This is by far the worst sushi restaurant that we have been to, and we have been to a lot. First the server was so rude and abrupt, she rudely removed our wallet to clear the table, then the ramen that we ordered tasted like water with boiled chicken pieces. my dishwash water probably would have more flavor than this. we barely touched it, my daughter feeling bad about it, asked to just box them to avoid being rude. When the server boxed our soup, she then slammed them on the table near her... (not our table!) and said "here"!! I should not have left any tip at all. What a shame. WOW!!! For me to rate a restaurant as "Great" is very rare, but this place deserves it. FOOD: Everything was excellent from the Miso soup to the bibimbap... Everything tasted so authentic, and their sauces are all homemade with what seemed like very little sodium. SERVICE: we were served by the owner, and she made us feel like royalty! Attentive to our every need, and attentive to placement of utensils, food trays, glasses etc... at one point I dropped my napkin, and she raced over and gave me a new one (who does that?) AMBIANCE: Small interior with +_ 8 or so tables. Very clean and did not have a heavy odor of oils and spices, but rather clean and pleasant. My best friend and I went to sushi 2020 on a Saturday. The resturant was not too busy, although it seemed like they were doing a lot of takeout and we were promptly seated. The hostess was the sweetest and was telling us about how they make their soy sauce homemade. It truly seemed like a family atmosphere and the workers were proud of what they offer. For an appetizer, we ordered steamed dumplings which were amazing and full of flavor and for dinner we both got sushi. The sushi was fresh, flavorful and truly enjoyable. I was looking for sushi during my recent business trip, and I found this place... with an odd name. When I think of 2020, I think of Covid shutting down restaurants all over. I don't know if this place opened in 2020 or where the name comes from... but it doesn't matter! This place is really good the sushi tasted fresh. Very fresh. It was presented beautifully. The owner was very sweet. I was the only one in the restaurant at the time, but as I sat and ate, bag after bag of food was getting picked up for people to take home. It is owned and run by a husband and wife team who obviously take pride in their restaurant. They should! Many of the sauces are homemade like the soy sauce. Which was delicate and really enhanced the salmon/avocado roll. I had combo dish chicken ramen and salmon/avocado roll. My husband had bibimbap in a heated stone bowl. That is pork and vegetables on top of rice. The rice against the stone bowl gets charred and crispy adding interesting texture. Mix it all up for a delicious bite. The name of the restaurant undersells the breadth of the dishes available to diners. This is a pleasant and clean restaurant with an attentive server. read more

Very good sushi! I'm picky when it comes to sushi rice (both taste and amount used) and this is spot on! The owners are both cooking and waiting tables/taking orders. Both times we've been here (once for eat in, one for take out), sushi orders took quite some time but it's worth it--especially if you know it will be a bit. We were told 30 minutes for take out and it was 45. Next time I'll just hang back at home before heading to get our order. The Sikorsky roll special (3 rolls) is a great value and very tasty. My kid loved the spicy roll special (3 rolls), also a good value. And spouse loves the 2021 roll! On top of being well prepared, this is fairly affordable for sushi. Our family recommends! read more

Korean food was not good, waitress is rude as hell, putting her hands up to her ears with children laughing, attitude bc I asked if we could sit together with another family. She shaped up when I started to visibly show how annoyed I was with her behavior but of course went right back to being a bitch after I tipped 20%. Just had such a good takeout experience!! Our food was ready in 20 mins. I got a spicy salmon roll and a salmon avocado roll. The way sushi spots pack takeout sushi always bugs me how everything is so squished together but I really enjoyed how they did this. They even wrap the soy sauce and soup in plastic wrap just in case l! My bf got the Sikorsky special combo (lol) it came with shrimp tempera (Huge!!!), cali roll and a salmon avo roll. I felt the prices were fair for fresh yummy sushi, while some other places would make you feel ripped off. We didn't eat there, the inside is tiny but cute and clean. I've been back a few times already and - OOOppss - MY BAD, forgot to mention they do serve alcohol - Saki and Korean Wine "SOJU". The Soju comes in a small bottle (approx 12 oz.) that is SO SMOOOOTH. It's about 1/2 the alcohol content to that of vodka (40% abv). You drink it in a SHOT GLASS. Before the end of your dinner you may be on your third bottle and not knowing it because it's nicely chilled and did I say - SO SMOOOOTH. They have the traditional non flavored wine similar taste like Grey Goose Vodka and/or fruit flavored like peach, grape, strawberry etc. . My wife loves the different fruit flavored SOJU which is similar to a light Riesling Wine. Yep, it's a great touch to compliment your meal on a hot day or evening. So Chill Out - Life is good. Wow. What a great new addition to the area. We love Korean food (and sushi) but dislike the drive to New Haven to get it. 15 minutes away, this gem with a strange name pops up. The interior decor is very pleasant. The hostess / waitress (who I assume is the owner) was very attentive, service was great. We had the Bulgogi, which IMO was better than any of the other places I've tried. The ginger dressing on the salad is "homemade" and very tasty. The chicken Raman was also very very good. Both varieties of the Korean style dumplings (pork, kimchi) were great as well. I'm not much of a Sushi fan but the avocado/salmon roll that was very fresh and very good, better than the all-you-can-eat spots. Will definitely be back again. Update: went a second time, tried the Bibimbap and Seafood Ramen. Both were fantastic. My stepdaughter accompanied us this time. She obsessed over Kimchi, there is ALWAYS a jar in the fridge. Her statement, the Kimchi is hands down the best she ever had. We all also tried the honey citron tea, without doubt the best tea we have ever had. Honey/ citron orange and lemon and ginger green tea. If I could make tea at home that tastes this good I would drink it every day. A+ read more

TLDR: Don't order sushi from this place. You'll be ripped off. I've ordered food from here twice. The first time, it was $40-ish for two people; a sushi roll, a salad, edemame, and the bulgogi. For sushi and four things, that's not bad. The food was average, I'd give it another go. I stress the sushi, for what is given, is pretty decent. Not great, but better than usual market/convenience store sushi. Then I ordered from here a second time. And wooooo did that not go well. I ordered two sushi rolls; the spicy yellowtail and the samurai. Apparently their popular items. I was ordering for someone else, so I didn't get to see the food, I didn't eat the food, and I didn't stick around to hear about it. Come three hours later. I meet up with the person I got the sushi for, and they were pissed! Apparently the sushi rolls were almost all rice! They work late and have a long commute, like a lot of CT people. They were looking forward to a treat. Instead, they ate mostly rice and ended up with a stomachache. Not because the sushi was bad, but because they were angry. For context, here's some pics of the yellowtail roll. Looks nice with the sauce, right? Well look under, there's almost no stuffing. Even the fish has rice in it! The samurai roll fish filling was the same. Compare this to a place like Sushi X or Stop and Shop. Stop and Shop sushi is bursting with fish... but I get store sushi isn't the same as restaurant-grade. At Sushi X, the sushi is made-to-order and restaurant-grade. Sushi X has less fish than Stop and Shop sushi, but not by much. The only time the sushi tends to be thin in filling is when you order those more expensive sushi, and only because the roll is topped with more fish. Then this place. Can you imagine a fancy roll from here? Can you imagine the same or less filling than this? I went in to explain what happened, with the left over sushi in-hand. The person in the front was angry that I came in with the food already mostly eaten. Fair, I get that. I explained the situation, and then got us back on topic. She was angry and not listening at all, and got the chef. Fine. I tried to explain what happened with pictures FROM THEIR YELP PAGE and other places to get them to understand why me and the consumer were angry. I couldn't get another sentence in before they were getting angry and talking to me and each other in Japanese. I wasn't playing, so I told both of them to let me finish my argument. You know what the chef said? YELLOWTAIL IS EXPENSIVE. That's it. They knowingly give less fish than other places for similar prices because ITS CHEAPER. There was a lot of telling me off in Japanese after that. I asked for a full refund after that. I get how that'd be cruel; all of the samurai roll was gone and most of the yellowtail. But what's worse is giving a starving 9-6 2-hour commuter rice-filled sushi, and expecting customers be okay paying decent money for rice, what's worth merely cents, and little fish. They gave me a full refund. Before handing the money over, the person in the front said that I should have come with all the sushi, and it shouldn't have been eaten if it was bad. I told her if I had control over that I would have, and that doesn't excuse the quality of what they made. Sad thing is for what you get, the taste is genuinely decent. Not worth the price though. I'm probably not allowed back here, anyways. I wasn't screaming or swearing, but they were super pissed and took my number and name down. Sucks, but the person I ordered for says the sushi isn't worth it, and I got no counter for that. read more

Very fresh and with the fresh homemade Soy sauce it was outstanding! The soy sauce is smooth as silk. I had the kimchi fried rice and it was out of this world. Wish I could have licked the bowl.
