There is an outdoor seating area that is nice, but we won't be returning. It's amongst the worse Thai food we've had recently. The papaya salad was bland, we couldn't quite taste the sauce. The pad kee mao and pad thai were overly sweet. The pad thai was also very soggy. I'm not a great cook but I can make better pad thai than this. We came here and they happened to offer, complimentary food today and they will donate the gratuity to the Edmonds Food Bank. The deco is very family friendly and warm with open space and seating. They offered limited menu and we ordered the fresh rolls, corn croquette, Tom Kha, Pad Thai and Panang Curry. The service was friendly and upbeat. He ended up leaving there and going to Thai by Day to see if maybe I gave him the wrong restaurant name... Came here last Saturday night and I think we just missed the rush hour. Most of the tables were occupied with 3 empty tables but the dirty dishes had not been cleaned up yet. There was only one woman managing the entire floor, no other waiters. They close everyday at 9pm even on the weekends. Located by the Edmonds Kingston Ferry, this spot seems to be a quite popular choice, including for takeout orders. True to their promise as a "Modern Thai Fusion" restaurant, looking at their menu we flipped the page back and forth repeatedly - everything sounded so interesting! I probably would have lost control and ordered too many things if only I wasn't just fresh out of a major dental surgery the day before. They have the traditional staples like Pad Thai, Tom Kha Gai soup, Pad See Ew etc.. but also offer fusion dishes like Green Curry Agedashi Tofu, Tonkatsu Green Curry & Young Coconut, and even Chicken Biryani (Kao Mok Gai). Price is definitely on a higher side, all the entrees are ranging between $13-16 and appetizers are around $7-$10.50. They served you a complimentary snack of garlic shrimp crackers which my husband ate all of them in no time at all since I temporarily lost my ability to bite on hard food - I did try a tiny piece and it was okay. We ordered the Chicken Satay that was marinated in coconut milk, curry and cilantro; served with a generous helping of peanut sauce. I ate one skewer and again he ate the rest. The curry seasoning is quite strong. He really loved the peanut sauce. 4 skewers for $10.50 is pricey. I had Phad Mee Gati, which was a stir fried rice vermicelli noodles with bean sprouts and minced chicken creamy coconut curry. Argh, the vermicelli noodles are pink-colored.. made me happy! And let me tell you that the creamy coconut curry is pretty good, such a comfort food. I didn't really know the proper way to eat the dish so I just mixed them all together. One minor thing is that I didn't like the fact that the bean sprouts were served raw so I just gave them to hubby to enjoy. He ordered the Phad Prik King Moo Krob which is the crispy pork belly with chili paste and bell peppers. Came in an iron plate but it was not sizzling when it came to the table. He really liked his dish a lot. Quite generous portion and he wasn't able to finish it so we doggy-bagged it. If you come here, you should get the Sea Salt Tea Cream Top (dear God it's freaking amazing). Would love to come back here just for this drink alone. Hubby got the Lychee Thai Tea (lychee-infused Thai tea), sounds amazing but it's basically just Thai Tea with lychees in it. We like it as well, but my Thai Tea with the sea salt cream top is the clear winner. Saw my hubby's face a few times watching me drink it and wanting to ask me if he could have a few sips again, but he didn't have the heart to ask me considering I was in discomfort and had limited options of food and drinks that I could enjoy, and I pretended I didn't notice his puppy-eyed face cause I like the damn drink too much hahah. We also ordered their Samurai Fried Rice for to go. Basically it's Thai Fried Rice with shrimp lumpia, it's pretty standard to me. All the entrees taste very fresh and flavorful. Not disappointing, with the exception of the satay which was also kind of standard. We randomly stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a different Thai restaurant in Edmonds. We were pleasantly surprised! We accidentally ordered a bottle of cucumber sake, but it was a great mistake to make! (I actually recommend making this mistake). I was positive I got my point across that I wanted it as spicy as they could make it, turned out to be an American 1*, or a Thai no*, added a little fish sauce & some Vietnamese chilis, now we're talking! The restaurant is new, and is located next to the Cascadia Art Museum with plenty of parking. I was sat down quickly and was given some free tasty shrimp chips. I ordered the Chicken Pad See Eiw Noodle with a Sea Salt Tea Cream Top (Thai Ice Tea). The food came out pretty quick and it was super delicious.
