This is unlike any other Thai restraint. They do not call themselves the Thai Bistro. They ARE a Thai Bistro and the food is AMAZING with or without customizations. (Unlike Silverspoon) the food here is moist. Steamy and delicious. This is an especially nicely decorated restaurant. Hand painted pictures of Thai life as you come in. An impressive temple like sculpture in the middle. Open kitchen in the back. As a side note, impatient order out delivery customers, frowning as they wait for their orders. Appears take out is a focus of this business. Service was helpful. They were not busy at 5:30 pm. One other table. But the kitchen was quite busy with take out orders. This meant a longer wait for the items I ordered. 15 minutes for drink, 20 for lamb and another 15 minutes for soup. In the past, I have been here several times. Especially liked their appetizer of lamb satay with peanut sauce. Sat down and immediately ordered this and a lemon drop cocktail. The lemon drop appeared first. Lemony and had orange liqueur to add more citrus to the drink. I enjoyed this the best. Lamb satay came lukewarm and only two very slim lamb ribs. A small smidgen of salad of carrots, red onion and cucumber came with it, along with about two Tablespoons of peanut sauce. The small amount of lamb I got was very good, as was the sauce. But at 16.00 for this appetizer, eight dollars per rib is excessive. Next, I ordered the Tom Jurd soup. This has ground chicken, large pieces of tofu, vermicelli noodles, Napa cabbage, shiitake mushrooms in a clear broth. This came quite hot, which I loved. When first eating the soup, the tofu loomed large and unfriendly to soup, as in huge tofu icebergs. Very large pieces of tofu, which overpowered the dish. Other ingredients struggled for their role in the soup. Ground chicken was overcooked and tasteless. Very small amounts of mushrooms. Cabbage overcooked and very limp. I enjoyed the broth on this soup, think the other ingredients could have been allowed to simmer more in the broth. This would have given a more incorporated flavor to the soup. Each item of my order was 20.00 with tax and tip. So, 60.00 for a light dinner. Just don't feel like this is a reasonable price for what I received. Better quality and larger portions of food would justify the price tag. Server nagging to order more food was unwelcome. Felt as if they wanted me to order an expensive array of foods to please them. For a reasonable expense for a meal, do not recommend coming here. read more

I've ordered here several times the past. Always was great food, but overpriced (are noodles, sauce and a TINY bit of chicken worth $30?). This time it was $78 for two Pad Thais, some curry sauce and some lettuce roles for delivery. It was stale, noodles, dry chicken and gritty something... Absolutely awful. I received a partial refund because the Pad Thai wasn't edible. I absolutely CANNOT go there to pickup because the wait staff is rude and surely. So I end up using Uber Eats but never again. Really flavorful and textured eats, presented with pride by a wait staff that's confident. My family dined in on Christmas Day. I wish they had set up some portable heaters, or avoided seating us by the constantly opening front door, which let in cold air every time. There were only 2-3 occupied tables, so there were open tables by the kitchen. I would say the food was tasty, but a little out of balance. The Thai iced tea was too sweet; my lemongrass chicken was strongly flavored and needed herbaciousness. Food is good here, I like how my pad kee mao 有鑊氣, like I can taste the wok and flame in it. Even the broccoli absorbed the sauces and tasted so good. The flavorful noodles were soft and glutinous. It was savory with a tiny hint of spiciness, and the basils brought an extra fragrant to the dish. One thing I can think of to complain is that the beef was a bit over cooked and kind of chewy and dry. Other than that, it was a perfect pad kee mao. My partner ordered the pad Thai with extra egg because he's vegetarian and he didn't feel like to have tofu again. Pad Thai was good as we expected. I used to love pad Thai but now they seem a bit sweet to me so I go for pad kee mao/pad see ew/ba me hang. Fried spring rolls were also tasty. It was dense, stuffed with shredded cabbage and carrots, it was a good appetizer and snack. Pad see ew was "ok" according to gf and my yellow curry noodle was abhorrent. Curry consistency was that of saliva and the color was doo doo brown. Ive had yellow curry from several different thai places and its never looked or tasted like it does here. Most disappointing was the chicken. Gf got thin cuts in her pad see ew but i got chicken giblets. Little chicken giblets. Which means... if i wanted to absorb all the protein from my 17.95 dollar meal, i gotta slurp down a bowl full of soggy noodles sitting in spit-adjacent brown goo because the giblets are too small to pick out. My coworkers always order food from here, and I personally never really tried their food besides sampling off theirs (eheheh). Each time I've tried the food, they were reallly goood. But maybe it's because it was food that wasn't mine? LOL. But I finally got a full taste of one of their entrees during one work shift! The location that we go to is located across of Bartell Drugs and next to Starbucks at the back of the Gateway Plaza in Shoreline. There's a huge parking lot with ample parking. I got their Khao Soi with chicken, one of the street food dishes. It was a curry noodle dish which was more of a stew than a soup. But it also wasn't fully a curry. A hybrid of the two. The portions were HUGE. Sooo much food in the one plate. And the price wasn't too bad at all! The food was good! There was a lot of vegetables and protein that I thought there wasn't enough of the noodles LOL. Something that doesn't bother me as the curry helped supplement as the "base" with the noodles. It was a tad watery and the flavor was lacking a bit but overall great for the price and portions! I've tried many other things such as their Pad Thai, Ocean Pot, and Thai Basil Beef Salad from my coworkers, and they were all delicious! Especially the Ocean Pot. Super unique and almost like a seafood bake but not really. I definitely would be getting this next time! The restaurant has a VERY extensive menu and could get very overwhelming with all the different choices. The food is pretty good with HUGE portions that could be two meals rather than just one. Came on a Saturday after discovering that the restaurant is in this strip mall, hidden around the corner next to Starbucks. The friend I was meeting had been coming for years and she knew just what to order. I order the Rama combo with tofu, which does not ordinarily come with tofu but with chicken. They kindly agreed to make the substitute, because it wasn't very busy at the hour we were here. The combo came with brown rice, Pad Thai, and tofu Rama. The peanut sauce was terrific and the portions were great. It was a wonderful meal that also came with a little cup of soup, a few veggies and bits of tofu but vegetarians beware, it does have chicken. The inside is great (beautiful entry), but they are in my neighborhood so it's just easy to grab and go. My top items here are the fresh spring rolls (the peanut sauce that comes with this item is amazing), panang curry (spicy), and pad kee mao - all of them are the best. One woman always remembers my partner, asks about our kids, and generally remembers our order. When we stray from our usual order she will make a friendly comment about it. The staff are super friendly and the food is usually done within 30 minutes of ordering, even when busy. Inside, the lighting is nice, it can get a little loud sometimes but that's with any nice restaurant with a lot of people. Their menu is admittedly Americanized, but includes regional specialties from all over Thailand. Noodles, curries, fried rice, papaya salads, etc. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and they deliver. I have ordered from here several times when visiting Seattle, and am consistently impressed by the quality of food. Their Massaman Curry is on par with ones I've eaten in Bangkok, and they give you a huge container of it; enough for two meals. I also enjoy the thick, savory noodles in their Pad See Ew, and crisp Vegetable Fresh Rolls. Normally I am afraid to order Thai spicy, but theirs is not anything crazy.
