Yellow Curry, and Pad Thai Chicken
    Cyndy N.

I went here on a Thursday for dinner with my best friend. Service started off kind of rough. We stood at the doorway for about 5-10 mins before being acknowledged. We sat down and the waiter was friendly and attended to us. We ordered the yellow curry spicy, and pad Thai spicy. Both of our dishes were chicken. But there are other protein options. The restaurant is small with about 6 tables and chairs. The walls were filled with art, but also menu pictures taped to it. Overall the food was good and the service got better. I would be back to try other things

I don't normally eat in Lodi, but was passing through and this place had better reviews than most places in the area. Definitely a cozier place that has almost at at-home feel for me. We were there a little earlier than prime dinner time on a Friday, so not busy at all and were able to sit down right away. The two people working the floor were pretty friendly and quick to serve us. The food came within what felt like 10 -15 minutes. The spring rolls were stuffed with a good amount of veggies, with thinner noodles than I'm used to, so the rolls were pretty dense. There was also an option to have chicken as the protein, which I don't see at all when I eat at other Thai establishments, but that ended up making the rolls a little drier than my liking. The sweet and sour sauce that came with it did help temper that quite a bit though, especially since I'm more used to getting a thicker peanut sauce with my rolls. I ordered the priew-wan because all the veggies listed sounded appealing after a week of heavy Thanksgiving food. When it came it was definitely heavy on the sweet and sour sauce. While very delicious, I did my best to left the sauce run off first before eating it with my side of rice. I wasn't planning on getting any dessert , but one of the servers did a decent job convincing me. How can I turn down a mango sticky rice at a Thai restaurant? While I don't necessarily believe there is only one way to make this dish, I was very happy to see it come out in a more standardized fashion. No other colors in the rice and a nice shareable portion of mango. Also, the rice was nice and warm, which gave a good contrast to the cold mango. I'd definitely come back here again if I'm in the area since the prices were good for their portion sizes. The staff is friendly and I'm always down to support smaller businesses.

Very small place but we were the only ones there for majority of our meal so it was fine. The service is so friendly and they make you feel like family. The food is amazing! Such great flavor and textures. I had chicken pad se ew and the veggies were cooked just right, the noodles were chewy and the flavor was perfect. I will definitely be back. They seem to do quiet a bit of takeout because it is so small so I might try that next time. But if you don't mind being a little close to others dining in was great because the service was nice!

My family and I dropped in to this Gem. A quaint restaurant in the heart Lodi that's family owned. Our server Judy & Sonny were amazing. They went above and beyond to serve us. The entire staff had smiles and their recommendations were on point. I highly recommend everything on the menu! Thankyou Thai Kitchen-we will return!!

I had a great experience at Thai Kitchen last night. I had been craving Thai and was recommended here. It is a small hole in the wall esque place. Service was friendly and welcoming as soon as we came in. I ordered the drunken noodles with sticky rice which was so flavorful, I didn't even need to add any spices like I typically do. They suggested we try the Thai tea creme brûlée which is an item they are considering adding! I really hope that they do. I had a couple bites despite not really wanting dessert and it was delicious!

I haven't really had a lot of Thai food or found much that I like but we tried this place on a whim and turns out I do in fact like pad Thai, I also tried their Num-Tok which I already knew I liked from my house holds personal recipe but the Num-Tok here was a different take on it, a lot of tamarind powder for my personal taste but still yummy. The basil fried rice was interesting, not bad but I wouldn't seek it out but that is just my palette talking not a quality issue. The mango sticky rice is obligatory and was yummy as well. Overall the price for the whole meal wasn't bad either for the portions and including tip, would definitely come back. Like most places, personally I'd probably bring my personal water bottle because the refills are never fast enough haha and it doesn't seem like they run AC or at least not yet in the season so it was hotter inside the restaurant than outside which was not a pleasant experience when trying to eat. Great food, nice to know I do actually like some Thai food!

Everything is super awesome!! The service is amazing and feels very welcoming. I got the Pad thai broccoli (i think) with tofu and mild spice, honestly some of the best tofu i've had. The tea they have is also really good! i definitely recommend if you want good cooked, yummy food!!!

The first thing you notice when entering the restaurant is an outgoing, energetic Lady who greets everyone who comes thru the door. Once seated the staff attended to our needs immediately. The menu was extensive offering numerous selections from various cultures. We were seated near the owner, Bunhom Khotakoon. As good as the food was Bunhom was the highlight of the evening. Watching her run this fine establishment was a joy to see, her attention to every detail was apparent and comes from decades of running such a fine restaurant. We had a second occasion to go out to dinner, and all agreed we wanted to return to Thai. This time we asked Bunhom to surprise us. This was the right decision. The food she had the kitchen staff prepare was amazing. I can't say what we enjoyed more, every dish checked all the boxes when it came to satisfying our taste buds. The Thai tea was an added surprise; the taste was not only delicious but exotic to boot. Being from Louisiana we know good food and appreciate spicey cuisine, Thai Spices Restaurant exceeded our expectations. I know where I'll be dining when I return to Lodi. Well done Bonham and the entire Thai Spices' team. Ted McIntyre II

Of course plenty of chicken, beef, pork and tofu but also seafood like fish, shrimp, scallop and also duck and lamb! Tonight we started off splitting a large Singha, which will fill up 2 very chilled beer mugs. We then got the Pad See Ew with Beef. The beef was cut so thin and was so tender. The dish was savory and we even used a bit of white rice to soak the rest of the sauce up! We also got an order of the Red Curry Duck, again the meat is sliced thin and is super tender. Cooked in the red curry with bell pepper and bamboo shoot. Then an order of large white rice. The spices on the side are so tasty too and so fun to experiment! This is an excellent date spot, a friends night out, and I've seen large groups and families here too. We will be back!

The bao veggie filling is different than the dumpling filling, and it's very delicious. They have standard Chinese dishes in addition, but I have not ventured far into the rest of the menu. Unfortunately I cannot as of yet share whether any of this, or the dipping sauces are vegan friendly. Hopefully on a future visit I can find out and report. The dishes I have so far mentioned are vegetarian friendly. Not sure on the dipping sauces. Possibly? The price is pretty decent for what you get. One order of bao or dumplings is plenty for two people. They are about $13 each. I like how the takeout containers come in a reusable canvas bag. Ordering over the phone has been smooth each time. So, we keep coming back when the hankering hits, braving what can be a busy parking lot.

Arrived on a Wednesday evening at just before 6pm & only waited about 10 mins for a spot to open up inside (they do have outdoor seating as well). Waitress quickly stopped by, dropped off some focaccia bread & asked what I'd like to drink. After that...I waited. Make sure you have plenty of time to kill by the way, b/c the service here is on the slower side. My wine finally arrived about 15 mins later & I was asked what I'd like to eat. Inquired about the pear + cheese ravioli & was told that it was on the "sweeter" side, but also that it was popular & I would actually be getting the last order of it for the night. Decided to go for it. Funny enough, the food came out way faster than my glass of wine did. Here is where the real problem began though. The ravioli was undercooked & difficult to chew. Not al dente. The filling itself was definitely on the sweeter side, but outside of that, it was bland. The brown butter sage sauce didn't add much to it at all & I ended up having to rely heavily on the salt/pepper that were already placed on the table. Overall, this wasn't something worth driving 45 mins for, but now I know for sure. At least the bread was good...lol.

We can usually depend on it being busy as they offer a small dining area with limited tables outside, so when we do walk in we do so prepared. They do have a reservation system but to my knowledge we have not used it. We just walk up and greet the staff person at the door to check in, and they tell us what the wait is like. If it's over a half hour we usually kill time in Raley's. It's usually not longer than a 20 minute wait. If you are a large party, things might get cramped, but I've seen them pull it off with gusto. We've never had a party larger than four and it's been great. I really like the folks who work here. And the food is great too. They have a few tvs and a little sushi bar at the back, and the noise level is about average depending on how many children are dining with their families. Komachi has a dedicated vegetarian menu and I've tried most of the things on it. I love that they have marinated shiitake rolls, my fave of the standard veggie sushi innards. Yummy! My favorite rolls on the menu are the Garden Roll (steamed asparagus, avocado, cucumber, kanpyo, and shiitake), Shittake Maki, and the Rich Jumbo Roll (fried asparagus, fried onion, avocado, cream cheese, and cucumber). Appetizers I have tried and enjoyed very much include the Agedashi tofu, fried brussels sprouts (I have to remember to have the fish flake removed from this dish though), and of course, wakame (seaweed salad). They do have ramen, donburi, bento boxes, teppanyaki (the tofu one I look forward to trying soon!) and salads as well if you're not in the sushi mood. I like their seasonal drink menu, featuring wine, soju, and beer. Komachi is also reasonably priced. Yeah, pretty much everything I'm looking for when me and my boo are craving sushi. Vegan Corner: several items can be made vegan upon request, but there is not a dedicated menu. Bathroom Report: noisy pipes will not hurt you, at least it's smelling fresh right?
