We found this little gem during our weekend drive. We were greeted and immediately seated. We ordered the short rib with Korean BBQ sauce and it was so delicious. I got some maki rolls that were fresh and flavorful. My husband got the Hibachi combo which I tried and it was really good. Who says you need all the theatrics for some good hibachi. My only complaint is that for the price, they should include the salad and the noodles like other places do. The place was clean and decorated simple. They were still playing Christmas music, lol. But we enjoyed this place and recommend it.

Amongst an overwhelming amount of local Sushi restaurants, Sayori is undoubted in a class of its own. Truly offering the freshest, highest quality, sushi, specialty dishes, craft cocktails & sake's. Top quality items like Hokkaido and California Uni, Hokkaido Scallop, Ōtoro and more available. The vibrant color, texture and naturally clean taste of the sashimi's displays unprecedented quality ingredients not to mention the perfect slices. Unique dishes like the verify of Nori Tacos, Omakase/Omakase Mini and various sushi bar appetizers make for adventurous dining opportunities. Very pleasant ambiance, great staff & service, 9.7/10 for top quality Sushi and Sashimi.

Sayori is an absolute standout,. The interior immediately sets the tone: modern, sleek, and elevated. The projection wall creates the illusion that you're dining underwater, which makes the experience feel immersive and unique without being overwhelming. We tried a great variety of dishes, and everything was excellent. The sashimi was incredibly fresh. Each piece was beautifully presented and high quality. The chicken dish was flavorful, and the short ribs were tender and rich, paired with some of the best mashed potatoes I've had. Soup dumplings are always a must for me, and these did not disappoint. For dessert, we ended with the fried Oreos served with ice cream, which was the perfect finale. They also offer a full bar with a great cocktail selection.

Nice restaurant for lunch! We were at the Cinemark to watch a movie and chose Sayori to satisfy our sushi cravings. We ordered the 3-roll special for $15, the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and a Dragon Roll. Everything was good, though there was a bit too much banana in my signature roll--it wasn't quite what I was expecting. However, the ambiance and service were on-point. This is definitely a go-to spot for sushi in the area!

I was trying to find a more local "go to" sushi place since I drive 30 mins for my fav now. I ordered a sushi lunch special with 3 rolls with a salad. I was disappointed to find they gave me a miso soup (don't like that at all) but I was already home by then. They staple your bag so closed you don't really get to check in it when you're paying. I need to get better at doing that. I also felt the rolls sort of fell apart as I ate them. I'd go here if I was in a pinch, however my search for better sushi and service continues.

After being reminded by Yelp of 686 views of my last review on Sayori, we decided to have lunch there today. There were some lovely updates to the ambience. The walls were adorned with exquisite flower bouquets and lanterns. The lunch menu is extensive and there is a wide range of various types of fish chilling in the cases. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is very clean and well organized. There is also plenty of parking right in the front of the building.

Enjoyable take out experience from Sayori. Decided to check it out after our normal sushi restaurant is closed on Sundays. We enjoyed the extensive menu, being able to order online and getting it when we wanted it. Food was fresh and tasty. This is likely our new go to sushi place in the future!

Came back and quality has much improved. The omakase special is a really good value. Will definitely return.

This spot is a standout on the Boston Post Road! Totally a hidden gem in plain sight. The vibe is so cool with projections covering the walls and fun light up coasters. All of the seafood was so fresh, and they had some really creative options, like the wagyu ishiyaki prepared tableside and a filet mignon special with wasabi truffle butter. Everything was delicious, and the service was great. We would absolutely come back!

I really enjoyed the sushi and sashimi lunch special for a reasonable price . You get a side of soup or salad optional pickings from their menu . Sushi is a beautifully made dish I love the brightness of it all , makes meal feel as if I'm putting a perfectly balanced dish in my stomach . We like how attentive Rachel is :-) she's the best ! This place has always been wonderful and welcoming, and very clean. I try to visit at least three times a month. Okay I can't get enough of the tastes of sushi in my mouth. The spicy crunchy salmon is our fave also the sweetness of the yellowtail is irresistible.

Duck Wrap (only complaint was it said there was avocado in it and there wasn't) still great though

Blew away every expectation I had. Every dish we tried became our new favorite. I couldn't tell you a bad thing about this place! The ambiance is gorgeous and the service was quick and polite! She asked us about our favorite dishes and if there was anything we didn't like. We weren't rushed even though we were there til close. Already made plans to go back on Friday it was that good. If I had to choose a favorite I would say the sea and truffle scallops were both stand out dishes.

    Fatty tuna sushi
    Daniel C.

Sayori really impressed us initially when they first opened - amazing fish & delicious sushi rolls in a trendy, classy space with a cool moving ocean mural in the main dining area. The place is very spacious and versatile, as it is great for groups and families, solo eats at the bar, and is intimate and romantic enough for a couples night out. They have fatty tuna & filet mignon rolls which set them apart from other options in the area as more upscale (matches the classy vibe!), so not surprisingly the average price is also higher than competing sushi restaurants in the area. The restaurant's layout was initially disorienting on our first visit. Upon entering, there wasn't a designated host stand or anyone to greet us. It wasn't immediately clear whether to head straight towards the bar area or turn right into the dining room. Due to the way the space is sectioned off, it felt a bit like a game of peek-a-boo when one of the staff members was trying to approach and guide us. Despite the upscale atmosphere, some of the staff members, might have possibly been the managers or owners, were dressed pretty casually, which seemed out of place. Similarly, the service, while perfectly acceptable, lacked the polish you would expect from a higher-end establishment. So there was a bit of a mixed messaging that makes me unsure if they're trying to aim for upscale or more casual. Like I alluded to earlier, we were initially blown away by the quality of the sushi on our initial visit. Their house special rolls and sushi appetizers were bursting with flavor and creativity. In comparison, even classic favorites like the salmon avocado roll seemed a bit bland. After that first experience, I was so impressed that I was ready to declare it the best sushi restaurant in Connecticut. The quality unfortunately wasn't consistent across our visits. The fatty tuna, which was a star during our first experience, was not as stellar on later visits. It lacked the vibrant color and melt-in-your-mouth texture that had initially impressed us so much. This inconsistency made us feel like the overall quality can vary depending on the day. While it's been admittedly a few months since our last visit, I sincerely hope they've addressed some of the kinks we encountered. Their menu's creativity and focus on higher-end ingredients are exciting, and I wish them continued success in refining their execution! I would love to return for another try in the near future and experience the full potential of what they have to offer. By the way, it's time to retire that grand opening sign out front!

This place will not dissappoint. Been here a few times now. We usually get the sushi and sashimi for 2 which includes 1 signature roll. All the signature rolls are great! Have a look at the pick.

Without a reservation, the wait looked pretty long, so I'd definitely recommend calling ahead on holidays or weekends. Even with how crowded it was, the service stayed good throughout the night. The ordering system uses tablets at the table, and because of how busy it was, a few of my orders didn't go through the first time. I mentioned it to our server and he immediately addressed the issue, made sure I reordered everything, and continued checking in to make sure our food was arriving correctly. I also appreciated how accommodating the staff was. I asked for a chicken sushi roll and they made one for me I did have to reorder the seafood boil before receiving it, but the servers stayed attentive, communicated with us, and handled concerns professionally the entire time. What stood out most was that despite the chaos, everyone still seemed to be enjoying themselves. The staff was clearly working hard, but they stayed friendly and attentive throughout the Mother's Day rush. Overall, the food was good, the vibe stayed positive, and it still ended up being an enjoyable holiday dinner with friends and family.
