I ordered takeout (delivery via GrubHub to be exact) last night and tried the vegetable pad Thai. It came with tofu, which I thought was strange because there was a separate tofu option. I don't mind tofu so I ate it anyways and it was good. I ordered 2 medium spice and it was good, but the dish didn't really taste like pad Thai. Either I didn't have enough sauce or the spice overwhelmed it all. Also - their peanut sauce is my favorite thing on the menu. It is thick, rich and full of flavor. The peanut sauce I got last night it was definitely watered down and lost some of it's flavor. I still love Thai delight but please bring back your normal peanut sauce!! (Updated 3/31) First time trying Thai Delight and I am sooo happy. The Yelp reviews were right - this place is awesome. We ordered the crispy egg rolls, spring rolls, and pad woon sen. The egg rolls were super crispy and not greasy at all. The spring rolls are super fresh. The peanut sauce that comes with them was my favorite part. I'm not a huge peanut fan but oh my gosh this sauce is delicious!!! The pad woon sen is just as yummy as I remember it being when I was a kid. It's filled with perfectly cooked veggies and is still extra hot 30 minutes after I picked it up. read more

I placed a to-go order over the phone and from that moment through to when I picked up my food the service was awesome. When I arrived I checked in and got a free Thai tea (so yummy), and my food was ready to go. I tipped a few dollars being so blown away by the service, but wish I would've tipped more! The food was amazing - hubby and I shared the pineapple fried rice with chicken. The portion was enough for about 4 servings, and we also had the crab puffs and egg rolls as appetizers. Watch out! I ate dinner here last night and have terrible food poisoning today. We ordered take out last night... Pineapple fried rice and an order of pot stickers. We were asked if we'd like to add shrimp and chicken to the fried rice. I wish we had said no, because I suspect the shrimp was the cause. Now my weekend is ruined because I feel terrible and can't get more than 20 feet from the bathroom. I hope no one else has to go through this type of pain because of this place. Stay away! read more

This downtown restaurant has been consistently good- I have eaten here several times over the last few years. This time I had the tempura shrimp appetizer and the fried calamari. They were both good, but I found the sauce that came with the calamari to be much more interesting and tasty than the sweet sauce served with the shrimp. The green curry with chicken was very good, with just the right heat (ordered a 3). A friend ordered a noodle dish that she was slightly disappointed in. Overall I would recommend to try. read more

We have had several great meals there (and love the complimentary ice cream) and the service is friendly. However, I think there growth has raced passed their capacity...we had a bad service experience where we waited 40 minutes with no update and then found it was another 15 minutes...1 hour is way too long to wait, particularly when no indication was given it would be that long. Should have give us a complimentary appetizer or something. Would suggest getting an estimate for food when arriving (treat it like a to go order). Hope they fix this - want to see them succeed. read more

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Ahwatukee! The food is great! I love the crab puffs and yum soon sen! Thai tea is awesome. Visited today for lunch and was blown away! Will for sure be returning. I had the yellow curry, and was completely stuffed. I couldn't eat the soup that came with it and had that for dinner. I googled this Thai restaurant since I am new in this neighborhood and it's not noticeable if you are driving on the main road. This is the 2nd time my wife and I had dinner there in the last 3 weeks and when you eat out, you want delicious food and a nice cozy ambiance to the place...and this place did not disappoint. Well first off I ordered from yelp thinking it was delivery and it actually wasn't. I noticed it had been over an hour since I placed the order so I called and the manager told me it was pick up only (my fault). I told him it was my first time ordering through the app and that I didn't want cold food. He just told me it was still warm.... well warm it was but the chicken was soggy. My pad Thai was to come with shrimp and chicken and I got tofu and chicken :(. I also thought it would be a little more authentic and it wasn't. This is one of my favorite Ahwatukee restaurants. The drunken noodles and ginger chicken are among our favorites. I like my Thai hot, but not so hot that it obscures the rest of the flavors. We like this restaurant a lot. Whenever we are in the Ahwatukee area this is always the place to go. Tonight, the whole dining experience went south for us. Three tables were seated at the same time, so we did expect a slower service. But it was SO SLOW that we waited for more than an hour before our food arrived. What was inexcusable was that NO ONE came to give us updates on the food. Water was not refilled until the very late. We had to ask for the rice for our children after 30 minutes of waiting. My green curry came out fine. The other two dishes were off. The drunk noodle was drenched in sauce. The spicy basil chicken came out to be spicy basil beef and was quite bland. I don't think we are coming back as there are quite a few Thai restaurants in the area. read more

Fried Calamari, nice and crispy with a delicious sweet and sour sauce, one of my go to appetizers. I also tried the Tom Kha soup. Very delicious coconut soup, that always hits the spot. Also the Spicy Basil is a must try. Nothing spectacular, just well cooked, and flavorful Spicy Basil. You can tell that Thai Delight uses fresh ingredients, the food here just taste better than more other Thai places in the area. My wife loves the Phad Thai and usually does not order anything else. We highly recommend Thai Delight, if you are looking for good thai, start here, you will not be disappointed. read more

Ordered delivery through Grub Hub and although the Grub Hub app was estimating at one point that the order was going to take 90 minutes, food arrived pretty quickly and was hot. Excellent food all around - probably the best green papaya salad and green curry we've had in Phoenix. The food we asked for with no spice was appropriately mild and the food we ordered hot had a really good kick but also great flavor (this restaurant has 2 higher spice levels above hot - be careful).
