First, Jasmine and Jeffrey (the owners) are great with guests which explains why they have a loyal following. If you're a late diner, you'll be treated to the sight of Jeffrey stepping out from behind the sushi bar to do sake bombs with some of his regular guests. Courteous and attentive staff. Great specials, creative and well executed sushi rolls (and they don't all taste the same!), good selection of hot or cold sake, beer, wine and mixed drinks. Highly recommend when you need a sushi fix.

I came with three of my friends one who recommended we eat here before a theatre show. We started off with a few appetizers that we shared then went in for various plates of rolls, sushi and fried rice we all enjoyed our dinners and the service was great. We received the best attention from staff members that kept our water glasses full, empty plates cleared, asked if we wanted cocktails replenished and always polite and smiles. The sushi was very fresh and delicious. The plated presentations were attractive. I will definitely return and recommend.

The side order of seaweed salad was small but very tasty.

On the busy Post Road in Milford there is a small sushi restaurant with a impressive menu of Japanese entrées, bento boxes, and a huge array of wonderful sushi and sashimi. It is actually located in Turnpike Square next to the Sikorsky credit union. The restaurant is very clean, the service is good, and the sushi is fresh. We ordered the seaweed salad and edamame for appetizers. The vegetable soba and broth was a good size and tasty. The dragon roll was beautifully presented and delicious. We were disappointed with the very small quantity of eel in the roll. Overall, they have a phenomenal lunch menu and while the we were there there was quite a bit of takeout too.

As a frequent visitor of Momo Sushi in Milford, CT, I must say that this restaurant continues to amaze me every time I visit. I have to give a special shout-out to the chef, Jeffrey, whose exceptional skills and attention to detail never fail to impress. The omakase at Momo Sushi is always a standout experience. Every time I go, I'm blown away by the creative and delicious dishes that Jeffrey and his team prepare. The freshness and quality of the fish is simply unmatched, and the presentation is always beautiful. But what keeps me coming back to Momo Sushi, beyond the incredible food, is the homey and friendly atmosphere. The staff are always welcoming, and they remember me and my preferences each time I visit. It feels like a community here, and it's clear that Jeffrey and his team truly care about their customers. If you're a sushi lover in Milford, you simply have to check out Momo Sushi. Whether you're in the mood for omakase or a la carte sushi, you won't be disappointed. And if you're lucky, you may even get to see Jeffrey in action, creating his masterful dishes with precision and care. Ask for a sake bomb at the end too for some laughs to end an amazing meal! I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

    Peanut Avocado Roll

I want to start by saying I am so torn by MoMo. I have read all of the reviews, but the restaurant does not enthuse me as it does other reviewers. I have been to MoMo on multiple occasions and each time have just found it okay. Yesterday, my mom and I were doing some shopping around Milford and decided to give MoMo another try. I started with a peanut avocado roll, which was very tasty. Usually, the roll only comes with peanuts and avocado, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found a small bit of peanut butter included in the roll. It was a nice touch. My mom started with a kani salad, which had great flavor, but the portion size was extremely small. For dinner, my mom had pad thai with chicken, which she indicated had good flavor, but the chicken was rubbery, and again a small portion size. I had vegetable pad thai, and while again, the flavor was good, it had absolutely no vegetables in it. It seemed as though they just gave me plain paid thai. When we asked the waitress if it was supposed to come with vegetables in it (like all of the other times I have ordered vegetable pad thai from other restaurants), she said she was going to ask the chef. She never came back. So, I am truly not sure if there were supposed to be vegetables in it or not, but if not, they should just rename the meal to pad thai. While the waitstaff was fine, no one that greeted us seemed overly enthusiastic or friendly. Overall, I think MoMo is a fine restaurant in a pinch, but would not say I am overly excited to recommend anyone to try it. I will also probably not be back.

    Chicken udon
    Omnialyce ..

First time eating here - The food was fine. The udon was a bit cold when served - would have appreciated if it was hot or warm. The shrimp tempura was crispy to my liking. Sangria (not pictured) was really good and would order again. Our waiter made us a bit anxious coming back and forth every other minute. Couldn't even really look through the menu and decide without feeling pressure to figure out what we wanted. Also had to shoo away small flies flies from around my food. Overall the service was prompt, food was average. I would certainly come back for drinks and maybe sushi next time.

Love this place! Sushi is always extremely fresh, staff is very nice and price is reasonable! Even on very busy nights they keep the crowd moving and get people in quickly. I've done take out and dine in many times, takeout is always just as fresh and good. The owner was nice enough to give my husband a free beer when the wait time for pick up was longer than expected. Very attentive staff despite the large crowds. Love this place!!!

I have been to Momo Sushi for a couple of times now and have enjoyed every experience. I mainly writing this review for their specialty rolls and Sashimi, so I can't speak too much about their other entrees. Although, miso soup came with one of our orders and it isn't something very remarkable. The dessert is also something I would pass on. I got the tempura ice cream and wasn't fried very well. The mochi ice cream is better bought from the store. In general their portion sizes,in terms of their rolls, are a lot smaller than other sushi places I have been to.They make their rolls with a thin layer of rice, so you will need to eat a lot more pieces than you're use to. However, I have found that the freshness of the fish something to be worth coming back for. I am sensitive to raw fish and can usually only handle a little and can eat more when they're more fresh. If the fish isn't fresh I usually feel sick within the hour. I have not had that happen here at Momos, with the exception when I overate the amount I tolerated. On about three occasions, my party would order at least 6 rolls and they usually brought it out on a nice boat. I have also ordered the Sashimi combination once and it was described to be a lot bigger than what we saw. They had like over 6 different kinds of fish, but only one to two pieces each. Needless to say it is not meant to be shared with more than 2 people. The restaurant isn't too large, but it does have a nice atmosphere. In my experience, I have found the employees to be friendly and attentive. They definitely never let your water cup go empty or leave you too long before taking your order. After getting over the portion sizes of their sushi, it is a good spot that consistently delivers fresh sushi. The prices are also a bit more expensive for the size, but you pay for quality.

    Three roll lunch special

Great sushi spot in Milford! I stopped by for lunch and took advantage of their lunch specials. Pick up was quick and easy. I ordered the Salmon Sushi Lunch (4 salmon sushi, 1 spicy salmon roll) and the three roll special (spicy salmon, spicy tuna, yellowtail) and everything was fresh and tasty. The rice sort of melts in your mouth and lets the flavor of the fish shine. My one complaint is that the rolls were very small. I'm not sure if this is unique to COVID times (I do understand this is a tough time for many businesses), but for the price I should have been a lot fuller than I was.

If you're a fan of poke bowls, Natural Kitchen is a spot that absolutely deserves a visit. I…read morerecently stopped in and ordered their signature bowl, The Triforce, and it was hands-down the best poke bowl I've ever had. The Triforce is loaded with tuna, salmon, and shrimp, paired with fresh pineapple and crisp cucumber, then topped with kani salad, seaweed salad, green onion, and roasted seaweed. Everything is brought together (sitting on top of your choice of rice, I chose sushi rice) with their poke special sauce and sweet chili sauce, which adds just the right balance of savory and sweet without overpowering the seafood. What really stood out was the freshness of every ingredient in the bowl. The fish tasted incredibly clean and high quality, the pineapple added a bright pop of sweetness, and the seaweed and kani salad gave the bowl a great mix of texture. Every bite felt perfectly balanced, and you could tell that nothing had been sitting around -- it all tasted freshly prepared. Beyond the food, the experience was great as well. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable from the moment I walked in. It's always nice when a place combines excellent food with genuinely good service. Overall, Natural Kitchen completely exceeded expectations. Between the incredibly fresh ingredients, the well-thought-out flavors in the Triforce bowl, and the friendly staff, this place has quickly become a must-visit for poke lovers in the Milford area. Coming in on a quiet Monday afternoon I sat at the Sushi bar and ordered a Salmon Toro Tartare, Sashimi Dinner, Tiger Roll, one order of Sashimi Madai and a hot tea. The customer service experience was just as off putting as I had remembered, the server making me feel rather unwelcome and bothersome as one of only three patrons dining which was a very uncomfortable feeling as a customer dining alone. The Sushi and Sashimi themselves were of some of the lowest quality I've had, absolutely comparable to any AYCE sushi restaurant. I was very disappointed to say the least, extremely over saturated, moist, falling apart texture and a lacking in vibrant color. The flavor profiles of course where just as you'd expect from what's been described and to note these have to be the smallest slices of Sashimi I have ever been given and first time received 1 piece in a à la carte Sashimi order. The "Madai" or "Red Snapper" they advertise is Izumi Dai a farm raised Tilapia. Overall, I feel it hard to find many positives to take from my experience at I Sushi House, it seems like some sort of mistake this has become one of if not they highest rated sushi restaurant in the area amongst some of the finest establishments in the state. The cost to meal ratio was overpriced and extremely under quality, the dish's lacked in preparation, presentation or passion and the service made me feel unwelcome. 4.1/10 can't fathom this establishment being ranked as highly as some of what is available in this area.
