Worst service experience I've had in a long time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as we walked in, the owner/server's mean demeanor affected the entire atmosphere of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt uncomfortable the whole time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Later, I tried to politely give feedback and mentioned that he should be nicer to his customers. His response was sarcastic -- he mocked us by asking if we wanted him to be "ecstatic" and even acted it out. He became very defensive and argumentative instead of listening to the feedback. At that point, we decided to end the conversation because it simply was not worth our time or energy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is sort of a hidden gem. Small and not hard to miss or overlook.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend took me here for dinner. I am in town visiting. It's one of her fave Thai food spots, near her home. There was a lot to select from on the menu. The prices are steep, but not a huge deal. I ordered the green papaya salad. It was loaded with large shrimp, and plenty of fish sauce. So tangy and delicious. I also ordered something new, to my eyes. Ham and (Parmesan)cheese filled spring rolls. They came with a sticky sauce that was sweet/spicy. I used it on the sticky rice too. The spring rolls were kind of unique, and easy to love. I didn't know that they are a staple on many a Thai restaurant menu. Had not ever seen the item before. Yummy! The Thai tea with rum was not bad. The service was swell. I had been to this bistro once before and wanted to return. I don't recall anything particular standing out last time in any unpleasant way. This time, however, I found the curry to be rather lacking in layer/depth. Seemed perfunctorily thrown together (may not at all be the case), which was perhaps heightened for me by how fast it came to the table. On the other hand, the spouse loved the pad thai and devoured his entire (good-sized) plate. I have been a repeated customer at this place, but this customer service and food has gone downhill I asked to have my food placed in a plastic box. He put it in the regular Chinese food box when I got home, the food was spilled all over the green bag that they give out. I called and asked for either a refund or remake the food and I can back so me and my wife went over there and brought the food back asked him can he put it in the white plastic box that I asked previously he's got mad and said he's gonna put it in a clear container. I said no sir please can you please put it in the plastic container cause I want to mix it with my white rice so he got frustrated and I say you know what it's OK. I'll just take my business elsewhere. Can you please just have me my money back he got the money out the register and throw it at me. It's on camera. Then I told him that I don't need this type of treatment so he told me to leave and get the fuck out of his I said I'm not go ahead and call the cops because this is not good customer he SPDSPD comes after about an hour later they didn't do nothing. It really wasn't about the money. It was more of the principal about customer service and as I'm waiting on the police to arrive, they have a Cook that's in the back that was literally picking his nose with no gloves on also there was a couple when I was there the first time I see him drop a spoon on the floor pick it up and put it right into someone's fried rice and served them. I was really blown away by this experience and I live in the same complex as this business so I'm really really disappointed in the customer service and how they're treating their customers when it comes to food food is a serious thing it needs to be sanitary in there. Stopped in while staying a night in Seattle. This restaurant is located in a newer trendy court yard in the Northgate Theatre complex. The spring rolls were standard, and to me at least they all seem to come from prepared frozen food regardless of the restaurant. The Chicken Pad Thai was flavorful and plentiful with enough left we required a take out box. I ordered the Fusion Orange Chicken and asked for medium spice but it arrived with no spice. I asked for some spice sauce which helped. I believe there are likely better dishes, but not being a Thai Food expert these worked for us. Worth a try if you like Thai food. read more

Was a regular here.. WOMP WOMP SERVICE SUCKED. He banned me after I left no tip because I found hair in my food. Food pretty decent all I ever ordered was the Phad Thai. There's been multiple reviews that included SAK. Sak is the guy in the front with an off-putting demeanor. Everyone seems to get mixed vibes because the only time he talks to you is when he seats you then the next and last time you talk to him it's when he leaves the bill. Seems like he hates his job and people. He never asked if we needed something else he didn't even look at us when he set the food down. Like someone else said "A man without a smiling face should never open a shop.". Now back to the food with the hair in it. After I payed the bill he tried to bully me into a tip. I told him no and said " thank you and god bless you " because he just started ranting on how busy he was and how I have to tip and this is the last time he's serve me. I would go basically everyday. Love this place!!! I've been multiple times over the last few years, & they are reliably great! Quick & attentive waitstaff. The food is Delicious, every time! Every dish is absolutely yummy & memorable. The Crab Rangoon is amazing! (Tho I think they call it something else). Their Panang Curry.... oooooh myyyy.... There are no words, I'm drooling just thinking about it! The pumpkin curry also rocks, as does the Pad See Ew & the Golden Cashew Nut Entree. Oh & the chicken satay! - They're VERY fast, so if you want to linger over appetizers, you'd best let them know. Otherwise your entree will arrive maybe 3 minutes after your appetizers arrived. We stopped in to grab a bite while waiting for our movie to start. Although it was very crowded due to being a Saturday night, we were able to get a seat pretty quickly. He had the garlic beef and I had the tofu panang. You can pick the heat level you like, between 1-4. We both chose a 3 and it was pretty hot. His garlic beef was sizzling when it came to the table and I could smell the garlic as the plate whisked by me. He said it was delicious. My panang was very good. Creamy and sizzling hot. I don't like too much basil in mine, and this was perfect. The bell peppers were crunchy and not overdone. My tofu was soft, just the way I like it. The heat was cut nicely by the brown rice we ordered to go with it. The rice gave my panang a slight nutty flavor with a chewy texture that went perfect with the panang! The place was super busy, so our servers were not the friendliest, but what they lacked in service they made up in great flavors! Sure did hit the spot on a damp, rainy night! read more

Thai Fusion is right next to the movie theater at Northgate, so I was a bit surprised by the price per plate. When you factor in just how large each serving is, however, it makes much more sense. Their dinner servings would serve two or three if you order rice along with them. Tried the fried tofu, crab wontons, Mongolian beef, and chicken pad Thai. Every single mouthful was amazing and delicious. Like always, 4 stars of heat didn't seem to do it for me, but I'm sure their usual patrons think they're palate is very heat-tolerant when they are able to handle that level. I must say-- this was probably the best crab wonton I have ever had in my life, and I used to think I made a darn good one. Thanks a lot for stealing my dubious honor, TF! TLDR: Fast, fresh, a bit spendy. Not a very busy place. Been here a few times and was seated right away--appetizers came out seconds after we ordered and food came out minutes after. Can be quite spendy--entrees don't come with rice. You can get away with not ordering rice but be prepared to chug water since it won't be there to counteract the salt from the entree. Not saying that the food is too salty--eating it with rice makes it more palatable. Fresh rolls: looks like the vermicelli noodles went on vacation! The fresh rolls here don't contain vermicelli. Minus the noodles, the fresh roll is still pretty good--I like that they loaded up on the basil and the romaine crunch is fantastical. The is chicken boiled, not flavored. Peanut sauce was a bit...pasty? The sauce didn't want to stick to the roll very much. Basil Ground Chicken: veggies are nicely blanched and the dish is very colorful! It's taken some time for me to write this because I needed to process what happened to me when I walked in this location on August 5th. I walked in a a little over a half hour before closing time. When I walked in I asked the worker (an older Asian man), if they were closed. He told me no, but they're only doing TO-GO orders. It made sense to me, and I wasn't planning on ordering food anyway. I wanted to order a tequila pineapple and sit for a second. Maybe 10 minutes after me, CLOSER TO CLOSING TIME, three people walk in. I repeat 3 PEOPLE. They were all white or asian. They were promptly seated and served 3 DISHES!!! Not TO-GO but inside the restaurant. I realized what was happening so when I got ready to leave I confronted the worker in a calm manner. I asked him, "Didn't you just tell me that you were only doing To-Go but these people came in later than me and all ordered and are eating??" He tried to tell me I told him I wanted To Go which I had to correct him and say "No... YOU told me that". He then tells me .... "If you want to order now, you can". I definitely got frustrated and said "No I will not order now, you are racist and rude". I walked out of the restaurant (I did pay for my drink before I confronted him). I am a Black woman in my early 20's, and I have been supporting Thai Bistro (in multiple locations) for a long time. Thai is my favorite food. It was a shame to experience this. Another Free food for my B day from my boss at work. She ordered from Thai Fusion. I am not an expert in Thai food cause I don't eat enough of it, but for what l've got it was alright. Not the best of this same dish I usually get like Zab Thai our in Everett or other Thai restaurant like Chada Thai. I ordered the swimming Rama with tofu and comes with side of rice and phad Thai . The presentation of the peanut sauce and Rama wasn't all that great and the spinach was soggy. Wasn't all that great. The phad Thai was ok, not as sweet as other restaurants, but it isn't dry and that is a plus. Literally just left this place and what a huge disappointment. There is a female that is sometimes there that is super nice, very respectful and provides great customer care. Today was Sak (a male far from a gentleman). The second I walked in I thought to myself that maybe I should take my business elsewhere because this guy makes me feel uncomfortable and usually dry and rude. I stayed anyways with a couple of coworkers and of course horrible service. Sak waited for ever to come back to take our order after sitting us. Once we received food Sak never came back to the table to see if there was anything else we needed like refills on water (which we noticed the other two tables that came in after us received) napkins since we only had one. As a matter of fact the only time Sak came back to the table was to place the bill down without a word and walked away. My cowoker asked Sak where was the restroom as Sak was walking away and without turning around and acknowledging her he just points towards a corner. We just could not figure out what or why we were receiving this type of service. I work near by and always inform coworkers that that is a good place to go to. I have been to Thai Fusion Bistro and recommended many others. Sak is not always there and like I stated earlier the female server is great. Today I had enough of being treated like a no one when I am spending my hard owned money with this establishment. For the first time EVER I decided enough is enough and I will not tip this rude unacceptable behavior. The second I put $0 under tip Sak YELLED at me like a child in front of all the other customers that "AFTER TODAY I WILL NO LONGER SERVE YOU BECAUSE YOU NEVER TIP". First of all this is furthest from the truth. This threw my back and and literally shocked the heck out of me. I explained (Which I should not have to) that I go out of my way to leave this man a tip EVERY time I go in there because I HATE to stereotype that black people do not tip. Not only do I leave him tips I usually leave 30-40% tip (if he knew how to calculate) on bad service. that I received no service. I also leave tips when I just doing a carry out. So this statement was shocking so it was the furthest from the truth. Sak had the audacity to tell me he has the right to refuse service and for me not to never to come back. This was not about me "not tipping him today". This was just a racist bully, who had an issue with my black money. Shame on you! Why would I go back after the way I was treated today? Nonsense. I was craving Thai and had a meeting in Northgate with very little time for dinner. Plus my 1 and 3 year old were with me. Thai Fusion was easy to get in to, staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was DELISH! I had Panang Curry with steamed rice and it was wonderful. I love the beauty of a Panang dish with the drizzle of coconut milk on this one made me smile as it was set on the table. The staff were super attentive to the fact that I was in a hurry and with kids and came over quickly with lidded cups for the kids and took my food to box it up the second I looked like I was ready to go. I couldn't wait until the next day when I could eat my leftovers for lunch, every bite was so deliciously perfect. I'll be back again and again. read more
