Went for the pad Thai and it was ok. Wish it was sweeter, more mild. Good and authentic, but miss the cabbage and extras like cucumber that some places offer. Ordered mild and it was still a bit hot. Spring rolls were good and got the sampler which was great. My biggest surprise and delight of the meal was the vegetable empanada, very good! So this is a restaurant that changed hands a few times I first went here about 13 years ago at that time it was very authentic and the food was delicious, the service was impeccable. My last trip here was completely different. The decor is the same decor hasn't changed. It was noon on a weekday, and the restaurant was completely empty. I was the only person there. It took a long time to get servers server who I assume was "the son" as described in other reviews,. I asked the server if they had different levels of richness which some restaurants offer, however the question seem to throw him for a loop. I then asked if the Pho came with a side of lime, jalapeños, and basil. He said it did not that the herbs just came inside the broth. I asked if I could get a side of jalapeños, lime and basil, and to hold the bean sprouts. My pho arrived and my side plate was heaped with bean sprouts. The broth didn't have that deep richness of flavor, it was bland. This is any basic chicken soup broth. The noodles are overcooked and gummy. It was not worth it $16 price tag. As I was eating, an older gentleman came into the dining room and again I was the only person there, he walks up to my table and he says " yeah, you look like a trouble maker " so I assumed the server had been talking ill about me. The gentleman then asked which car I drove that was parked outside, and when I told him which car he then began to compare my car to cheaper brands of cars. It was a very odd exchange, and it felt like some sort of attempt to make me feel less than. I thought to myself does it matter what I'm driving. I'm the only customer sitting in the restaurant spending money. Felt very petty. This guy could definitely be nicer. I think the name (and menu) must have changed as there are no burgers in either now! But we were there for the Thai anyway!! We shared the spicy chicken wings and wontons for appetizers and added the peanut sauce on the side which was all delicious! The service was super friendly and efficient answering any questions we had along the way! For entrees we had yellow curry, pad Thai and pad ew see all with chicken although my daughter did order beef with hers but we chose to let that go. The food was perfect and two of the three of us had enough to bring a little home for a lunch, but the servings were not overwhelming. The place is small with some beautiful Thai wall hangings and pictures - definitely on the casual side. We're planning to try them with Grubhub so the rest of the family can try! read more

Brava Thai Dish Must stop when driving through Nee England. Minutes off Rte.8 N. Welp. The regulars know when I forget pics that's a good thing. We only ordered two things as a test. We can tell if the pineapple fried rice and spring rolls are good the rest is for sure and these were the best I've ever had. The pineapple fried rice (veggies only) was fresh, chock full of veggies, pineapple and cashews. Sweet bit not too sweet, spicy but gentle... just delicious! I can't comment on much aside from the food, but we felt like it was really good! I loved my Thai iced tea and I got pad Thai with shrimp, which was delicious. Perfect noodle to sauce ratio for me. I passed this restaurant headed to Southbury. I was definitely intrigued by the title. Simple but very diverse. I made a mental note and decided to try them the next time I passed by. I am so glad I made the decision to do so. I managed to catch their lunch special. I enjoy the fact that it comes with a couple of appetizers. One crab Rangoon, one spring roll and 2 fried wontons. Because the wontons contain chicken, I asked the woman over the phone if I could exchange them for their Thai vegetable dumplings. She obliged with ease. I also decided to try the mussel curry. Everything was delicious. But the mussel curry was amazing!. I would go there just for that dish alone. The curry sauce had a hint of coconut and a nice kick. The drunken noodles were pretty good, flavored nicely. I ordered the drunken noodles with shrimp. I believe there were three pieces. It was a large portion for a lunch serving in my opinion. I still had leftovers. If you ever find yourself in this area, I highly recommend this establishment. read more

This might just be my new favorite Thai place! This was my second or third time ordering and they never followed my order notes hence the loss of one star. Updating because the business changed owners / name and it's worse than last time. I usually go to a few other local Thai places, but they are closed on Sunday. This place was the only one open on a Sunday. Ordered takeout. Had Crab Rangoon and Pad Thai. The food is not good at all. I cannot recommend this restaurant. The Crab Rangoon filling was straight up diced imitation crab meat. I know most places do this, but the other places tend to blend in more cream cheese so it's not obvious. It's like they chopped up the imitation crab and used that as a filling. Worst crab rangoon I've ever had. Onto the Pad Thai. It had absolutely no flavor, it was watered down or something. Stopped by today for a late afternoon lunch (pre-dinner?). Took everything to go- Thai spring rolls, fried wontons, chicken pad broccoli and a hot dog and fries. The price tag was a positive- just over $36 for our order. I was worried I ordered too much - but my family devoured everything save for a few onions and pieces of carrot. My son ate the broccoli from the pad Thai and he doesn't eat ANY vegetables, so I will probably return often to pick up ANYTHING prepared with broccoli. There only appeared seating for a few small parties, but I think take out is their forte. I look forward to trying more dishes. I will definitely keep Thai dish and burger in mind for future take out orders. They also deliver for a small fee on orders over $30. read more

This restaurant reopened Sep 1 as Thai Dish (ditch the Burger!) and is even better with new management, refreshed decor and amenities, and a new (and greatly improved) menu. I have been there several times since (only for take-out at this time) and am not disappointed. The dishes are fresh (not just quality but also new recipes beyond the usual Pad Thai) and generous. Fantastic food and delightful staff. We stopped in prior to a show at the Strand Theatre and told the lady we only had 30 minutes and she made sure we were well-fed and on-time for the show. Our order of chicken satay skewers (cooked perfectly), spring rolls (tasted fresh), pad thai (great balance of peanut flavor without overpowering the dish), drunken noodles (the spicyness was delicious and noodles weren't oily), and massaman curry (delightfully surprised to see sweet potatoes instead of carrots) were on the table as soon as each dish was ready. We spent the evening debating our favorite dishes. We also ordered a Thai iced tea and a taro bubble tea to-go. The bubble tea was also a delicious surprise - not many boba but it was a mix of bubble tea and a slushy. Even more charming than the food, was the staff. They were polite and knew their regulars by name. A few tables but seemed to be mostly takeout orders - we sat at a table that could easy fit 6-8 and there was no waiting on a Saturday evening at 6pm. I would absolutely go back. read more

I ordered a cheeseburger and pineapple fried rice with chicken. I wanted to see what a Thai burger would look like. It was a tiny tasteless burger. No seasoning, pickles , ketchup etc. I love Thai food so I was excited to sample the fried rice, one of my favorites. I've had better and I've had worse. I took it to a nearby park so I could eat with scenery. That did t happen because they gave me no napkins or eating utensils. My family had a near perfect experience here. The food was well prepared and portions were generous. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We were just two so we ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and split it. We also split an order of spring rolls. I also had the chicken coconut soup. These are things we often buy at other Thai restaurants, so we could compare. It was all great. The ONLY bothersome thing was the parking ... they have a very small parking lot which was completely full when we got there (even though the restaurant was almost completely empty) ... but we got lucky and someone pulled out just as we pulled in. One other negative (for me): a TV in the dining room. I was never a fan of that .... Really, this is now going to be our go-to place for Thai food. We have driven by this restaurant for several years and finally gave a try. Best Thai food and amazing service! We have enjoyed the pad Thai, awesome drunken noodles, curries, stir fry beef and string beans, larb salad and vegetable fried rice. We have only done take out and food is ready in 20 minutes and hot even when we get home. No need to go into New Haven or NYC for a great Thai meal. read more

I've had Thai food at so many different restaurants (even in Thailand!) and I was thoroughly impressed with this place. The ambience is more casual, but don't let that fool you. There are so many options on the menu, and prices are affordable. I tried the crab rangoon, drunken noodles with chicken (extra spicy), and tom yum. The crab rangoon was crispy and flavorful, the noodles were some of the best I've ever had, and the tom yum soup had a nice kick to it. The food is definitely authentic and full of flavor. read more

Unfortunately, the quality of service here has gone way down. The last few times we've come, the order has taken far longer than they said it would - more than double. The most recent was the worst... placed an order and was told half an hour, showed up forty five minutes later, and still sat for forty five minutes waiting to pickup. Could have placed an order elsewhere, picked it up, and been home eating in that time. If it had happened once or twice I'd be happy to chalk it up to a busy night, but this has become the new standard of operation. Total shame, love the food. Got takeout here for a picnic! You could smell the cinnamon and Thai tea from down the street, it was incredible. The chicken pad Thai was delicious. I ordered the tom yum large noodle bowl soup with chicken only - it was super fresh and flavorful and not to mention HUGE . Just the amount of heat for me. My son got the burger and fries (what all toddlers enjoy) and the burger was very good lots of flavor and juicy too - his fries more ok (we did take out) so they got a bit soggy. My Husband and I decided to come check this place out. The inside was very clean and comfortable. Food came put fast and was DELICIOUS. It's hard to find good Thai food in the area but this place really hit the mark. We ordered the appetizer sampler and it was perfect for two people. I ordered the beef pho and my husband got the pad Thai with a spicy level 3. The broth for the beef pho was very flavorful and the pad Thai was quite good as well. We like the pad Thai sauce a little stronger in flavor but we still liked how they prepared their's. The appetizers were nice and crispy but not overly greasy and the crab Rangoon was made with real crab. This place is also BYOB so we brought a nice bottle of wine and it made for a really nice evening. One note I have is that they go heavy on the spice.
