I recently visited Red Lotus Japanese Restaurant and had the chicken katsu and mango chicken. The chicken katsu tasted very similar to a classic cutlet--crispy on the outside and satisfying. The mango chicken was really great and had a nice balance of sweetness and flavor. The interior of the restaurant is pleasant and comfortable, making it a good place to sit and enjoy a meal. The service is okay--not bad--but the main issue is that server showed rushed

This is one of my new favorite restaurants. We ordered a few items and shared. We started with the cold noodles with peanut sesame sauce. Wow was this delicious and flavorful. We also ordered a couple rolls: spring sunshine roll and spicy tuna. Both were really good! My favorite was the entree: Szechuan crispy beef. We also got a side of white rice. This dish is one of the best things I've eaten. So delicious and flavorful. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was amazing. I will definitely be returning. This place is a must!

This past week I went out to Red Lotus for lunch with my cousin. We arrived and after a couple of minutes were seated as we seemed to be the first ones there shortly after they opened. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was I liked the restaurants atmosphere, it was pretty relaxed and our booth was nice and large. Our waitress came by, very friendly and took our drink orders. We ordered a few appetizers to start. We began with gyoza, Nia's dumplings, and a crispy duck salad. I didn't try the gyoza but my cousin said it was good. Nia's dumplings were great, they were steamed dumplings with pork, shrimp, and chives. The crispy duck salad was excellent! I simply wish they had used a spring mix instead of plain lettuce, which I think would have made it amazing. We went with two rolls a piece, my cousin got a California roll and I believe a spicy crab roll, which she was a fan of. I tried the American valley roll and a Paradise roll and both were fantastic! Both rolls had shrimp tempura, the paradise roll had lobster salad and mango while the American valley roll had crab and tempura flakes on top. I really was pleased with the quality of these rolls! I had a great time with my cousin, the food was very nice, and our waitress was really nice and attentive! I enjoyed going to Red Lotus and look forward to doing it again! If you are feeling like some sushi give their specialty rolls a try.

The restaurant is in a plaza. I went on a weekday so it was not busy. It was nice and clean inside. The food was great and the service was great! I have no critiques. The gyoza was the best I've ever had. I'm not sure if they make it in house or where they get them but they were amazing. The baby octopus salad did make me feel like a barbarian haha! Everything was super flavorful! My only regret is that I didn't have any room for dessert!

Chicken, shrimp and eggplant. No spice. Mediocre flavor.

Typical "Asian" place that serves a plethora of Asian dishes across numerous styles, with decent but not impressive results. I wanted a comfort food-type dinner and found this place as somewhere that delivers. I got the szechuan chicken, shrimp, and eggplant dish along with the "spicy" crab salad. The flavors were pretty underwhelming with very little heat and the flavors not being strong enough. It had basics of a good dish but really lacked the strong, savory flavors that you would expect from these dishes. The crab salad was very bland. Would not recommend. I gave it 3 stars only because it seems like there isn't much of an Asian food scene here so this may be on the better side of options.

Probably the best gyoza I've ever had. The avocado shrimp appetizer was awesome. Staff was great!

Great service, great food. Must have the peking duck sliders, taste just like what i ate in Beijing. Raw sushi specialty rolls seemed limited (not including the day specials) but the cooked one i had was great. Would recommend.

Sweet Potato Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll

My wife wanted to have Asian food for our anniversary and this place had been on my to try list forever. Glad I made a reservation because it was packed for the entirety of our Saturday night dinner. Menu was very large. We had a couple of rolls for an appetizer and then shared two entrees. Both rolls were great, with the tempura batter adding a nice texture to the sweet potato. Pad Thai was fairly standard and straightforward. Prawns were massive and well fried, but a little bland. Was expecting more of a honey walnut sauce as opposed to a few glazed walnuts mixed into the shrimp and random raw vegetables. Fortunately it had a creamy dipping sauce that worked very well for the fries shrimp. Would definitely come back.

Came here for my husband's birthday. Food was great, service was quick. I got a wonderful noodle dish and sweet potato rolls. Have come back since and loved the orange chicken as well

Lots of great seafood options! Service was very quick and helpful! The sushi was fresh with some rare offerings, including Toro. Everything is very tasty and probably the best sushi place in town. The only disappointment was the Chilean Seabass. Not sure if the breading Was worth it since it made it a little bit dried out. I much prefer the full flavor of just steamed Sea bass.

While in the area for a computer repair, I figured it was a perfect day for some ramen…read more I stumbled upon Terayama and the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen caught my eye as I haven't seen this offered on a menu anywhere around here. The broth was creamy and smooth like a typical Tonkotsu Broth but the added spiciness really removes or supresses the comforting part of this dish. I mean this in the best way possible, it was delicious and now I will be adding spice to my Tokotsu Ramen that I order from a place much more local to me. The broth also was not too salty which was sometimes an issue with me ordering Tonkotsu Ramen in the past. The pork slices were nice and thin and had a nice texture to it as well. The noodles were not overcooked either. A very well done Ramen dish. I decided to order the Butabura Donburi to go. This consisted of a pork rice bowl with caramelized soy sauce, scallion, tamago and sesame seeds. The pork was cooked perfectly and this dish was full of savory flavors. The rice was also "QQ" as some asians would say. For translation just think of QQ for rice the same as Al Dente for pasta. Learning new things every day, will probably be my last time saying QQ but this rice was QQ, straight out of a Zojirushi Rice Cooker. Anyways, before I get too deep into things only Asians would understand or care about, Terayama was quite the perfect stop for me in my long drive to get my computer fixed. All their food was done right and it was just the perfect place to stop in to get welcomed by knowledgeable and comforting staff on a cold day. Quite the hole in the wall but I'm glad I found it. Until the next time Terayama. Keep it QQ.

Was skeptical as many local restaurants do the bare minimum to satisfy local palates, straying from tradition. But not here! Broth is a key indicator of good ramen and this has a few good layers of flavor. The Thai tea wasn't too sweet. Worth checking out, I look forward to coming back when that ramen craving hits.
