So so so good! Their dishes never disappoint while we we're waiting we decided on chick-n-bones for dinner. The best menu items for me is the steak and cheese and the chicken breast and you have to get a side of the white peppercorn sauce with it because it's absolutely amazing and their chicken is so juicy and tender you're going to eat the whole plate. ( it looked like there was) I take home 1/2 of most almost everything I order at a restaurant, so if it's not enough food for me the dish isn't a value. My sons BBQ Chicken sandwhich was good, his baked beans were not. A spicier sauce to mix in with them might have helped, however they only had one BBQ sauce option. I've passed by this place so many times thinking it was just a catering place. I didn't realize it was a restaurant specializing in flame broiled chicken. My hair stylist (Phillip) recommended it when I was contemplating what to get for mom on the way home. He mentioned the "No Name" which consists of yellow rice, black beans, and chopped chicken. He also mentioned that the chicken is chopped up as you wait. That sounded good to me so I stopped by on the way home. I'm so happy I took his advice yet again. As I was about to walk in, I noticed some pictures of the food and the menu posted on the storefront window. It was the chicken that called my name. I walked in and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful man behind the counter. He explained the menu to me, and made some suggestions. I got the 3 piece (all dark) dinner which comes with 2 sides and pita or Cuban bread. I got the chicken & pasta soup and sweet plantains which I knew mom would love. I got the chicken pita sandwich which comes with a side of their parmesan pepper dressing. He immediately started chopping up the chicken and preparing our meal. It was all done quickly and professionally. I was out of there within 15 minutes. Great service! I arrived with my bag of goodies. Mom was super happy to see chicken. It smelled so good. The taste was even better. The dark meat was juicy and the skin was amazingly good. The skin was so tasty and crispy. They must use butter to baste it. It was very reminiscent of the Kenny Rogers chicken chain (back in the day), and very close to a rotisserie chicken that I used to get at Milam's when I lived in Miami. I'm definitely going back to get a whole chicken next time. It was pretty awesome! The plantains were nice and sweet, but a little charred on the outside. It was still very good considering it was overdone. Mom really liked her chicken soup. It had large pieces of chicken and tricolor pasta. She is a fan. The chicken pita was just as good. Not as juicy as the leg and thigh, but it had good flavor and the chicken was plentiful. The parmesan pepper sauce complimented the pita sandwich. The pita was pretty terrific too. I will be back for more chicken. I also want to try their wraps, salads, and the "No Name" one day soon. Stopped in after my tax advisor recommended Chick N Bones for lunch. There were no customers inside at the time so they greeted me right away. I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla and threw in some chocolate chip cookies for .70/each. They started working on my order right away. By then several customers had wandered in. I was outta there in less than ten. The cashier yelled out, "Quesadilla!" & I went up to grab my bag and the cook from the back made an extra effort to smile, wave bye, wishing me a good day and to come back soon. The food was everything I wanted it to be: hot and delicious. It's challenging to receive good customer service in this Covid Season. People underestimate the power of a salutation. Stopped in for lunch and ordered a quarter white meat chicken breast and wing well done. The prices for the chicken were good and what I ordered was cooked as I asked. As you can see in the pictures, the chicken wing was tiny, and the chicken breast lacked a fair amount of the skin. Bottled or fountain drinks are available (Coca Cola) products. The taste of the chicken was better than average. My palate not that refined, but I would venture that the chicken was marinated, but not for quite long enough. They apparently do a fair amount of catering, as I heard several phone catering orders being taken while I was eating. No bones about it, this is Good Chicken. I have only tried the flame broiled chicken so this review is simply based on that. To be honest, walking in, I was not too excited to eat here. The menu board is in desperate need of a face lift, the restaurant is dimly lit, the people hanging in the parking lot where scary and it all sort of gives you that "is it safe to eat here" feeling. However we grabbed an 8 piece to go with some super friendly service. We took it home and found they had given us a few extra pieces for free and it was a good thing because we devoured it. Now I find myself craving some more chicken! It was great! Not too greasy but had great flame-broiled flavor. The skin was crispy and addicting.
