Got a seat at the bar as several seat were available, good thing I got there when I did, since the seats all disappeared within a few minutes of my arrival. I ordered the country fried steak, with both country white and brown gravy since I did not know which I would like better, white was my fav. I accompanied my main with a loaded baked potato and mixed vegetables. Of course I had to get the bread and honey butter. After a few more visits, I realized my previous review was based on just one experience. My most recent vistm, we went during a Buccaneers game and the restaurant was packed, there was a long wait, but we were lucky to get seats at the bar. The bartenders were very friendly, joked around with us, and were attentive. They checked on us often, whether we needed another drink or once our food arrived. One thing I noticed was that they tried to upsell a few items, sometimes asking if we wanted to add something without mentioning that it was an extra cost. This isn't really a negative, just an observation, Overall, we had a great experience. My meat was cooked perfectly again, the service was 10/10, and everything was excellent. The restaurant has such a fun country atmosphere. The wait staff breaks out in a dance every once in a while to add to the fun! The food is exactly what you would expect; great steaks and bbq. I love a good Texas Roadhouse. Been to many locations and this one is just as good as any I've been to. There was a wait which I wasn't surprised about especially because of the location, but the people here were pretty nice. Our server just so happened to be from Boston as well so I though that was cool- but she was also great. Food tasted yummy and everything came out how we requested- although my Ribeye was supposed to be medium rare, and it was more medium than anything..but as long as it wasn't medium well, it was edible to me. I could tell from my food, my mom's food and my daughter's Mac and cheese that our food was hanging out in the heat lamps waiting on our last plate. It's perfect for that family lunch/dinner when you want to get together with everyone even if they have different cravings etc, everyone always agrees with this one! When I spoke with the manager on duty, Greg, he was incredibly polite, friendly, and professional. He thoroughly explained the restaurant's policies and ensured that everything was ready for our arrival. Our server, Jean, was an absolute delight. He was knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent recommendations, and was incredibly patient throughout the meal. The hosting staff, Sophia and Isabella, were also friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. It's been awhile since we ate at Texas but wow how this location has gone down hill. When we got there it was a wait of 30minutes not bad so we got some rolls to munch on and waited outside. When we got their text saying our table was ready we came inside and the girls working the front were snappy. For not reason one asked "are you on the waitlist" before I could answer her another said "name" I let them know my name and all the girl did was grab rolls and pointed to another lady. So we then proceeded to follow her to a table next to a big party which I didn't care until they started getting upset with the service they were getting. But back to us we sat took a look over the menu and our server was pretty nice she was a little confused when it came to order but she didn't rush us on details. Now the wait for the food took a while they did bring my salad out quickly but for everything else it was like 30mins plus.. it was getting to the point where we wanted to just get it go to. When I waitress noticed we still didn't get out food she ran over and brought more rolls..then it finally the food came out. The chicken on the sampler was not hot and neither was the kids grilled chicken and fries. The loaded potatoes were hot so that was good. But honestly the food wasn't tasting that great. I love getting the side platter with a baked potato and chili and I mix the two but the chili was so chunky of hamburger meat. Made a reservation online because I'm so used to these places having massive wait times. There's literally none in my area so I had to come to Brandon. Got there and we were sat quickly. The server was nice also. Took her a minute to come by but she acknowledged us both times she walked by. We knew what we wanted when she got back, so we were able to give her everything. I let her know I couldn't have bread. Not as a diet thing, but I have a gluten allergy. So I can't have the rolls that are complimentary. I ordered the Texas combo of the 6oz filet mignon and shrimp. With green beans and a salad with only lettuce and Italian dressing. Once again, no croutons or any other item because ei have a dairy allergy, a tomato allergy, and I don't like cucumbers. Well when they brought the meal out, there was a roll under my shrimp. So I had to have them remake it since it was on the bread. Even though I already said I can't have bread. The server said she didn't put two and two together. I said no bread the first time, then food allergies the second time. My only issue, is that it took an additional 15 minutes to make, when it should have been something on the fly. By the time it came out I was famished and tried so hard to eat it slowly and enjoy it because I literally had t eaten in five days because I was sick previously. I used curbside tonight due to the long wait. It's not usually as good to go but tonight it was pretty close! I was impressed by the sirloin portion and perfect grill! The sautéed mushrooms were a great touch too! I had a baked potato which hit the spot. Tahlia was amazing and quick. Courteous and understanding when I never saw a tip option while paying online. The steak cut is beautiful. The drink more expensive compare to the sister company next to them. But the steak is more affordable. We have rib shack appetizer with fries. This is good appetizer. The meat is folk tender. It is fall off the bone. I also order an 8 oz New York strip. This is the few places have petit NY strip. The steak is well cooked to temperature order. My wife and I love Texas Roadhouse. They tend to have quality, affordable food and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, this visit, the food was subpar. Quality control was missed this evening for sure. My wife and I walked in to a busy Texas Roadhouse Thursday night. We were seated right away and our server was around quick. He was friendly and got us started on drinks and an appetizer. We ordered fried pickles. For dinner, my wife ordered her 8oz sirloin with fries and a Caesar salad. I ordered the critters and sirloin combo. The best of both worlds with a side Caesar and fries as well. Our salads were out first. We finished those and then the appetizer showed up. The fried pickles were decent and came with a cajun horseradish sauce. We enjoyed them. The sauce is zingy and paired well. Then our meals came out. Both of our dishes smelt overwhelmingly like seafood. My steak smelt like it was cooked with a filet of fish on it. So did my wife's. The fries were the same. The taste was fine. Nothing tasted like seafood but somewhere, the seafood crossed paths with our steaks and wasn't appealing. We mentioned it to our server but he said the way the kitchen is set up, it's impossible. He said he was gonna mention something but never came back with a resolution. My steak was cooked medium-rare and was a bit chewy still. Usually the quality of the meat is better but this didn't seem like the bar usually set by Texas Roadhouse. My wife ordered her steak medium-well, which should have had the slightest amount of pink left. She didn't even finish it. They chose to cook it extra-well done shoe leather. My chicken tender critters were good but were much smaller than the last time I ordered this meal. They were the only thing on the plate that didn't smell like seafood. I doused them in honey mustard and shared some with my wife since her steak was not edible. The bill was also entered wrong. I was charged for a meal that was 2-dollars more than the one I had. I mentioned it to our server and he said the manager told him it was the same button for both meals even though they are two separate menu items with two different prices. In the end, the price was corrected. In the past, we've always been happy with Texas Roadhouse. I chose this place for my birthday two days after they opened last year. Our most recent visit before this was more than a few months ago but it seems things are not up to standard anymore. Based on this visit, my review is 3 stars. read more

Wow what a super craptastic meal and service. We seated at 7:15 and didn't get our meal till 8:00. The little man ordered a 8 oz Dallas Filet with double steak fries and the Mrs ordered the grilled shrimp while I ordered the the 6 oz sirloin. The waitress was a little rough around the edges and when the little guy asked for plastic ware she came back and slammed down four sets for the three of us. We waited 45 minutes for the found and the filets looked the same cut of meat as my sirloin. Both were cold, dried out and improperly cooked. The server that brought the food wasn't even our server and she slammed down the food and disappeared without even walking if we needed anything else. The little man steak was thin as super tough to cut. It was clearly not a filet. Mine was dried out and scorched when I asked for a medium. The Mrs shrimp wasn't fully cooked and had been parboiled then slapped on the grill for a short time. We asked to speak to the manager and we were sent the server manager. She explained to us that the filet had to be butterflied to cook to well done and it was only cooked to medium well. I told her that was ridiculous as we have eaten at Texas Roadhouse before and the filet is normal as soft tender cut of meat and this was clearly a sirloin with its odd shape. Their cooks need to be trained to properly cook as everyone knows that cooking a steak too well requires it to be seared then moved from the direct heat and cooked longer. The same with a medium. Shrimp should come out to the point that they are white and red not tan and somewhat translucent. The fact the server manager said that some location does not butterfly their filets tells me that this kitchen is not running to the corporate standard. @TexasRoadhouse you need to look into this location as they are in need of learning to properly cook and provide better customer service. read more
