian option in Thai Restaurant. What a vegetarian friendly place) big star for Thai Room Menu!!!!! And mushroom Tom Yum Soup. Our ratings: Food is 5/5 Service 6/5 very attentive to our table Cleanliness 5/5 Environment 5/5 Unable to give a perfect score because the improper order of presenting food to the table. The soup came after the main courses. I wished the soup can come first before the main courses. It would be so perfect if this can be in order. And also the classic Martini was not available when we ordered originally which disappointed our taste bud to bar menu. Overall, Wonderfully worth your money to have the quality service and Thai food in our local Toronto Cabbage town .

We went to Cabbage town for a tour. After the tour, we found this thai Room restaurant. We were wondering what to order and the lady explained the difference between famous pad thai and the BKK style pad thai. We ended up ordering the authentic and less sour one - the BKK style. It was actually quite sour...We also ordered a dish called oodles of noodles. The tamarind sauce is great! Overall, food came super fast, the portion does not look huge but it is very filling. Also, checking-in on yelp gives you 10% off. So, we paid around 16$ per person. Not a bad choice today.

Mango cocktail- reminds me of childhood drink frooti. Not so great

We went there for valentines dinner. Its a small place with quiet ambiance. We started with starters and Tom yum soup. Tom yum soup was super awesome! Mango salad and fried veggie rolls were okay. The portion is good. We were two and shared everything, it didn't require us to order 2 soups at all. For drinks there were no thai iced tea or coffee , infact most of cocktail from the menu were not available. However, the server made me a mango drink. The good part is she was totally concerned about my likes and dislikes and accommodate as per my preference from drinks to food. For main course we ordered 1. Pad Thai veggie, and 1. Red chicken curry. Both were good. Pad thai was yummm! They forgot to serve rice with curry, and they not only apologized for it but also gave us 50% off on the total bill. They are very much customer oriented, the manager Wayne I guess was her name, Is prompt in following social media updates, also following all customer feedbacks and taking a quick action on it. Over all decent food but excellent service! Kudos! I would go back there for soup n pad thai, for sure!

I decided to try this location on their second day since opening with my co-workers. Venue - not a lot of seating and it is pretty intimate - you can tell that they are still touching up some things for the opening (the hanging lights were dusty and it smelled like varnish). May be nice for a small function. There is little to no waiting area. Menu - Huge selection of Thai foods - mainly curries. Some Malay salads but nothing too exciting. I got the Curry Chicken Pad Thai for lunch. Nice portion for $10.99. The curry didn't taste authentic, rarely any spices to it. Underseasoned. I had to pick pieces of lemongrass from the noodle. The noodles were soggy and the dish overall was watery. I didn't understand the garnish on the plate? Orange and lettuce that I won't be eating. The chicken was pretty fresh but had very few pieces on the plate. I barely ate half the plate and packed the rest to go. Service - I only saw one server and she worked really hard to get the food out and take orders. Friendly service but they may be stretching the quality of service during busy time with just one server. They take credit and was great with splitting the bill before you pay at the register.

Curry pad Thai that has zero flavour. It tastes like nothing.

I have ordered from the Thai Room many of times, but after ordering two curry pad Thai's and crispy tofu with peanut sauce from Uber eats, I do not think I will be ordering again. The food was very bland and lacked the seasoning and spices their Thai food usually has. I have had some small issues of inconsistency from this location before, but today was just too much of an issue to continue being a customer.

I went today to pick up Pad See ew, when I got home, I open my food and found this mush of pasta (it supposed to be noodles) it did not look appealing at all, when i tried to eat it some pieces of chicken were still raw, such a disapointment for the price i paid. Never going to this place again. Yuck

Watery red curry shrimp + pad Thai. Looks so appetizing right!?!? NOT. Granted it was especially bad tonight but it's never good.

We ordered 2 cocktails to start with the tapioca dumplings and green papaya fritters. The drinks came out immediately. I had the Tincture Perfect, which was outstanding. It was the perfect mix of sweet, sour, floral and bitter. I loved it! My husband had the Unit 75 which he really enjoyed. The grapfruit bitters rounded out the sweetness of the Chambord and the sourness of the lemon. We decided to order another cocktail each just as our food arrived. I had the I Have a Lychee Secret. It was a little on the sweet side, but was very yummy. I loved the black pepper on top but didn't really taste much cilantro. My husband had La Passionista which was great. It was so well-balanced and flavourful. The dumplings were AMAZING! The butterly pea infused tapioca gave the perfect bouncy, chewy texture to the outside and the mushroom and radish centres were so tasty. Our waitress explained that they should be eaten in a lettuce cup with cilantro, mint and peanuts. YUM! Such a flavour bomb. The only thing I would have changed would be to add some sort of a spicy, salty, sour dipping sauce like a nuoc cham. The green papaya fritters were also just fantastic. They were crispy, crunchy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy and sweet. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and would 100% return. I have already reccomended them to others.

The only issue I had which made me knock off a star is that the glass and silverware had an odd scent, like the smell your glasses have if there's food stuck in your dishwasher filter -- if you know that scent you know what I mean. Just smelled funky and honestly the smell was ruining the taste (smell and taste are so closely linked) so I drank out of my own water bottle I had brought and grabbed a plastic fork to eat with which did solve the issue but still...less than ideal
