Everything was medium except the prik king which was ramped up to super spicy. Their spice level is legit. Khao soi included slices of chicken breast versus the fall off the bone chicken leg I'm used to. Our server was warm and friendly. The food was good. Yellow curry was very good, the pad see ew had good flavor, but no spice.... I did ask for medium. There was one person working and when we entered it seemed slammed. We sat quickly, but ordering was another subject. She took two to go orders before us, there's no drink menu and I did not feel comfortable asking questions. The food was effecient coming out, so... it clearly was not a kitchen problem. The whole place seems like storage for another restaurant. For the price point, I consider that. I got chicken, pad thai and crab fried rice to go. I had some requests on my order that they managed without issue. The presentation was fantastic... Very cute to go bag. I'm really enjoyed the food as well. I can't even begin to tell you how much food I throw away.Because the quality is inevitable in my opinion... But I finished all of this. They know how to strike the perfect balance in the pad thai seasoning. They use real crab in the fried rice... I know because I hit a shell piece. Still, it was a minor setback for a delicious dish. Wow, wow, wow! Was so excited to stumble onto this gem. I have celiac and eat vegan food. I never saw such a comprehensive menu that met my needs. The food was golden! I had papaya Pad Thai, yes no noodles! I felt so healthy after. We had this mushroom caviar that was popping! Meaning, super yum! Definitely coming back. I love this little local gem! Been here several times, for dinner and happy hour. They have a very extensive menu and a great happy hour menu, too! Have tried several different items; spring rolls, crab wontons, cashew chicken, a few of the curries, and pad Thai. Everything has been excellent. They've also got a full bar, which is nice. The same woman is always serving every time I've been. She's very friendly and efficient. I think she might be (one of?) the owners, because she is always the only server in the entire place. This is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Because there's just the one server, the service can be slow, and it can take her a little time to get to you. I had the black cod entree, The cod was amazing as was the very small bit of cucumber salad accompanying the entree. The rice was not pleasing. It was mushy on the bottom & I didn't like the type of rice. I may return & try another dish. Great, friendly, quick service. Our waters were never less than half empty. Cute, homey feel inside. The Pad Kee Mao was very unique. It seemed like it was a Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai fusion given the addition of the egg and creaminess of the sauce. The medium level was the perfect amount of spice to feel it but not overwhelm the other flavors. The tofu is amazing; it almost feels like it's battered. No why would I give a five star rating for just takeout? Well because this place made sure I fed seven people very well lol and actually the only reason there wasn't enough food is because everybody loved it so much they wanted seconds lol I had to try the pad Kee Mills, and two orders of the pod time the coconut curry lol. Actually it was the plantain curry that was also under the crowd pleaser was absolutely delicious, but the creamy crab wontons didn't even have a chance to get cold. They were gone so quickly. My favorite Thai restaurant in Edmonds! I love Po who regularly serves us. She brings our favorite drinks without us having to ask. Even our favorite foods! However today was her day off. A very nice young man took care of us. Food is always good and consistent. Today I had the pad Thai with crispy pork belly. I usually get it with fried tofu. It was good but the pork belly was a bit tough. Husband got the Panang Curry with tofu. He liked it and finished it. I ate 3/4 of mine and will finish the rest of it for tomorrow's lunch. Shrimp chips are always good especially with drinks. I highly recommend it. Actually everything I've had here is excellent! My husband and I always come back. Waiting for the ferry, I decided to get a quick meal to go around 2pm. I decided on a yellow curry with tofu. Ran back to my car and I was in my way. Unfortunately, when I drove onto the ferry and began eating I found this was absolutely inedible not overly hot or spicy. Just bad. Maybe one of the ingredients spoiled? I kind of appreciate food and cooking and I'll eat almost anything. This was awful. I don't know what happened but there is no way that this is what the chef intended. (I hope). Panang curry - 8/10 This was ok and all their curries start at medium spice. The sauce was more watery than thick, but spice was good. Crab wonton -7.5/10 Filling was ground "crab" w cheese and better than others. Wrapper was too thick and slightly greasy. Crab fried rice - 7/10 Tasty, but too much sauce or felt sticky. It barely had crab or other toppings. Serving felt smaller compared to others we've had. Phad see ew w pork belly- 6/10 Tasty but too sweet for this sweet tooth. Wish it had more egg it. The "crispy" pork belly was more chewy and soaking on the sauce, probably chicken wouldve been a better choice. Service - 7/10 We were seated quickly for a Saturday evening. Food took a while and they forgot one of our orders. Ambiance - 8/10 Casual, industrial design. Wall paper brick wall, indoor plants for sale when you open the door, clean casual feel. After another lunch option fell through I found Thai by Day on Yelp and decided to stop by. This place is located near the ferry terminal in Edmonds and is in a plaza next to Top Pot Doughnuts and Epulo Bistro. I ordered the phad thai with chicken ($13) with mild spice. You can choose between mild, medium, and spicy, but the mild didn't taste spicy at all. Also, the main flavor profile was sweet and I'm not a fan of sweet pad thais. It was saucy so it wasn't dry but that's my go-to when trying a new Thai restaurant and I wasn't a fan. I'm sure others like that but it's not for me. They also served shrimp chips as a snack which reminded me of when I was a little kid eating them growing up. Another interesting note is they have bidets in their restrooms. Literally my favorite Thai restaurant. Try the pork belly and pad Thai. The Thai tea is the best I've ever tasted.

I was pretty disappointed with this place. Had the pad thai and the fresh rolls. Neither was good. The fresh rolls lacked the basil/mint/cilantro trifecta, they had herbs but they just didn't taste good to me. Their peanut/hoisin sauce for the rolls also missed the mark, it was really watery and left the roll feeling dry in the mouth. The pad thai was also subpar. It was flat and not spicy despite ordering it medium. No extra peanuts and hardly any green onions/garlic chives. The portion size was fine, but certainly not large, which in my case given the quality was welcome. The upshot of the meal was the service, which was nice and attentive. So they got that going for them. I land at a 3.5 on a 10 scale. I came in with high hopes and left wondering what had happened. read more

Thai by Day is an excellent restaurant that offers many delicious dishes. With a small bar and plenty of seating. Located by the Downtown Edmonds train station and bus transit. The ambiance and decor is very warm and welcoming, setting the perfect scene for a nice meal or date! The food is amazing, my personal favorite is the Garlic chicken which comes with rice and is accompanied by some fresh greens (cabbage)! Their Chicken Phad Thai is also a great dish with lots of flavor and a good portion size. The service here is always fast, and accommodating but my favorite is how nice everyone is! Absolutely not recommended. Spent $50.00 for this: Temaki Fresh Roll appetizer that was one small roll cut into California Roll style pieces that were one mouthful each, at best. Complete ripoff for $9.00. Pumpkin Curry that was yellow colored water, zero flavor, a few small chunks of veggies, and I am not sure the pumpkin chunks were actually pumpkin. Zero flavor! Complete ripoff for $18.00. Crispy Garlic that was chunks of tofu covered with a sweet and very bitter garlic sauce. Not good at all. Garlic was burnt or something, because it was very bitter. Complete ripoff for $18.00. Only things that were good was the brown rice, the ice water, and the waitress was nice. We will not return and totally regret spending our $50.00 here. There are better Thai restaurants available. Skip this one. One star and not recommended. I would be very suspicious of the glowing reviews. read more

We came in as a two top and there were at least two standard height booths available. Unfortunately the hostess only offered us a two top bistro style (tall) table, which is extremely uncomfortable for someone of my height. I asked about the other standard height booths and the hostess said it would take her "15 minutes" to clear the table, even though she started grabbing the final dirty dishes off the table as we contemplated our non-existent options. We begrudgingly took the two top. I saw that she pulled this with nearly every couple that walked in. Anyways....we ordered one soup & one entree, nothing else. It literally took 20+ minutes to get our food. I was disappointed by my "crunchy garlic" entree, which said it was going to be placed on a bed of cabbage and served with rice. The cabbage was, literally, a very thin offering of uncooked shredded cabbage. The majority of the dish was the tofu protein option I had chosen...I've never had a crunchy garlic dish that didn't include cooked vegetables until now. The appearance of my place was a pile of tofu. I had even asked for extra garlic but that didn't seem to happen, nor did my request for medium-hot spice. It was barely spicy at all. read more

I went here because of the reviews. I was very disappointed. The firecracker shrimp were just wrapped fried shrimp served with a side of chili sauce. I ordered the fried spring rolls and the were just mushy inside with no authentic flavor. Tasted like frozen egg rolls out of a box. For the Pad Se Eew the noodles for a soggy, lumpy mess. The best part about it was the tofu, which was fried and sauced amazingly. Not authentic and definitely not a fusion restaurant. The table we sat at had a table next to us with a ton of boxes of mangoes on it. It was not a very clean or inviting atmosphere to eat in. read more

Wonderful menu with creative Asian fusion eats and lots of vegetarian options. Love the warm decor, and the plants really make the space inviting. Service was leisurely but efficient on a busy weekend lunch visit. They weren't great about modifications (forgot to leave off onions from one order, had to ask a few times for things they forgot to bring out), but we remained patient as there were only a couple people working on a fairly full house, and a steady flow of patrons picking up to-go orders as well. The chive dumplings were so tasty we couldn't help eating them too quickly even though they arrived piping hot fresh from the fryer. I also had the basil fried rice which was tasty with the Japanese pickles it came with. I no longer remember what my lunch date ordered, but she said it was all great.
