    N-3 Drunken Noodles Dinner

Great casual spot. The food was delicious and delivery was punctual. Recommend the drunken noodles and the fresh spring rolls were exactly what I wanted.

I took a chance on ordering from this place for the first time, all the reviews seem legit so I figured I'd give it a shot. For lunch I ordered the lunch special of Pad Thai with chicken and I added Shrimp for an extra $3. The delivery came in about 30 minutes (this was through DoorDash by the way. The reason for my 1 star is because the food had a foul spoiled smell. When I opened the bag, the food looked great but the smell was terrible. I believe it was either the chicken or shrimp that could have been spoiled. The noodles were also way over cooked. I tried 2 bites to see if it was worth eating through the smell because I was so hungry. Nope - $15 worth of food straight into the garbage.

Sixty-four Yelp reviewers rated Thai Awesome four stars. Reviewer # 65 certainly agrees. First of all, you really have to love a place with the epic name of "Thai Awesome"! That sets the bar pretty high don't you think? We stopped in for an early Saturday dinner before catching a Quinnipiac hockey game. Thai Awesome is a little larger inside than you would expect, it must have had a dozen or so tables and booths. Service was prompt and friendly. We tried three dishes- the old standard Pad Thai ($9.99), a Green Curry with Chicken (also $9.99), and a Chef Special called Dancing Squid ($12.99) for me. The Squid was advertised as spicy and it was -but to me it was perfectly spicy. It had a definite burn to it, but in a nice way. Delicious squid, carrots, onions, green beans in a spicy garlic sauce with rice. A Terrific dish. I sampled the other two. The Pad Thai was very flavorful and had a nice sauce to it -sometimes Pad Thai is served a little dry, The Green Curry was wonderful - a velvety curry with sweet/tart pineapple. A real nice dish. Bottom line? Three very good meals for $35.06. Nice service, nice comfortable dining room. The only odd thing I noticed was the men's room was as small as the one on Southwest Airlines !!

This was formerly Thai Awesome. Today was their grand opening. This was my first time at either location, and the Tom Kha soup was delicious!

Shhh, don't tell anyone!…read more But also tell everyone you know! Let it Be is a chic, cozy little hole in the wall spot on Dixwell which although you can easily miss, you won't want to because it's a legend of a Thai restaurant. AMBIANCE - 8/10 When you walk inside, you're greeted by a familiar friendly smile (? one of the owners) before being seated amongst brightly colorful interior decor. They play relaxing Thai classics and sometimes switch it up with familiar and vibey pop songs. It's a small space, but is never overcrowded, and there's conveniently plenty of parking in the back. FOOD - 9/10 The food here is incredible. I've tried multiple Thai places in and around the New Haven/Hamden area and Let it Be has got them all beat. Not only are the flavors authentic and high quality, but prices are fair and the dishes are well-portioned. Best of all, they're made with so much heart. Every bite has felt like a journey back home to South East Asia. SERVICE - 9/10 The service here has been phenomenal. Our friendly server is welcoming, prompt, and responsive to our needs. When a dish we asked for wasn't available, he took the time to find similar dishes for us. He also takes the time to make friendly conversation and share with us the history of some of the special dishes. Visits here always just feel like a pitstop at a friendly neighbor's. The only thing is that it can take a bit of time for the food to come out, which is natural as the dishes are likely made to order. OVERALL - 9/10 From the Thai staples (pad thai, red and green curries) to the more avant garde (larb kai but in a bánh mì / hoagie style sandwich?! woah!), this place does it all the right way. If you couldn't tell by now, this is my absolute favorite Thai place and I could not recommend it enough. Ally's Recs: Pad Thai (8/10) - cannot go wrong with a classic Pad See Ewe (9/10) - another classic! tastes great with a squeeze of lime Let it Be Thai Curry (9/10) - delicious house curry; they combo the curries well to create a creamy sweet and savory mixture that always leaves you wanting more Thai Tea (8/10) - if you're down for a treat, the condensed milk hits every time! Longan Juice / Tea (7/10) - refreshing and comes with a bunch of juicy longans on top. such a unique offering!

Hopefully they're doing a big takeout business because we were the only ones inside for dinner. Granted it was 8:30pm, but they are open until midnight. They were accommodating by turning the heat up on this chilly night. They also put on current Thai music for us after we asked about the American music being played. They offered my wife a syrupy lychee drink on the house to take care of the extra heat that she wasn't expecting. They put a bit of a different spin on their version of some popular dishes so don't be mad if it's not what you get at other Thai restaurants. Check out our pics. It was all excellent!

It wasn't too busy for lunch and we were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant is nicely decorated and there were plenty of tables inside and out. Parking wasn't too bad. We all got the bento box and some appetizers. For the appetizers we got fried tofu and dumplings. Both were delicious. I wanted to try something different and decided on the pumpkin curry. It was creamy, nutty and warm. I am glad I picked it. The spring roll was crispy and the salad was fresh. My coworkers got the mango curry and peanut sauce. They both enjoyed their meals. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

Nice little sit down restaurant with a decent amount of seating, friendly staff and excellent food. What I'm happy about is the fact that their portion sizes are bigger than the last time I was here. This place has always made impressive food, but dishes were small and prices were high. This place is still more expensive than their only competition in town, that being Thai Spice, but at least you get more food for your dollar now. Thai Spice still has better value and is very good in its own right, but Bangkok Blvd has the crown for flavor. My tofu pad Thai with no egg was very impressive. Tofu, noodles and vegetables were all fresh and high quality. Sauce was delicious and I liked the texture of the noodles in particular. Just enough onions and scallions to enhance the flavor without overpowering. My pad see eaw with no egg has nice thick, chewy noodles and a savory sauce. I didn't care for the leafy veggies because they were bitter, so I ate them first before enjoying everything else. Still loved it though. It's up to you; Thai Spice is a nice little hole in the wall takeout spot that has lower prices and very good food, but Bangkok is on another level with their flavor if you're willing to pay a little more.

Food- spring rolls are always good. However, I will say my go to is generally the pad Thai. Sometimes it is spot on and other times it almost tastes like there are different cooks, and it where it tastes like it came from a wok that is too hot/singed flavor and the right flavors just aren't there. I did notice they changed to more biodegrading to go products which is nice though! My family member got the Massaman Currt and reported it was not as good as usual, this time around it was very soupy with minimal spice. At the time, I found the ramen competent and the interior pristine, spacious, and modern. Returning for a second visit, I'm happy to report they have withstood the test of time, maintaining high standards for both food quality and cleanliness. To provide context: when Roishi first opened, it felt like ramen shops were everywhere. Fast-forward a few years, fewer shops remain, and unfortunately, many of those survivors just don't stand out to me. The mid-range sushi scene has proven equally unimpressive. Aside from high-end establishments like Hachiroku Handroll Bar, or the outstanding Gohan in Southington, most mid-range joints disappoint with mediocre quality and a lack of creativity. Many may start off strong in quality, like Niu Sushi in East Haven or Sayori in Orange, but eventually their standards slip over time. In the current food scene in Connecticut, finding a restaurant that excels at both ramen and sushi is a rarity. While I enjoy the Spicy Miso at Akatsuki in Hamden, their sushi remains lackluster. Conversely, from what I recall when they initially opened, the sushi at Takumi in Branford impressed me, but their ramen has disappointed. This is where Roishi shines. Perhaps my previous disappointments at other establishments have made me quick to judge, or maybe I simply caught Roishi on an exceptionally good day. Regardless, our last experience at Roishi has won me over, and it has officially become (for now) my go-to for a satisfying bowl of ramen paired with fresh, creative sushi rolls. It is clear the sushi chefs put effort into curating their menu and making their rolls look visually appealing. Our server was pleasant, professional and attentive without being overbearing. While the menu would benefit from rotating specials featuring higher grade ingredients, the restaurant's ability to maintain standards and consistency is a rarity, and is the primary reason I will continue to return as long as they continue to do so!
